Now in his new endeavor of professional boxing, he prepares to compete yet again in #NobodyCaresWorkHarder fashion. Not only is he hammering the hard work, he is also finding quality time in hunting with bow and arrow. Sit down with MMA veteran and learn more about his passion throughout life!
The age old question between friends was asked recently wether a much smaller, more technical martial arts practitioner would be able to defeat a much larger, yet inexperienced opponent. It's a classic story between David and Goliath, hopefully to be put to rest today. Who do you agree with?
Here is a throwback from December where I had the pleasure of doing this episode in John's home. John Douma is a professional MMA fighter out of Tri-Force MMA in Pawtucket, RI. He recently competed (3/13/21) in a combat JiuJitsu match against Johnny Campbell where he won via rear naked choke. John began his MMA career as an amateur in the MMA organization Cage Titans Fighting Championship, where he eventually won and held two amateur titles. He went on to turn professional in CES MMA and is now training to prepare for a next fight during the COVID-19 pandemic.
