On the first episode of the new season, we are joined by Rodolfo Fierro, who co-founded Nuba. Nuba is an automated virtual backpack that helps students organize their multimedia files, which are increasingly being captured on their cellphones. If you give Nuba your class schedule, it will sort and store the files into the correct class folders during class time. Rodolfo will share his experience and the challenges he faced as an entrepreneur and offer tips on how to take advantage of the resources and networking events provided by UTEP and other institutions in the borderplex area.

As leaders in their own business, an entrepreneur's mental health is of top importance. They guide their team and a reflection on what they are feeling internal. Here to talk to us today is Dr. John Wiebe, Provost of The University of Texas at El Paso and Psychology Professor.
Dr. Wiebe has a Doctorate in Clinical Health Psychology from the University of Iowa. He has 21 years of experience at UTEP and helped to build the institution into a top-tier research university that is arguably the best Hispanic-serving university in the country. Dr. Wiebe’s research has focused on adaptation to severe chronic medical conditions. He is interested in individual differences in cognitive, emotional, and behavioral adaptation to chronic illness, and developing clinical interventions to improve patient adaptation and quality of life in resource-limited environments.
