Nina is the co-founder and CEO of MiProbes Biotechnologies. MiProbes is a German startup that's building hardware-free, next-generation diagnostics, to empower users to make data-driven decisions about themselves. MiProbes has won the Global Health & Pharma Breakthrough Innovation Excellence Award and was a finalist for the Royal Society of Chemistry Emerging Technologies competition.
In this episode, Nina tells us about her amazing journey from academic research to entrepreneurship- from drug discovery and synthesis to creating bacteria-based biosensors for diagnostics.

Our guest today is Chandrima Majumdar. Chandrima is postdoctoral researcher in structural biology at University of California, Berkeley working on ribosome engineering. Chandrima has a PhD from the University of California Davis where she studied the underlying mechanisms behind DNA repair.
In today's episode, Chandrima tells us about her incredible work on understanding how enzymes identify DNA mutations was published in the Journal of American Chemical Society!

Our guest today is Juni Singh, an economist who specializes in behavioural economics, networks and developmental economics.
Juni has had a rich and international scientific career: She holds a PhD from the Paris School of Economics; she was a researcher at MIT J-PAL and she is an incoming postdoc at CalTech. Besides academic research, Juni has also been a Researcher and Consultant at the World Bank where she worked on framing policy for global challenges.
In this conversation, Juni breaks down lab-on-the-field experiments in behavioural and network economics. She explains their long-term impact in understanding technology adoption, peer monitoring and long-term policymaking. She also shares how economics research is evolving to meet the challenges of the future – particularly those especially raised during the pandemic.
