I also want to acknowledge some amazing artists here, trust me there are a lot of people that I usually admire their tenacity and look forward to their weekly entry. Some of them are: @benriff, @jessicaossom and @esongs. I love what you do and can't wait to see you at the top.
It's really been challenging lately especially having to deal with examination anxiety amidst others but this song has been my succour and has lived rent-free in my subconscious. Thus, I thought about letting it out by sharing it with my fellow music lovers.

It's another amazing week and I'm so thrilled to be sharing and listening to amazing music this week. I won't fail to appreciate @lordbuttetfly, @verbal-d and @silentscreamer, for their effort. It can only get better.
When I saw the prompt for this week, I couldn't resist the notch to be a part of it.
There's no room for arguments or contention because it crystal clear that Disney is the best when it comes to animated movies. DreamWorks are trying lately but I'll still give it to Disney because it has been part of me from my childhood days and I still love to watch animated movies despite being a mom.
I can recall some beautiful melodious rhythms intertwined in the movie to make it exceptional and enjoyable. I would rehearse this songs as though my life depends on it and so for week 18, I'll be singing one of my favorite songs from Barbie collection.

My childhood days are filled with exciting memories especially from cartoons and rhymes taught in my kindergarten classes.
Looking back one out of the many songs live rent free and that from the Lion King Animation.

I love to give people their flowers whether physical or virtually especially while they can see it not when they are no more.
This theme "Root" was wisely chosen by @pandamama and this is so brilliant.
This song dates back to 1939 and was written and recorded by Solomon Linda a South Africa singer under the title "Mbube" which is a zulu word that means "Lion". The song became a git song and was covered by many artist.
All of this makes this song phenomenal in every sense and childhood memories won't be fun without it.

Greetings to everyone, it's yet another amazing week of creating,singing and listening to beautiful voices. I am most grateful to God for the gift of life and also thankful to @verbal-d, @lordbutterfly and @silentscreamer for holding the fort, may God keep increasing you.
I remember that my last entry was done amidst sickness but today I can say that there's a unique improvement and changes in my health and this is purely because Gid hid me under the shadow of his wings. Hence, the reason I chose this song. It is originally sung by Ntokozo Mambo and every single line revives my assurance that nothing is impossible with God. He is indeed our shield, buckler and deliverer, always on time and faithful to his words.
I hope that as you listen to this piece, you'll be stirred up to keep trusting and believing that your safety is under the shadow of his wings. Just like the mother hen covers/protect her chicks so does his angles encamp about us.

I'm so thrilled to be sharing and listening to amazing music this week. I won't fail to appreciate @lordbuttetfly, @verbal-d and @silentscreamer, for their effort. It can only get better.
My health has really been challenging lately and while I lay helpless on my bed this song rings constantly in my mind.
As I regained a little strength today, I decided that I'll be doing a cover of the song "Love lifted me". It's originally done by women of faith and I hope that as much as this song ministers to me, it does the same to you.
It is recorded in the Bible that love is the greatest of all and yes I totally agree with what the holy book says because in a lowest state and when we don't feel like we are okay, God has a way of spreading his arms of love towards us either through the gift of a friend, through his divine word that just drops in our spirit or by just staring at the beautiful work of nature that resonates so much with the personality of God.

It's one of my favourite hymns that is often sung in my church especially during the Easter period. It reminds us of the costly sacrifice of Our Lord on the cross.
It reminds us as Christians to cherish the gift of Jesus and to ensure that the purpose of his death and crucifixion is not swept under the carpet.
It is worthy of note that the cross might be old but its significance is everlasting and eternal.

Gratitude is simply the act of appreciating an act of kindness or benevolence. It is so thoughtful of @ashiru to pick this theme, it shows that you do not take gratitude as a mere word.
For me, gratitude is the posture of your heart especially when extolling God for his mighty work and his unconditional love towards mankind.
I have so many things to be grateful for. Firstly ,I am internally Grateful for life,

Truly, life hasn't been very easy or Rosy lately but I have consistently seen the finger of God. Sometimes I'm perplexed and thrown into confusion of how timely he provides but I know that his ways remain a mystery to us.
I don't know how God does it but I love that he's consistent with doing good. Our words cannot describe him and our vocabularies would fail us if we try to express how great our God is.

I recently attended a traditional marriage in my tribe and I thought it won't be out of place to show you what makes our traditional marriage ceremony outstanding.
The Efik/Ibibio people have a very uniques and outstanding dance groups and this is just one of them. This particular class of Dance is known as Ekombi.
Ekombi is traced to the Calabar ambience and it requires a lot of artistic mastery and body movement. It is usually presented during epoch making occasions.
At the traditional ceremony, a lot of spectators and visitors trooped- in their numbers to witness and grace the occasions and as usual the audience were beautifully entertained.

In our moment of grief , pains and uncertainty he is a perfect friend who will never leave us an inch and will understand us perfectly. The Bible says come unto me all year who are heavy laden and I will give you rest, so why look up to a mere man when our heavenly Father is a perfect Succor.

For this week, I’ll be doing the cover of the Afro-beat version of the song “control” originally sung by "Tenth avenue north."
I have so many reason for chosing this very song but I’ll briefly talk about one. Few months ago, my Mother was very ill and we decided to just sing spirit lifting songs while praying and trusting God for her recovery and one of those times we were singing, my brother raised this song and the harmony was heavenly. My mum enjoyed the song and would always want us to sing it to her every time. I suddenly got so attached to this song perhaps because my Mum loved it and because it allows us give God the totality of our being.
There’s nothing as beautiful as asking God to be incharge of our lives. The Bible admonishes us to “cast all our case and burden unto God” because he cares for us. As such, why should I deprive him from having control over me?
It is so sweet to trust in Jesus and to rest upon his promises because he won’t go back on his words.

African music and rhythm never gets old or boring and I love that there's a community where we can enjoy the African groove and music seamlessly.

I love singing this song because on daily basis I see how God takes care of me and my family at large. It has not been a rollercoaster of event for us lately and being self-sponsored in school, I have seen the finger of God in way I never envisaged.

When I first saw the prompt for this week, I had so many things running through my mine and one outstanding things is that this earth (world) that we are is not our home. We are just strangers passing through it and someday we'll be called up yonder to give an account of the life we've lived. The big question is Are we ready?
No matter how we shy or run away from this the truth remains that everyday brings us closer to either our grace or the day of reckoning.

On seeing what this week prompt was “Value” I immediately remembered one of the songs originally sung by Minister Dunsin Oyekan with the title “At All Cost” this song embodies the essence of life as a Christian and as one living with eternity in view. Come to think of it, what is life without Christ at the center?
As Christians, it is expedient of us to live every second doing the fathers will for it is in him that we move and have our being. Thus, life without Jesus is nothing more than vanity. When the role is called up yonder, we will give an account as to the life we lived and in a world such as this, the only way we can impact our environs is carrying Christ on the inside.
