Hi salveheads,

It’s your old friend—zackcitybish. I’ve got a podcast episode for you today because I have grown cross-eyed from editing my manuscript. Today I ramble about my new (poorly received) haircut, the mundane headlines in Singapore, Meghan Markle, and Lady Di. There’s plenty of reading recs and a little memoir excerpt at the end <3

Xoxo,

Z

Hi friends of Salve,

(Apparently that greeting helps the aLgOriThMs take my newsletter out of the promotions tab, please know that I wanted to say: HI SEWER RATS,)

Welcome to the second instalment of the podcast. Talking to myself for half an hour was religious and euphoric and perhaps even a little bit orgasmic. On the agenda today: some brilliant television, my distaste for cancel culture and woke vigilanteism, reading, home decor, and binge watching recs, and another excerpt from my bewk. All things discussed are linked below.

Ciao 4 now,

Z

Hello masked friends (goodbye unmasked enemies),

Welcome to the first Salve Podcast. I’ve been thinking of ways to evolve my corner of the internet, and this felt like a natural progression because I love to gab and writing is HARD. In this episode I discuss the artists formerly known as The Dixie Chicks, the unending Kimye saga, a reality television series on Indian matchmaking, and the effervescent autobiographies of Maya Angelou.

There’s a brief Dear Salve interlude, where I solve a concerned reader’s social distancing woes, and I round out my sermon by reading an excerpt from the first chapter of (?) MY BOOK (!???!!) I also share my latest skincare purchases.

How exciting! Lmk if you did or did not like the podcast evolution of Salve. You can reply to this email or slide into my DM’s on Instagram.

I’ve linked all the recommendations below.

See you next week,

Z
