It’s junior year and I’m studying abroad in the land of olives, feta, marble ruins, and cats. And I love it so much! I’m at a school called College Year in Athens that’s right next to the Acropolis. There are soooo many updates that I just rambled right along for 40 minutes, and STILL forgot plenty of stories like kitchen shenanigans and GREEK ZUMBA. AKA the love of my life. Being a student feels so busy, though I love college life IMMENSELY. I really try my best to balance how I spend my time, and recently I realized that time for myself was being put on the back burner. These are just some of the ways that I’ve been attempting to create ways to prioritize myself within a schedule that seems to never slow down. The second semester of my first year at college and, my first semester of sophomore year in particular, presented plenty of challenges, but I’m so thankful for a 2022 that was filled with insight, amazing friendships, and lots of growth. I realized a lot about myself and prioritized things that were important to me, which came along with some accomplishments that I’m really proud of. In this episode I talk about advocacy and how it fits into my everyday life. It was something that I hadn’t focused much on before, but really discovered in college how much I value it. I talk about working as an advocate intern at a women’s shelter this summer and learning how to advocate for my own needs as well.

There hasn’t been an update in a long while, and college so far has been soooo busy. However, I’m loving it here and doing great overall :) Today I just needed to breatheeee- something I haven’t been giving myself time for lately. I also didn’t mention that I went on the FYRE retreat last weekend and I absolutely loved it. It was a great time for reflection, I met some super sweet people, and the rickety, wooden water slide was awesome
