This weekend we will wrap up our series, Navigating in a Foreign Land. The finale of this series finds our friend, Daniel, honoring God once again in the midst of a campaign to assassinate him. The drama he faces provides for us many lessons of how to face disruption in life with confidence and hope.

Sunday we conclude the I Get You message series. Sunday's message will emphasize that couples can truly understand and to love one another by first recognizing God's great love for them. We will be discussing the Hebrew word for God's love "Hesed". God's unwavering, loyal, and steadfast love. Throughout the Old Testament, "Hesed" is shown through God's covenantal love in His relationship with the Isaelites. In the New Testament, we see that true love, forgiveness, and sacrifice in relationships come from the transformative power of God's love through faith in Jesus.
This weekend we continue with the I GET YOU series that we kicked off last weekend. In our second session, together we will talk about how to navigate through the storms of life as a couple. Everyone goes through storms so the principles we will learn this weekend will be valuable to everyone.

But God brought about a comeback and they experienced a turn that changed their lives and furthered God’s purpose and Kingdom work. Sunday starts a new message series called Building Healthy Families. The title of this week's sermon is The Spiritually Intentional Family. Parents, grandparents, and caregivers are going to be reminded of their greatest responsibility: To be a tool in the hands of God to form a human soul. They will also be challenged to pursue one goal as a family: To raise sold-out, passionate followers of Jesus. We will be discovering why a spiritually intentional family is important, how it starts, and what it looks like.
Our current series, Spills & Thrills, has been a great learning experience of how we can manage and navigate our emotions. We will close the series this weekend with a conversation about how to manage the powerful emotion of sadness. We all will go through seasons of sadness, grief and loss and in this message we will look at a Bible character who went through a tough seasons of sadness and grief and discovered hope.

Maundy Thursday, sometimes called “Holy Thursday,” is the Thursday right before Easter. On that night over 2,000 years ago in an upper room in Jerusalem, Jesus established the Lord's Supper for His followers to observe in remembrance of Him. Join us for a special upper room experience as we recapture the story of that evening.
This Sunday is Palm Sunday. Every year we as a faith community take some time to talk about the events of that week. We will look at one of the conversations Jesus had that week. We will talk about the people that got Him and those that didn’t. We will see how lavish love should be expressed, and why it is difficult for some to show it. We will conclude by participating in the Lord’s Supper and remembering what He has done for us. It is always a special time together.

This weekend we continue our series, What Does the Cross Mean, by looking at another aspect of what God was doing when Jesus died on the cross. He was in the process of reconciling us to Himself. We will unwrap this important facet of the cross this weekend, as we talk about two types of reconciliation.

Have you ever been in a place that’s really and truly dark? A place with absolutely zero sources of light? It’s a little unsettling, isn’t it? We lose context. We become disoriented. And if we’re honest, sometimes we get scared. There is another kind of darkness that surrounds us. It’s not the absence of light. It’s the darkness of a world without good. A world without God.
There is darkness. But there is a light, too. And not just any light. It’s a light that is overwhelming, all-consuming, and perfectly pure . . . a light that refuses to be ignored. It’s the light of God’s goodness. And it breaks through in the most amazing ways. There is a light that drives away darkness. A light that drives out fear. A light that runs off despair. A light that shines for justice. A light that is comforting, and clarifying . . . A light that saves.
This weekend we will bring our Trust series to a close. For the past five weeks we have been talking about how we can have confidence in trusting God. Well we made it! The 2023 summer series, TEN, comes to an end this weekend. Let’s finish this series together. You’ve done great in hanging in there for ten weeks. We will look at the tenth commandment and find that is different from all the other commandments. How? Come and see.

Have you ever been frustrated because of a lie? We all have. This weekend we look at the ninth commandment and the ways lying affects our lives. We will talk about where lies started, how God views lying and the remedy for lying. You don’t want to miss this weekend.
This weekend is a special one for our church family. We pause from the TEN series so we can observe the Lord’s Supper. During this special service we will take a close look at Jesus’ trial when He faced the Roman Governor, Pilate. What questions did Pilate asked Jesus? Hurt, violated, devalued, shocked, offended, wounded, angry, all are words that describe the feelings of one who has been robbed. This weekend we continue our series, TEN. We will be looking at the eighth command, “Do not steal.” As we come together we will empathize with those who have been robbed, and we will be encouraged to not become a robber.

Do you know your own weaknesses and are you prepared to withstand the pressure of the temptations? This weekend we continue our summer series, TEN, by looking at the seventh commandment.

