The Business in Medicine Podcast

Hosts, Adrian Kuchtaruk and Brandon Loshusan, are medical students at the Schulich School of Medicine in London, Ontario, and Co-chairs of the Business in Medicine Club. Similar to the club, the Business in Medicine podcast aims to educate medical students, residents, and early practicing physicians on various topics of business that affect the day-to-day lives of healthcare professionals. Whether we like it or not, business plays a fundamental role in how healthcare services are delivered. Business is integrated into all facets of healthcare including the decision to incorporate or not; health innovation; the allocation of scarce resources; and entrepreneurship. Having an understanding of how these systems work is essential to becoming a well-rounded physician. In addition to business in healthcare, this podcast will dedicate several episodes to discussing personal finances and building wealth as a future physician. Topics will include paying off student loans, when to hire a financial advisor, investing in real estate, retirement planning, and much more.
