The Center for Enrollment Leadership, Policy, and Practice at USC's mission is to foster equity and expertise in college access, admission, and outcomes. We believe that access and success in education are the foundations of social mobility, educational equity, and the building of strong nations and societies. In this episode, I have the pleasure of speaking with Laurel Tew, who is currently the Assistant Head of School for Enrollment at Viewpoint School. Laurel is a true leader in the profession- not only at her institution but in her work with professional organizations and with the Leadership in EM certificate program at USC. Laurel has an intriguing background, as she has “hopped the fence” from higher education to working with independent schools. Her robust background and experiences highlight the transferability of leadership skills from one domain to another, and serve as an inspiration for those who are considering exploring another side of EM.
