If superwoman collided with Black Girl Magic she'd be Kalisha "Fly" Carmichael. This single mother of three left a lucrative career in retail management to build her coffee brand to become a household name with coffee aficionados in the black community. After seeing an increase in demand for bagged coffee as more and more people shift to working from home and with the black community rallying behind black owned businesses, Kalisha struck while the iron was hot and 10X her coffee foot print.
My favorite highlights of this episode are when Kalisha shares:
Listen as we reenact Kalisha's morning routine, a visit from her district leader, resigning from Target and her emotional breakdown.

How many people can say they confidently quit their job in the middle of a global pandemic and successfully launched a soy candle company? My guest, Shaleita Minor, owner of Ooh La Light Candle Co. can.
Oh La Light Candle Co. was birthed during a time when the stress of Shaleita’s 9-5 as an administrative assistant at a prominent university coupled with personal health issues caused her to feel overwhelmed and needing an outlet to practice self-care.
Soon after starting what was more of a candle making hobby, Shaleita soon realized that she had found her ministry and quickly fell in love with the craft.
In this episode, I really love what Shaleita had to share about:
Listen as we reenact, Shaleita’s commute to work, an office meeting, lunch date with a co-worker and Shaleita resigning.
