Welcome to SouthRidge Fellowship Baptist Church podcast home. Here we will publish the latest messages recorded during our Sunday services, the odd time we may even post a follow-up podcast that may help you dig deeper into the message.
This week we invite Jake Nolan to bring the message to us. Jake has been involved in various capacities of ministry as he grew up in Ladner and currently serves as a police officer.
Jake dives into John 15:1-8 and how God has challenged him to examine his own relationship with God, how he learned to trust Jesus, so that he could abide in Jesus on a daily basis.
This week we invite Sarah Friesen to bring the message to us. Sarah is a graduate of Immerse, has taught at TWU and is passionate about helping people dig deeper into their personal faith.
Today Sarah dives into Hebrews 12:1-2 and challenges us to keep running the race we're called to.
This week we invite Elizabeth Faulkner to bring the message to us. Elizabeth is a former staff member, current board member and works at the Feb Pacific office developing/mentoring leaders.
Today Elizabeth explores some truth bombs found in Colossians 3:1-4.
Today Pastor Brent reminds us that sometimes life doesn't go as planned and when that happens we need a solid foundation of faith to get us through. Sometimes living a faithful live means that we need to 'go off map' and take a risk.
As Pastor Brent prepares to go on a 3 month sabbatical he wanted to leave SouthRidge with a few things to ponder over the summer. Today he reminds that we need to be encouraging one another, working on the daily of discipline of spending time in God's Word and encouraging us to walk the journey with those who are wrestling in their faith.
Pastor Brent talks of the hope that is found in the story of the resurrection of Christ.
Pastor Brent explores 6 observations made on that first Palm Sunday and what we learn from them.
Pastor Wes concludes our study of Philippians and looks at Paul's final exhortations to the Philippian church.
Pastor Brent talks about the generosity of the church and reminds us that generosity is an investment in our eternity, a sign of a growing faith and an outworking of sacrifice.
Pastor Paul is back (remember he's not the same guy who wrote Philippians) reminding us to be content no matter what the situation around us is. He challenges us to start our day by being grateful for what we have.
Ben Kirlik brings us into Philippians 4 and looks at how Paul challenges us to be of the same mind. Ben then reminds us to make it right with each other and work towards unity in the church.
Pastor Brent focuses on joy and what might be stealing it from you and how you can recover it. This message includes his personal, on-going journey through cancer and how it has sucked joy out of his life. It concludes with one of the most powerful moments our church has ever experienced as we took a moment to pause and pray/plead with God for the cancer to finally be eradicated from Brent's body.

Pastor Brent continues diving into Philippians 3 and looks at the warning that Paul gives us to be careful who you pattern your life after.

This week Pastor Brent starts the journey into Philippians 3 and looks at what Paul means when he talks about circumcision of the heart.
Today we invite Elizabeth to the stage as she wraps up Philippians 2. She looks at what Timothy and Epaphroditus were willing to do for the sake of Jesus. Her encouragement is for us to be willing to pour out our lives for Christ as well as for others.
Pastor Brent continues in our journey of Philippians 2. He reminds us that there is a process after we've been saved and that God continues to work in us. He also cautions us about grumbling and the effects that it can have on us.

- Servanthood
- Humility
- Obedience
Pastor Brent continues the Philippians 2 journey and reminds us that each of us struggles with a selfish nature but God has called us to value others above ourselves.
Pastor Wes brings us back to Philippians 2 and reminds us of the foundations of Christian unity and the call to be unified in Christ.
Pastor Brent concludes the 1st chapter of Philippians by cautioning us that no matter what the circumstances are, we are to conduct ourselves in a matter worthy of the gospel of Christ.
Pastor Brent focus' in on Paul's line "For to me, to live is Christ" and challenges us if we can honestly say that for ourselves.
Today Pastor Brent talks about the chains we wear and whether they are binding us or not.
Continuing in our message series on Philippians Pastor Paul digs into how Paul (yeah, we know it's confusing this 2nd Paul is the Paul of Philippians, Pastor Paul... as great as he is, just isn't the same guy as author Paul) prayed that the Philippian church would have a love filled with knowledge & discernment so that their lives would bear fruit for God.
This message is the first in a series as we dive deep into the book of Philippians. Today Pastor Wes starts us off by digging into Paul's desire for the church to come together and be unified in our goal to serve God.
