Cheating has so many repercussions that affect the cheater and victims such as the person being cheated on, family, kids, etc. Recovering and healing takes at least a year and intentionally therapy. Self-confidence is important to build before a relationship. Your confidence should come from your relationship with the Lord. Join me as we discuss it.
Self-confidence or self-esteem issues stem from a lack of faith. Do we believe what God says about us? That we are made in his image, that he loves us, and had a plan for us even as we were in our mother’s womb. If he has a plan for us, are we worthless? Are we junk? Jeremiah 29:11 Self-esteem issues create problems in our relationships and is used as a weapon against us by Satan.
Before you start dating it is important to make sure you have a strong and solid foundation. Before you add a partner and their baggage (history, fears, faults, talents, etc) good and bad, you need to be able to handle it. I had to decide what type of Christian that I wanted to be and what type I want my spouse to be versus the one I currently was.
