My students rock my brain most of the time. And wisdom is my strongest ally to steady my thoughts…an encounter with a 6th-Grade boy. Truly one for the books!
A 6th-Grader who expresses her emotions through drawings…I pray we intently “see” and listen to every unspoken word of our children.
This is a journal entry in April…about the prayer request of a 3rd Grader. This clearly tells me that the days are evil. Because it has reached the hearts and minds of our innocent little ones. And this is precisely the heart of this podcast. I want every adult listening to go and talk to their kids, their nephews and nieces, their grandchildren…please listen to them, even when they are silent. Do not wait.
Why do I do what I do…as I pray and reflect on what really is the heart of this podcast, I am led to the image of a bridge. This podcast will be a conduit, a channel where kids can “talk” and adults will “listen”. Our world is so fast-paced that we are flooded with things-to-do and deadlines. We barely have time to talk about what is most important. And that is the “HEART OF THE MATTER”. So please walk with me on this journey and pray with me.
