Brian, Ken, Tara and Molly were visiting Holycross National School Firoda today.
We spoke to the student council committee, Rachel worked hard to make the school safe and fun, Niamh organized quizzes and music for everyone on Fridays, Eilís and Lily wanted to make the yard safer for younger children and Muireann is in 6th class and hasn't missed a day in 8 years !

In the active committee group we were talking to Max, who loves collecting jerseys with his dad, Harry stays active by dancing ! Fionn organizes the PE equipment, Holly plays camogie with the school and Eddie discussed how he stays active.

In the junior group we spoke to Oisín, his favourite subject is maths. Kyle loves maths, art and seeing his friends everyday. Anna spoke about the school getting their first active flag. Ellen stays active by milking cows with her parents and two brothers on their farm. Ian is looking forward to playing with Lego over the summer and Lexi loves playing camogie and is excited to go on holidays to Spain.

Our third group, Emily, Gloria, Wendy, Abbie, and Anna, a mix of third and fourth class talked to us about their student life. We hear about the Student's Council, their school tours and school garden. They also chatted about the Jumble Sale and International Day! We cheer Abbie as her team won at their school soccer competition.

Our second group, Emma, Lauren, Judith, Mila, and Dora, first and second class students, chatted to us about women in sport and the importance of being healthy and active. They also find out what the teachers eat in the staff room.

We were greeted by a lovely banners and cheers by the girls.
Brian spoke with Principal Mrs. Fitzpatrick to chat about the school's activities, events, and of course, the students. #
Our first group, Alayah, Kadie, Samira, Thanvi, and Kora, a mix of junior and senior infants chatted to us about Music Generation, World Book Day, and Teddy Bear's Picnic. Brian also got some Irish dancing lessons by the girls.

The KCLR Packed Lunch Tour Team is out and about at Johnswell National School. Sarah, Ollie, Stephen, Jack, and Caroline joined us. We hear about their preparations for their upcoming Christmas school play. Jack is in 2nd grade and he wants a dickie bow for his communion outfit. Caroline also shows us her math skills.
The KCLR Packed Lunch Tour visited Johnswell National School. We are joined by Chloe, Luca, Anna, and Shane. They told us about gymnastics, and farming. The Johnswell National School also has a green flag an the kids told us about how they got it and the importance of biodiversity. It's also Luca and Shane's birthday!

Brian and the Packed Lunch School Tour Team visited Scoil Naisiunta Naomh Padraig in Ballyhale. The 6th-class students talked about their plans for secondary school. They also shared their favourite memory during their time in primary school.

We also recalled their memory of watching Ballyhale win the county final. We hear about their hobbies, their favourite subjects and their favourite thing they do in school.