How important is His name and how should we use it? This weekend we continue our series, TEN, and we will unwrap the third commandment. Last weekend we kicked off our summer series, TEN. This weekend we will look at the second commandment. We will talk about ways we unintentionally reduce God in our lives. We will also consider the amazing truth that God really wants us to know Him.
Week 1
Today we begin our Summer Series called TEN. This summer we are going to revisit the 10 commandments located in the book of Exodus. We will see how radical these commands were in the context they were originally presented. But we will also see how they reveal to us the practical values that God gives us to live by today.
We started this family series reviewing our calling as parents. We were reminded that as parents our greatest responsibility is to be a tool in the hands of God to form a human soul. It is no mistake that you are your child's mom or dad. Grandparents, your grandchildren were not given to you by mistake. God has chosen you to care for and train your child. God has placed your child in your home so that you can teach them all that He has commanded. Parents, grandparents, are you leading your home by doing whatever you can, whenever you can, to point your family to Jesus?
Family. There is nothing quite like a family. When a family is dysfunctional there is a lot of confusion and frustration. But, when a family functions well, there is probably nothing that brings more joy to life. This weekend we continue our family series by considering Five Traits of a Functional Family. Join us as we learn from the Scriptures how, when these traits are in place, your family can be stronger and healthier.
Happy Mother’s Day weekend!!! This weekend we will honor the ladies of our church. We will also learn about two mother’s in the Bible that you may have missed their story. They were not perfect, but they were extremely passionate about their role as a mother.
As parents we can start to lose sight of our calling and get lost in everything that goes along with being a parent. Whether it's the late nights with a newborn, the never ending energy of a preschooler, the hectic schedule of an elementary-aged child, or the growing independence of a teenager, there is so much that can get in our way of staying focused on our calling as a parent. This morning, we are going to talk about the importance of our calling as parents and be challenged to check the foundation of our families and determine whether or not they have been built on solid ground.
Do you have a spiritual emergency fund? We have talked about a financial emergency fund before, but a spiritual emergency fund may be something you should consider investing in for the future. What does that fund look like? As we close out the series Questions For God, this weekend we will engage in a conversation that will help us develop that all important spiritual emergency fund. This weekend we will visit another Psalm that has a searching question. The Psalmist will coach us through a rough journey. You may find some of the Psalmist thoughts challenging. However, his words are real. Perhaps that is what we need.

Happy Easter Everyone! HE IS RISEN! This weekend is the most exciting time on the Christian calendar. Not because we may get an extra day off or we get to dress up in colorful clothes. It is exciting because Jesus is alive. He who paid the price for our sins on the cross did not stay in the tomb, AND, because He was resurrected, so will all of those who believe in Him. Bring a friend, tune in, and let’s celebrate the Hope of Easter this weekend! HE IS RISEN INDEED!!!

Have you ever been surprised? Or, have you been surprised today? Let’s face it, we all get surprised. Our surprises are no surprise to God. But He has a plan in the surprise. This weekend we will take a look at some of the surprises that happened as a part of the Christmas story. We will unwrap what God is trying to accomplish through surprises. This weekend we begin our new Christmas series called Everlasting Peace… Last weekend we were introduced to the 3/29 plan, writing down three things each day for which we are thankful, for the next 29 days, ending on Christmas Day. We learned this exercise could minimize the worry, complaining, and envy that often takes place this time of year. This weekend, we will learn a little more of how to have a stress-free Christmas. Are you experiencing any anxiety in your life? If you are reading this, you probably have some level of stress and anxiety. We all do. This weekend we will talk about how to overcome anxiety. So, if you are interested in lowering your level of anxiety and worry, this weekend is for you.
Scripture often speaks of becoming wise. So how does one become wise? What does it even mean to become wise? Join us this Sunday as we learn the difference between knowledge and wisdom, the fool and the wise and what it takes to gain wisdom.
This weekend we have the opportunity to make observations of the Last Supper. What was going on in the minds of those sitting around the table? Giving is at the heart of Christianity. In fact, Christianity is all about giving. God GAVE His one and only Son. So, God is the ultimate Giver, and His desire is that we would follow His example. Someone said to me last weekend, “I must admit, taking time to study these Kings (and soon a couple of Queens) has been interesting and fun. Interesting because I see sometimes I am like these kings, and fun because I am learning.” I hope you are having a good experience learning about these Kings as well.
