So many people told me that one day they would be reading about my exodus. Fortunately in this era (AD), I can record and share my testimony as it unfolds, so here goes. I’m Renna from Kingston, Jamaica. I aim to showcase a side of me that has been suppressed and dormant for years. My confidence in myself and people is returning and the urge to commune with others has been reignited. I am a Child of God, an entrepreneur with a 9-5 and a student, daughter, sister and friend. Self Care, Love and Development is my focus now in my 20’s and sharing all that I’ve learned with you is my purpose.
Only after listening to this episode over and over, I realized how secretive I was about my life. Here I'm sitting down with one of my oldest friends, Zhara-Marie Henry and after 10yrs this is her first real insight on my childhood. This episode was super hard for me, not so much to record but to release. I'm really putting this out there, wow.
She calls what I went through as "theeing tears", as I explained from my faded recollections. I'm grateful for the growth that I have encountered, moving pass the abuse, the neglect, the abandonment. This is my therapy, I am healing. I am grateful.
