'INFLOW with CHANGE' podcast has the intention to create awareness in a world in constant transformation, to remind ourselves how strong and powerful we are within and that we always have a choice.
Through body awareness and the magic of our breath, we tap into our inner knowing and invite more curiosity and clarity into our lives. We let go of perfectionism and what we think we should be and simply be who we truly are.
This is a space for exploration. Can we listen to our inner guidance?
Gray is a Oxygen Advantage Master Instructor and running coach.
I met Gray during my Oxygen Advantage certification in London, where he guided us through the power of breathwork as well as interesting insights of QiGong.
I really wanted to get on with this interview to explore more the relation between movement and breath, especially running.
I often hear 'I hate running, I am always out of breath!' - is that an uncomfortable feeling we need to get used to or are we approaching running in the 'wrong way'?
As Gray says: 'We can get out of breath (for lack of better wording) but we should not lose control of it'.
Gray tells us how we can connect with our breath while running, what it means 'ease of movement' and what are the early signs of dysfunctional breathing at the beginning of a run. Shall we slow down or 'go through it'?
I would love to hear your feedback. Please, feel free to share it!
With love,
Sara
In today's episode, together with the Dutch National Team goalie Laura Aarts, we talk about dry-land training for Waterpolo athletes.
Laura is only 26 years old but with more then 15 years of waterpolo experience. She is currently playing for the Dutch National Team as well as for the Hungarian club DFVE, while aiming to the Olympics of Paris 2024. She is also a physiotherapy student and a trainer (inside and outside the pool).
Her curiosity and knowledge about the human body plus the many years experience in the Waterpolo world, bring her here with us.
Today we talk about dry-land training, how it is currently and what - in our vision - could be improved. We try to give a different angle to the way we look at this incredibly demanding and intense sport and how we could potentially, create a more resilient athlete.
We talk about coordination and stability as two main components that need to be trained for athletes so to prevent injuries. Also, we look at how important is 'strength training' and how we could make it even more functional through alternative ways.
.. and much more in this episode with Laura. A MUST listen.
With love,
Sara
What does it mean to be authentic in life?
In today's episode we will talk to Ra Van Den Berg about that and much more.
Ra is an holistic life coach (currently studying at Elementum Coaching Institute), who supports people to reconnect to their inner guidance, to access more creativity and cultivate trust.
Ra will share about her own experience and what to her means to live authentically; we will also talk about Inner Child Work - what it is and how it can help and support you in becoming more self-aware. Together with Ra, we will navigate the concept of trust and what it means to feel safety within our body.
We will also try to give our perspective on 'not knowing what to do in life' and how we personally navigate that.
How can you get in contact with Ra?

Email: coachingwithra@gmail.com
book a 90 min clarity call to get to know her, her work and how can she support you.
How do you breathe?
What is a good HRV (Hear Rate Variability)?
What is it?
This episode is a 'technical' one.
We often talk about being in connection with our bodies, often when we feel stressed we are suggested to practice Yoga and to meditate - but, why?
What are the emotional, physical and mental benefits of having a high HRV?
Can we train it?
Why exercising or even working when our body is asking for rest - could potentially be dangerous or at least not efficient for our otherwise super clever body.
this is a MUST listen, it will give you the tools to understand breathwork - your body and much more.
Thank you. With love,
Sara
A short episode about the incredible interconnection between body and mind.
This episode is inspired by a book by Gabor Mate' - 'When the body says no'.
Through many stories of real people, the author try to share with us how hidden emotions can cause our bodies to respond, to say NO when we are not capable. Because our bodies know.
I also share a more personal story, a personal experience of how holding back emotions - turned to a minor body reaction (in my case).
I talk about the importance of developing awareness with our body and developing the link/interconnection body&mind.

Sara

The thing is, we have adopted a lifestyle that goes completely against our own nature.
"We live in an overly stressed society". What does that mean and why?
Stress is not a negative feeling per se.
In today's episode we dive deep into the meaning of stress and how it affects our health.
We will talk about the 'language' spoken by Stress and how we can communicate with it.
We will talk about the 'science' behind stress and look at it in a more objective way.
We will talk about the importance of Breathwork to self-regulate.

'When things fall apart' the most powerful tool we have, that keeps us anchored and can make us feel safe, is our own breath.
In today's episode we will dive into this topic by reading through the pages of a wonderful book 'When things fall apart' by Pema Chodron, one of the most renowned spiritual teachers in the west today. She is an American Buddhist nun, the resident teacher of Buddhism at Gampo Abbey in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, the first Tibetan monastery in North America.
When things fall apart, when life feels shaky, when all seems to be completely out of our control - we can come back to a stillness that is within.
In today's society we have been taught to run, to move fast, to fix ourselves and to be happy; maybe they did not tell us with these words but ultimately, we constantly feel there is something wrong with us. There is something wrong if we feel sad, we shouldn't. There is something wrong if we feel overwhelmed, disappointed, stressed.
What if those emotions are there to tell us something?
What if chaos was a beautiful gift? What if we could open to uncertainty, overwhelm, sadness and receive all of it?
We tend to push "negative" emotions away but with this episode, I want to invite you to welcome them in.
To breathe through each one of them, with intention.
My deepest intention is to spread awareness about the importance of being in connection with ourselves.

Sara
'The way we breathe is the way we live"
What does the way we breathe truly signify? The way we breathe is in direct relationship to our capacity to create and receive anything: life experiences, presence, love, money, responsibility etc.
In today's episode I will be having a very powerful conversation with Nora Wiedemann.
Nora is a breathworker, breath teacher, leadership coach, somatic practitioner & medicine woman who guides individuals and groups in re-wiring their nervous system from who they think they should be to who they truly are.
Together with Nora we will be talking about the importance of being in connection with our own breath. We often think that we need to change things outside of us in order to ... (fill in the gap). Even though sometimes that can help, returning to the simplest tool of them all can be far more powerful that anything outside of ourselves!
