This week Ryan joins us to discuss this cross country carbon race machine a customer purchased at Trekbikes.com and had shipped to the Shed. We love when customers take advantage of this route to get their new bike.
If you have not owned a Trek Bike previously then stop by the shop to get properly fitted before ordering (a Jamis Bike). 30 Day Fit Guarantee means you can bring a Trek Bike back within 30 days to exchange it for another bike or different size if you figure it out after a few rides then Trek makes the dealer eat the cost and keep the bike (again shady). We are happy to get it turned around and get the right bike back between your knees!

Mustache and I discuss signs of a head injury, when to seek help, how it’s effected our lives, and how to recovery from a TBI.
-
Most of you have probably had a concussion of some sort over the years, it’s why we are MTBrs. If you hit your head, don’t mess around. Let a doctor clear you, don’t tough it out.
-
I’m lucky to have had Dr Ernie Ahlborn, a mountain biker and amazing customer, that kept pushing to get me treatment and back on level. I was resistant of course but he kept pushing me to do something. My recovery had halted before he stepped in. He pulled my blood addressed deficiencies, got me started with HBOT, and provided care so I could get back to “normal” life as well as provide the referrals I needed to a neurologist and nuero ophthalmologist. Thanks to his treatment and guidance, I get to live my life again. Wish I had the opportunity to tell him how much that has meant to my family. But in his honor, I’ll continue to push to try to help others fight their way back from injury and sickness.
Sit in with the guys behind the Missouri Enduro Series. We’ll run through what to expect this year from LOKI Events Matt Johnson and course designer Jeff Powell. Jeff gets into the thought process behind stages and gives some juice on this years opening race, the Greensfelder Enduro. It’s designed as a great entry to enduro racing while still allowing more advanced riders to challenge themselves at higher speeds. If your on the fence about racing this season, START HERE!

Hey there. Get settled in for for movie night at the Shed. It's a slow winter today so we decided to watch Klunkerz which is by far my favorite movie. This shorter 30 min podcast will point out some of the more exciting bits and explore Gary Fishers continued role with Trek. Don't worry, there's no spoilers. Crazy the similarities to today that you will notice as they tell the story of the innovators of our sport in Marin County. Oh and Brett, the mechanic, tells us about his 80s Klunker with coaster brakes. Listen in then jump check out the movie or look up some Gary Fisher interviews. It'll get you hyped to see what he has to say!
Hey guys. Episode 13 seems to be fitting for tonights topic. Mustache and I go over the recent news about Specialized going D2C. This isn't new and we've seen others brands beginning this process over the past couple years. I go into a bit of a rant to express my dismay and give you guys an insight to what it looks like to own a local bike shop. Much love to you guys but zero love for those companies choosing short term greed over the long term health of our sport. Tune in and get fired up with us.
What’s going on mountain bikers? Tonight we will run you through the Trek Slash 7 for the first 30 minutes before we discuss the bike industry as a whole through COVID. We will go into what’s been happening and what we see happening moving forward. Oh and we take a minute to reintroduce you to the Honda rN01 downhill bike with its internally geared drivetrain.
Thanks for dropping back in. Mustache and I discuss what you should take on rides and what gear is important to where. You get the same no nonsense convo that you would get in store. Find out the Pros and Cons of each item.

How's it going? Mustache gets into his experience, the good and the bad, on the Marin El Roy for the first 30 minutes or so of the podcast. Then we get into talk about the BME and Shepherd Mountain Bike Park. Ironton is full of haunted houses and some of the nicest folks that are excited to see you visit town. I wrapped up with my plans this week to celebrate my birthday year. (FYI we recorded a previous stream on available on Youtube but couple wonky audio hiccups so it wasn't uploaded here)
Hey, hey. Mustache has a new bike day. Its a Trek Remedy 8....which was supposed to be mine. We run through our thoughts on the bike. You're a little late to the party but glad you made it by. Coach Mike and Cody are here to help us navigate getting into mountain biking. We start with general info with more details about the Wheels Up Enduro Team start around 30 minutes. Happy Trails!
Glad you’re here. We tried to get a review in on the 2022 Trek Slash but as per usually a customer swung in. We helped them check in a Walmart bike for a safety build :/ while we played you guys an interview with Cam Zink and Cody Wilkins from Sensus RAD Trails and their early involvement to spark the progressive trail movement in St Louis.
I ran through my experience as steward for our local trail building group after the last workday I scheduled before resigning from the position shortly after. You’ll have to listen in for details.
We can not ship Trek Bikes. Our inventory is current online. You can buy a bike online but it must be picked up in person. There’s no way around that. You buy it, you have to pick it up. Sorry but awesome bike and it’s a fun visit here in the Midwest with plenty of great stuff around. Eureka is located 20 minutes from downtown St Louis and is more wooded out here by far then Development with more than 50 miles of awesome trails.

Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, and Happy WINTER SOLSTICE. Thanks for spending your holiday with us. We set out to discuss Christmas gift ideas. They guys told us what they want for Christmas and I discussed my holiday trip to Branson, MO. Mustache gives us a rundown on the 4 new downhill parks built in Missouri in the past year or so. Hey, hey. Thanks for coming by to hang out again. Ok, some the audio delays start again but we are figuring it out. Mustache walks us through his Slopeduro rig and lets us know if he recommends it for anyone else. Then I start getting fired up about trail Karens taking to social media with there passive aggressive nonsense. We talk about the current state of the bike community in STL and how it has moved recently. All meant in good fun from a bunch of foggy mountain boys.
Oh hey, didn't see you there. Mustache runs through the 2022 Fuel EX 5 with us, a customer comes in to talk about his bike, and we go over some tips for new riders like trail etiquette and bike maintenance between every ride. You might learn something from this episode. Catch you next time!
Hey, how's it going. Glad you came by to meet our newest crew member at the Shed, Pape. We talked about the bike he rides and some grams hung out for a bit. Listen in as long as you like. Hope your headed out for a ride!
Thanks for swinging back in. Ok, last file with some audio mistakes. Skip ahead a few minutes to get into the show. We talk about Fox helmets mostly but go over some key features. Some other shop stuff goes on as well. These were a few weeks ago so I didn't go back to far.
