Gender neutral law is a need of the hour and needs to be implemented in every walk of life. Let's take a look at this pink elephant in the room.
Allowing women to take leave on the reason of menstruation, not only help her to come up in the society but also will help to grow in all walks of life. The employer has to provide these benefits and it's a choice left to the employee to avail it. So what's the harm in it. ? Art. 15(3) leaving that the state can make laws for the welfare of women. So it constitutionally valid to have such a bill. Countries like Japan, South-Koreya, Indonesia, & Taiwan have passed menstrual leave policy. So why can't India too have? Bihar being one of the most patriarchal state has already have such a legislation. Many corporate like Nike, zombie etc provides menstrual leave policy to their female employees.
