'speaking to one another with psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit.' Words. They have the ability to speak life or death, after all the Bible does say that the tongue has power over it. Poetry of Dust is not just a podcast but a journey. A commitment to unravelling, to becoming poetry as we push past our human condition. Hosted by Heritage Kristilere, and empowered by the Spirit, who alone gives life, it is an invitation to yielding to the breath of God. The future is here. The time is now. Manifest.
There's an inbuilt pathfinder within every believer. A navigation system that not only tell us where to go, but also equips us to follow.
This is the last P & H for the PODLite miniseason, but this is not the last time that we should pray to be led and sustained by God. A led man is a man of prayer, a man of the word.
It is our desire, that whenever you feel lost or confused, that these prayers remind you that you are never alone, that the Lord is your shepherd, and hence, you will NEVER lack guidance.

In our busy fast paced world, where we amass bugs that slow us down and our feelings become our foes, it becomes imperative that we schedule regular seasons of rest, that we might renew our strength and find the will to keep going.
These next five weeks are going to be transformational.
Please come along with us on this journey.
2 Cor. 3:18 instructs us, that the key to becoming like God is beholding Him. And that becoming is an ongoing process, where we are constantly moving from glory to glory.
Hence, this is an invitation to transformation.
To renewing our hearts and minds as we continue to gaze upon His face, to know Him through His word.
There is nowhere else to go but up.

It's still Music Monday here at POD but today's episode is a little different from our regular programming, something special to mark crossing over halfway into season 1.
We would be doing a 'medium level deep dive' into one of the most beautiful albums ever made.
Of Dirt & Grace by Hillsong United.
What does it mean to be made of dirt but full of grace?
This album was chosen because its themes align perfectly with the themes of our first season.
Let us journey through the land of Spirit and Sound together.

Earlier this week, we discussed the importance of gratitude with aid of spiritual songs (from our Plug & Play) and also with the help of a few special guests and some poetry.
Well, it's time to reiterate this week's message with some Psalms & Hymns.
May these words remind you to count your blessings and to continue to thank God even while you await your miracle.

Thank you, gracias, obrigado, danke, e seun, nagode...
How many times have we said these words and meant it?
How many times have we had the opportunity to thank God but failed to because we were too focused on what we didn't have?
This week, we re-visit (with the help of a few guests) the concept of gratitude and what it really means for us, as God's children, to give thanks...
Men & Women of God, with voices like the sound of many waters.

If we praised God from now until eternity, it still wouldn't be enough. Our incredible God deserves unending praise.
May these hymns remind you of how worthy He is and may it provoke a violent praise from your lips.

Praise upon praise upon praise...
It's pretty easy to heap praises and exalt God when things are rosy. But what is the attitude of our hearts when life is not so soft?
Do we still extol His name from the rooftops or do we let pain steal the praise from our lips?

Psalms & Hymns
These hymns are a charge, like the call of a captain to his dejected and despondent army, to remind them of the strength that lives within. The captain of your salvation, Jesus Christ, is reminding you today, that you shouldn't give up.
The victory is worth the struggle.
Believe me.

They say tough times never last, only tough people do.
But, can someone explain to me why 'tough times don dey last?'
Life seems to be going on a downward spiral, consisting more of bad news than good news and day by day, we experience failure after failure with no light at the end of the tunnel.
How can we find the strength to go on, to hold on, when our bodies no longer want to move? When our spirits fail?

Letting go isn't easy. Like we learnt earlier this week, it can be hard to relinquish control over things that matter to us. It can also be hard to step aside and let God do His work of breaking and healing.
But as the words of these psalms and hymns serve to remind us, we're in safe hands.
We always will be.

Letting go can be hard, especially of situations that we try desperately to control.
How many times have we held on so tightly to something, that in the end we were left feeling bruised and battered?
Why is it so hard for us to cast our cares on someone greater and mightier than we are?
Giving up control, it's easier said than done right?

These psalms and hymns serve to remind you that you are not alone. We all long for satisfaction, we yearn to have our hunger and thirst sated. David knew that only God could satisfy Him, and the writers of these hymns knew it, like they knew their own name, that no one else could fill their heart but Jesus.
I hope these words take root in your heart, and I hope even more, that the Spirit of God Himself fills you until you thirst for nothing else again.

Hunger... it reminds us that we're alive, it also reminds us of our weakness.
One of the commonest sayings is this, "Humans are insatiable."
But what if I told you that we can be satisfied... only if we looked in the right direction…

Psalms & Hymns.
Hymns are powerful for a reason and can even be likened to poetry when stripped of its accompanying melody.
These hymns serve to further reiterate the fact that we are clay, malleable in the Potter's hand. We can only reach our potential when we yield to Him.
I hope they inspire you, to walk with Him, to stay still and let Him have His way, just as they have inspired me.
Selah...

Does the clay say to the potter, ‘What are you making?’
Does your work say, ‘The potter has no hands...' Isa. 45:9
Dust is ordinary, brown and ugly and most times we can get stuck staring at its raw state, forgetting about its limitless potential.
As Pat Barrett once said, we are canvas and clay and God is artist and potter.
We are not broken neither are we undeserving of good things.
We are just... a work in progress.

Consider this your official invitation, to newness and beauty, to a life devoid of stumbling and grasping in the dark while we journey through the sands of time.
We are made from dust yes, but dust has limitless potential.
We are God's handiwork, His masterpieces.
We are God's poetry and nothing can take that way.
