This trick by far has been the toughest one for me to wrap my head around. I could only turn to one side into reverse and get stuck, but persistence wins haha
Most of the time I would just wing it, trying to comprehend not unwrapping my hands (straitjacket) and somehow avoid the swinging projectiles that really like to whack me in the face or nuts.
But after 4 months, I got it dialed in. This was the first time I was able to capture this moment and share it with my friends. I am proud of how far I have progressed considering I only started this year in February

itβs amazing how technical swinging these glowing socks are. For this video, I learned how to change spinning in a vertical wall/wheel plane into a horizontal / corkscrew plane with 1 simple trick!
As I pass the poi from one wheel plane to the other, when it passes in front of me in wall plane, I do a hand wrap. When they are tight on my hands, I can then lift my arms above my head and change the momentum along with the plane direction!
I really had fun learning this one

I know it's been awhile since I uploaded any music or mixes. Who wants 3 1/2 hrs of free music? I'll keep this description short so I dont distract you hehe.
I shall stay loyal with sharing a monthly music post for you guys and girls. There is always time to mix music and feel good in between the adventures of life. I have also picked up spinning poi this year and it takes dedication to get these new moves right. All I need now is for someone to DJ for me and I can train to become a ninja in the art of object manipulation
The Journey begins with some Downtempo, into Deep Dubstep. Then we slide into the Tech House realm. I got to play alot of new songs I found over the past few months, was fun making this :)

Learned a new move the other day, it's called the Snake.
It consists of one poi in front of you while the other is behind, then cycle through them both! It's the first move I am doing in this video and this move is also opposite direction!
The next moves I have incorporated are the 3 beat & around the sun. I am keeping them on my wall plane as I am not moving around hehehe
Typically when you learn a move on poi, you gotta learn it in 4 different ways with your planes & poi direction-
- both poi clockwise
- both poi counterclockwise
- each poi going opposite direction
- synced timing / split timing
The planes consist of
- wall planes
- wheel planes
- buzzsaw
- horizontal plane

The last time I played this game, it was Overwatch 1 haha. Turns out they replaced the old game with the new one. The new projectile speeds n such will take a bit to get used to.
They dont have medals anymore, all good I like my accuracy.

Every time I go live, I try to incorporate something new or different. Not just for the challenge, but for the satisfaction of multi tasking!
You see the audio is second nature to me. I added the top view webcam just so I can try understand how I mix music myself. But now we are going full circle cuz usually Artists will say 'watch and learn'...
There are 3 types of learning, and I happen to harness 2 of them. Visual & Auditory.
Watching me perform on screen is very quick I learned. My hands are always catchin some vibe on the mixer, so instead try to hear what I am mixing as 2 different songs rather than becoming hypnotized by the magic jazz hands.
Now the track playing flows over the EQ on the proper channels, doesn't help me trying to explain to you guys the art of music tho! Those 2 songs, take the timing counts by 8, 16 & 32's. Between each, imagine you changing the bass slowly, or the high hats. That's one way to try visualize my connundrum!
I like to compliment the music with subtle engaging visuals to catch a drift. If anyone has noticed, I don't frequent headphones when I am just having fun! Being dialed in with headphones or staring at the DJ program becomes redundant for image in general, I tend to level with them mostly so recordings are minty freeeesh!!
It will be cool when I get some sound reactive lighting to map with my new DJ gear coming soon. What's better than colourful but not full tilt? Fractals =)
Still learning to create more scenes to cycle thru on OBS. My laptop currently is beast mode! About 65% CPU & GPU dual monitors while streaming my Friday Episodes. Getting a tower & curved screen before Christmas, it's about time CCONN upgraded and got serious with some quality studio time.
I upgraded channels 1 and 2 to play the waveform over the EQ's. Next I will have a dancer of some kind but then again I shouldn't run my PC into the molten lava sun when it rises.

I had the energy to stream some music finally, other than doing my weekly Friday radio show. So I took the inititive to make a decent recording while on the fly!
I was using my Twitch Account since I already have everything hooked up to work for it & then I realized that you can also livestream on here! Maybe next time I will try that out because I really like this platform.
These tunes you are about to witness are graced with tech house, melodic and bass house. The stream was 3 hrs long so I only recorded 70 minutes, then split the video in half so I can upload it on here.
35 minutes a piece! I am excited to show you guys the vibes created in this masterpiece.

I am finally getting around to looking at some videos I managed to record this summer. There is one that really stands out & shines for me, it is taken Saturday Night around Midnight @ Shambhala Music Festival near Salmo, British Columbia , Canada.
By chance I was able to attend because I bought my ticket in 2019 before covid hit. Shambhala ended up not doing 2020 and they did a small reunion for 2021 but my ticket wasnt valid for that year. So I processed my ticket for 2022! I was also supposed to be working durring the dates it was happening but that fell through. Interesting how one door closes & another opens!
I got to experience this year for free basically! Had a great meet up with my old friends from Calgary and beyond
So this video is a Drum & Bass artist called Phibes, he slaps some good tunes on this wickedly new redesigned Village stage. All with the newest PK sound subs. I believe they had the Trinity bassbins which I have never seen before... stacked 3 high. The bass bins are taller than me haha how epic!

I was able to do a quick preview of my Black Ops Friday takeover on Essential Clubbers Radio Channel 1 - broadcasted around the world from the UK!
This way, it is nice and short. Easy to share! Perhaps it will find itself to new followers ears. I do know some people can't always tune in to experience the lively energetic flow of CCONN. So this is as close as we can get since ECR does not save any of the VOD's or broadcasts they produce on their channels.
I do record the mixes as mp3 usually, but to save an hour long video stream would take up about 10GB. Not to mention you run the risk of crashing your streaming software or PC due to it working 2x harder to record a local set AND stream it on multiple platforms thru the interwebz.
This set was played on Friday the 13th on May 2022. Every Friday I play a show on Essential Clubbers Radio at 9pm Pacific. Island time baby! Perfect set time to kick off the weekend and still have time to make plans afterwards!
Hopefully I can see some of you at the next week show if you can make it. You can interact with all the other listeners thru the chat which I really enjoy doing.
I had a bit of trouble finding the proper conversion from mkv to mp4, so if anyone has some tips I will give youa cookie!
