On February 8, the students had their normal chapel service at Asbury University. Then about 20 students stuck around afterward and continued to pray and worship. In two weeks 50-70 thousand people have visited Asbury University to encounter God and be part of this of non-stop prayer and worship service!

“FAITH” is a very common word we use with our Christian friends or when referencing our “faith in God.” Faith is a foundational principle for Christians - Saints - Disciples - Followers of Jesus!

Who or why would anyone want to serve an angry, un-loving, un-faithful god?
God designed you for a specific purpose to do good works where you live.
Psalm 100:5 For the LORD is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.
Our thoughts are powerful - they shape the way we view life, our behavior, how respond to situations in life!
Proverbs 4:23 Be careful how you think; your life is shaped by your thoughts.

In my 25 years of traveling for global missions - I experienced one of my most difficult challenges on our last trip to India.
You must be on your guard. You will be handed over to the local councils and flogged in the synagogues. On account of me you will stand before governors and kings as witnesses to them. And the gospel must first be preached to all nations. Whenever you are arrested and brought to trial, do not worry beforehand about what to say. Just say whatever is given you at the time, for it is not you speaking, but the Holy Spirit. Mark 13:9-11

Today I want to discuss, give you my thoughts and biblical context on COVID19. There’s so much chatter - debate in our society - within the church and opposing viewpoints and arguments about getting the vaccine and wearing masks!
Psalm 118:9 It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in princes.
Our time on this earth is limited, Yes we will live for eternity, but our days on earth are numbered. So we must maximize what we do with our time. We need to re-evaluate our priorities!
Ecclesiastes 3:1-2 For everything there is a season, a time for every activity under heaven. A time to be born and a time to die.
When you think of worship – what do most people think of?
- We think of singing songs in church
- Singing the latest worship song in your car
- Putting on your favorite worship playlist on YouTube
John 4:23 - But an hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in Spirit and in truth. Yes, the Father wants such people to worship him.
I’m thankful that God’s mercies are new every morning - every day - every year!
Let’s put our mistakes behind us and press forward, seek God and love people!

2022 Prayer and Challenge
My prayer and challenge is that you become the person you are meant to be on the earth in 2022.
Don’t go through life stuck in a job or career that God did not intend for you. Follow your dreams, passions and fulfill your destiny on the earth. Contact me if you need prayer, guidance and wisdom to become the person you are meant to be.

God’s people have so much to be thankful for – even if you are going through a tough time in life. For those who don’t know God or maybe you were once close to Him – God loves you, and His mercy endures forever!
Psalm 118:1 Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! His faithful love endures forever.
DISTRESS? In my distress I prayed to the Lord, and the Lord answered me and set me free. Psalm 118:5
PEOPLE? The Lord is for me, so I will have no fear. What can mere people do to me? Yes, the Lord is for me; He will help me. I will look in triumph at those who hate me. It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in people. Psalm 118:6-8
POLITICS - GOV’T? It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in princes. Psalm 118:9
FINALLY The Lord is my strength and my defense. He has become my salvation. Psalm 118:14

But there’s something we should always do, and that is to rejoice in the Lord. Now we don’t rejoice when sickness hits us or when we lose our job. We rejoice in the Lord because of who he is and what he’s done for us!

In today’s podcast, I share an essential leadership principle that I learned when I worked for John and Lisa Bevere of Messenger International. Also, when I traveled to Israel, I discovered the origin of Psalm 23, which is the famous battle between David and Goliath.

What does this really mean? Cultivate means to till, prepare the ground, and do the kind of things that promote growth through your labor and attention. It also means to improve, to take whatever you have and make it better, to create the conditions to sustain life and to do the kinds of things that make it even better than you found it. When God told Adam to cultivate the garden, he wanted Adam to bring out the very best to maximize the potential. (Excerpt from A Real Man by Brian Chu)

I was talking with our kids tonight about how important it is to SEEK after God regularly. You can do this by reading the bible, prayer, listen to worship, going to church, etc.
James 4:8 - Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you.

LIVE TO FORGIVE
I myself always strive to have a conscience without offense toward God and men. (Acts 24:16)
Being angry at God or holding bitterness towards someone that hurt you will hinder your relationship with God. If you live on this earth and breathe air, you will have many opportunities to experience offense, hurt, hatred, and betrayal. Jesus said that offense and hatred in the Church would be two signs of the last days.
Matthew 24:10 Jesus said, “And then many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another.”

DAILY REFLECTION: Are there some changes you need to make to help your family be healthier and happier?
If anyone does not provide for his immediate family, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever. (1 Timothy 5:8)
As a husband and father, I must make good decisions for my wife and kids. I read this passage and hear the message speaking directly to me. God wants to make sure that I provide for my immediate family and make decisions that will keep them healthy and safe, not cause pain and suffering.

As I observe and evaluate my life, I have divided life on earth into 30-year segments. In a few years I will enter my final 30-year segment of life and my goal is to finish well. This podcast will challenge you to ask these questions:
