Radio 4 used to produce a show entitled 'Down Your Way'.
The basic premise, being to interview people from all walks of life.
I am setting out to try and replicate this. Inevitably there will be interviewees from the entertainment industry, yet ultimately I want to interview a diverse cross section of folk who interest me and possibly you ?!
No subject will be out of bounds - some episodes may be serious in their nature - hopefully some will also amuse you. Thanks in advance for listening.
Episode 3 is an interview, if that's what you call it .... with my old mate, comedian, actor and star of stage and screen Kevin Bishop.
Kevin has had an illustrious career, starring in his own Channel 4 comedy series 'The Kevin Bishop Show'. Recently he took over the reigns from Ronnie Barker in six episodes of 'Porridge' for the BBC, playing his nephew. Also playing Nigel Farrage in 'Life after Brexit' and Barry Hearn in The Rack Pack amongst many others. Of course who could forget him in 'Muppet Treasure Island' playing Jim Hawkins.
You will probably remember him in 'Star Stories' also for Channel 4.

Welcome to ‘Down Your Way’ - Episode 2 “Hunting Samuel L Jackson down like a dog”. Ok ……. ok, I agree Episode 1 didn’t really count.
Be warned there is some bad language and subject matter that some will find difficult to listen to. Brendan, opens up in a disarmingly honest way – certainly its true to say that he lives up to his word

Amongst many subjects we discuss Tom Cruise and his corn dogs. Sadly I am also described as a pompous wanker ……… oh and there is also some really truly terrible banter ………
