The Sistriarchy Sessions is a women's empowerment podcast where we discuss topics around self-love, social issues, spiritual growth, and personal development. We highlight voices of women (particularly women of color, LGBTQ+ people, and women of all shapes, sizes, and abilities) sharing their story of the barriers they've overcome and the lessons they've learned on their journey. Through our storytelling, we pass on wisdom to others. Our mission is to inspire other women to lean into their power, transform their lives, and love themselves radically.
In this special episode of the Sistriarchy Sessions, I talk about my upcoming book that I co-wrote with 11 incredible women. We share why we were called to immortalize these pivotal chapters of our lives in writing and the challenges we faced while creating such vulnerable pieces of work.
Our book, Dare to Express, will be available on September 16, 2022 through Amazon.com in paperback and e-book format.

In the wake of the Supreme Court decision on Roe v. Wade, I gathered with a group of women to share our thoughts, feelings, and experiences about abortion rights. I also shared actions we can take to support our communities and how we can resist and persist. Give the episode a listen to find out what are ways you can be involved.

ChiChi interviews her first guest on the podcast - her mom! ChiChi’s mom (her name is Trea Yip) is her first role model when it comes to being a strong, empowered woman. Trea has broken down many barriers in her lifetime, proved those who doubted her wrong, and paved the way for those who follow in her footsteps.
Her story is incredibly inspiring - immigrating to the United States from China without knowing anyone or knowing any English. And she built a life for her and her family from there.

ChiChi talks about one of her favorite subjects - society’s ideal beauty standards and the impact it has on women’s mental health. She dissects where these beauty standards come from, how it is portrayed in the media, and perpetuated by social media.
When we realize that there are systems and structures that deliberately uphold these standards and profit off the insecurities it creates, we can choose to love ourselves as an act of rebellion.

ChiChi shares her story about her struggles with body image and food and feeling unworthy. After spending the majority of her life obsessing about her weight, she came to the realization that her worthiness is not tied to a number on a scale.
Her experience is what inspired her to become a Self-Love Empowerment Coach to help women transform their relationship with their body and food so they can love themselves radically.
