We are in a new age of publishing where the author has more creative control over how their book goes to market. Many have turned to self-publishing to break past the gatekeepers within traditional publishing. With as many as 50,000 new books being added to Amazon each month, and over 90,000 books about self-publishing on Amazon, we have learned two things: 1) The competition for selling books is only getting fiercer and most self-published books lack the polish and craft of traditionally published books.2) If you need a guidebook to step you through the process, you're not at the top of your publishing game. How should a new author get published? Does #Booktok really help to sell books?
