Inspired by the recent FX series, Capote vs the swans, that is so successfully trending currently, I am discussing here the topic of inner-circles and social exclusions. Is is right, is it toxic? Is it discriminating? I, for one, am a believer of the necessity of inner-circles by limiting our interactions with very few, trust-worthy, time-tested and high-quality individuals as a form of self protection and self love. Life is very complicated and we have to use boundaries and limit our interactions and trust in order to protect ourselves and allow the right people in. In my opinion it is OK to have an inner circle, the very few friends or family that you call your tribe. It’s not about discrimination, exclusions or toxicity. True story! the story of the famous and infamous American author Truman, Capote, (Breakfast at Tiffany’s) and the swans of NYC. Who were the swans? They were the most famous socialites and beautiful style trendsetters of NYC of the 50s 60s and 70s. These women, married to the most influential men, were very glamorous and ultra rich, with beautiful style and beautiful aesthetics were the most prominent social taste-makers. To be extremely chic and glamorous was their main purpose in life as well as to be a greatest asset to their very affluent and powerful husbands. They were considered to be a “trophy” and they were spoiled with high-maintenance and very expensive tastes. There was definitely a lot of excitement and influence back then…their style and influence is still inspiring us today. During these times, here was also a very famous scandal. I’m gonna be speaking all about that here and on the next few episodes because I find this topic, this scandal… these stylish influencers and socialites extremely fascinating… after all… I love fashion. It’s trending - the mob wife aesthetic! Its glamorous…the look of the mythical mob wife with the bold attitude, and the bold style has made its formal come back! She’s unapologetically bold, she’s strong, she’s resilient. She’s somehow fashionable and definitely noticeable. What makes the aesthetic coined a “mob wife aesthetic?” Here, I am describing, the look and details, ex. the style of the hair, the make-up, the nails, the heels, the bold jewelry and the fur coat, the leopard prints etc, that are some of the style tools used to create this aesthetic. We all have been there. Certain friendships really crossed certain lines (due to our lack of clear boundaries) and turned out to be disappointing and hurtful. Strong and defined bounties are a must when it comes to dealing with friends and people in general in order for us to have easier, happier and more fulfilling relationships. In this episode I’m going to discuss with you ways you can design your most ideal summer season. Yes, summer here and it’s really up to us to attract the best experiences by being the best version of us - our vibrations matter! How we interpret our past experiences and how we label ourselves matter as well. By focusing on “that ideal summer” we design it by having ideal self labels, ideal attitudes and beliefs. We decide what and who (in our lives) we keep going forward. We toss aside anything outdated and energy blocking and this is where we have the control of making the right choices and decisions and eventually actions. How do we upgrade ourselves and we become the 2.0 version of us? We all need an upgrade and uplift in order to uplevel and attain our goals… which ideally are to become closer to the divine. We all need infusion with energy and we must make sure we give it to ourselves. Sometimes this much desired energy comes from our environment and things, places, people that we choose to surround ourselves with… for example, our cities. While enjoying some recent events in Manhattan, New York City recently, I felt its uplifting. 2.0 vibration and that furled, energised and inspired me to create this episode. I have an idea. At the age of anxiety, depression, tons of different diseases and different issues and conditions and different diagnosis’s, at the age where there is a lot of mental situations and people are not as well as they used to be in the past, how about figuring out how to deal with our nature - for real this time, without having any guild from society, without having to apologize, without any taboos, and really embrace our true feminine nature! As a woman, I was raised in a society where enough was not enough and being a woman - just being a pretty face was not enough. I don’t know, maybe it was me and my upbringing…. my demanding parents… I was always expected to do more. to get an education, to have a career, to be better, perfect. to be good at this… Enough was not enough - I had to be perfect all the time in everything / in a man’s world and woman’s world. And yet, I was only a woman. How can this happen successfully? it’s not very easy I say. Do you relate to this? I feel it’s a generational thing. We have to embrace our femininity, stop competing with men, and stop feeling guilty. We embrace our nature and excel at that, only that! This is what I say. What do you say? It is the Law of Karma, a Universal law that we all should be aware of...It’s like...a tricky thing. To serve karma, one must repay good karma to others. To serve karma well, one must sometimes deliver bad karma where it is due... complicated... it’s like a rubber band. You can only stretch it so far before it comes back and smacks you in the face. You pay for your previous bad behavior. “You might have burned me with your lies, but karma is about to set you on fire.” Someone said once. Facing the ugly emotions and physical discomfort due to certain anxieties or, perceived fears are very much a huge phenomenon in our lives these days. Mine as well. Indeed, we are going though some very difficult situations and the anxiety is very high. This dysfunctional and very aggravating emotional state is very difficult to navigate and painful as well. It happened to me recently, out of nowhere, I started being very anxious and panicking about work while fir ingredients myself to take it to the next level and grow. As an entrepreneur, I had to make certain moves, and I found myself afraid, indecisive, nervous and stuck. Not able to complete my tasks and achieve my desired goals was extremely difficult for me and very aggravating, forcing me to realize that I had a problem there and forcing me to take certain steps to resolve them. I am sharing with you my research and getting ready to attack the anxiety, procrastination, stress and related low self esteem because the pain is so unbearable. Life is difficult as it is - we all have our challenges and our “moments.” Having no balance, or, dealing with dysfunctional situations, our lives can become intolerable and harsh. Pain, disfunction and aggravation can turn from bad to worst... to toxic, and this is not a fun and happy place to be in. We choose people who we think they will “rescue” us and we give and give and give in hopes that they will appreciate us, love us and rescue us out of our perceived victimhood and misery... and then, we get the message: we have been taken for granted, used and abused, devalued and hurt. How do we do it? Move on after this interruption of the last year and a half where our lives were dramatically and abruptly forcefully altered. We have all been in a deep hibernating mode, waiting for a divine force to come and save us, take us out from this lethargy. But we are that force! We have to create the changes we so much desire and figure out what we want going forward, and go for it! Get it! Get that life, that dream, that desire. We have to create “that” change for us, and for others. As a collective we are deciding that we want our lives back and we are dreaming again.
