Alex is on a quest to rediscover his life purpose. 2 years after a 23 year relationship came to an end and having stood aside from traditional religion, Alex now seeks the Divine outside of organised religion. Alex's journeys of life really do seek to find the very depth of meaning and liberation for the soul. Add in a sense of humour, the flair of an entrepreneur and and a pinch of bravery..............and welcome to the Daily Pilgrim Podcast and YouTube Channel.
After a year or so of the air, The Daily Pilgrim Podcast is back.
Series begins 1st August 2024

In the last 2 weeks before the children break up from school: Noah has a day off, I throw 2 beef stews away, work really hard, nip off to see Michael Ball in concert...........and deliberate freedom, whilst wondering if I am in a dream

Having returned full swing into the podcast, this week I think about being 'in the moment'. There is also the likening of my home to a garden shed, and reminiscing on what it was like to go campervanning.

The Daily Pilgrim Podcast has now been going for a year, and so much has changed in Alex's life. I take a moment to reveal which keyring I bought (mentioned in a previous episode) and why this next year will be the journey of a lifetime.

Noah and I had a fantastic week doing a bit of the NC500. And I managed to fall over in a bit of oil, that washed up on the north coast of Scotland. The recording of this episode, however, didn't enjoy 100% silence!.........maybe I should have recorded this last week.

Plans change, and physical exhaustion. But we are hanging in there.....even if drenched in oil that washed up on the north most beaches of England.........I mean Scotland

This episode marks the next stage in the Daily Pilgrim Journey. With the boat sold, and the camper under the conversion 'Knife', a new adventure (probably involving a casserole) begins.

In this episode I may do a bit of overshare, but it's all in good humour. It's also the end of an era......but in a good way. More Podcasts and Video are coming, and life is changing.

Apparently there is a thing called a Rhino Virus......well blow me down,...........oh wait, it did. Or certainly knocked me down anyway. In this episode we examine kindness, Greenscreens and the proper way to break down in the snow.

After resetting myself after a minor melt down, a new direction for the channel is born. Also, a bit of mediation.......cruelly cut short with a call to action!

A boating adventure involving nearly losing the electric bike, knocking down someone's washing, getting lost (naturally), thinking Steve was dead and excitedly looking forward to a stealth camp.........with no heating........in late October!

After deciding that a new beginning would be a great idea, I had a widdle on Tony Blair's estate (only from the outside mind you). A week in the camper ahead, and a walk end up with me getting very very lost!

After a week's camping (purely because I couldn't buy any fuel to get home), I managed to finish an online course, do some admin, nearly blind myself and take on the world's largest wasp!

As many of us live our lives in boxes, this week I have bought a bike to shake things up a bit.

After a week slightly off form, I am back.....on a bike. Dealing with the petrol crisis in a very imaginative way!

In this weeks episode, so many things conspired to delay the recording and uploading of this (rather late) offering. So we look back on some highlights, some amusing stories and some funny things that happened.........

This week, Father and Son had a wonderful trip in the camper. Not everything went to plan, but it was certainly proved that sticking with something pays off.

Have you ever wondered whether a Sandwich could travel all around the world under its own steam. I have! Having sprayed my daughter with Vax liquid, used her as a human brush and blessed the world with grass cuttings, I decided that some rest might be in order.

This week I tell of a brave family on the beach, a 'Black Ops' mission to remove a wasps nest, the butt of a joke, and the navigational challenges of a middle aged priest.

A few changes on the horizon, and all for the better. But don't forget, that the grass isn't always greener on the other side!

Whilst attempting, and failing to record from underneath the flight path of an airport, I deliberate why failure is so important to success. Oh, and a boating story too!

The serious part of this episode is all about when you should end a relationship that isn't working. I move into, out, and back into a new cottage. Also, a funny thing happened when I decapitated the boat

This week I am afraid that I do get a little animated and passionate about, what I believe, is a form of abuse. But after putting the world to rights.....I fix the camper (again), get electric shock treatment, and set alight to my lounge (DO NOT try this at home!!!!!!!!!)

In this episode Alex deals with blocked drains, fails to sell the car, has more trouble with the camper and stands with pride and achievement...........in the middle of Exeter Motorway Services.

In this episode wax lyrical about meeting some random strangers who thought I was from the BBC. I recycled some cardboard, bought a sandwich and climbed a hill (without incident).
I also mention Gary's charity run, here is his just giving page...

Having come away for a few days in the camper, this podcast comes to you from a field in North Wales. I couldn't afford the train fare to bring the band with me, so there isn't any intro music. However, once again: A funny thing happened to me on my way here.................
