Kat and Hick head to the market in search of fresh strawberries, Hickory discovers something else....
Kat and Hick head to choir practice for the first time together and are welcomed with open arms, and cake.
With Hickory by her side, Kat learns once again that a even a trip to the grocery store can be an adventure.
What was originally intended to be a casual stroll to the corner store for some milk, resulted in an unexpected detour when Hickory throws a curve ball into Kat's plans.
Niagara’s Kat and dog team face head on a number of the problems that Kat had encountered before she teamed up with Hickory. How different and less stressed the entire encounter seemed. Hickory, completely oblivious to the change her partner was experiencing moved on with eagerness and grace. Whatever came along she was ready for it.
Kat & Hickory venture to church for the first time together. They meet friends, sing hymns and Hickory catches a little shut eye.. Just what she was dreaming of, we'll never know..
On the first day home from the Lions Foundation, Hickory ' loving nature and natural curiosity come together to make their first morning home a memorable one.
Kat was voted to be the class valedictorian for the Lions Foundation. With the schools encouragement and support, a new and freer life Is on the horizon.
For Kat and Hickory's final test at the Lions foundation, they get dropped off at an unknown point in Oakville and must walk back to the school on their own. Their first solo adventure.

Kat spends her 50th birthday at the school with her classmates, trainers and best of all, Hickory....Her best Birthday yet!

In a city full of hazards, Kat feels a mounting realization that she’s experiencing a miracle with Hickory by her side, she is walking for the first time without fear.
Ride on the merry-go-round of emotional ups and downs with Kat as she experiences working with different dog guides before finally receiving her long awaited companion.
Despite her many fears, Kathy takes her first steps towards getting a guide dog and becomes a student at the Lions Foundation in Oakville. She meets her fellow students, trainers and learns the way of reaching her goal to freedom.
