In this SECOND EDTION of "Work Well with Your Self", we introduce the "art of play" as a holistic modality to increase and tap into the mind-body connection.
How many times have we all said, "I'm BUSY!" Ok, honestly, my hand immediately went up! The reality is, we don't see ourselves becoming less busy, right? The repetitive cycle of daily tasks, checker-blocked calendars, family commitments and ruminating thoughts can send any CEO, student or stay-at-home parent into burnout and check out status.
Here is where Jubilee Counseling and Wellness, LLC JaVon Townsend, licensed social worker, Fulbright researcher (Accra, Ghana) and Albert Schweitzer Fellow (Baltimore City) supports our personal, community and workplace spaces with "ground centering" play through creative arts. Jamar "Tank" Dials graduated college from UNCP in 2009 and went to the NFL combine and had workouts with the Bill's, Jets, Dolphins, CFL, Arena teams as well. Tank retired from football in 2017 and joined the film industry working as Key Stage Manager with Prime Video & Amazon Studio. Kiana Barron was appointed the Statewide Consumer Protection Enforcement Investigator. In 2015, She oversaw multi-State investigators, and administrative personnel working to protect consumers from deceptive and unfair practices in the commercial marketplace, and risk management violations. She previously served as Deputy Emergency Management Specialist, District of Columbia. Kiana developed or oversaw hundreds of enforcement actions and led major policy initiatives related to privacy, emerging technologies, deception, and fraud. She also developed several significant FTC rules. She is a graduate of University District of Columbia (2018) and OSHA Academy (2016).
