Pastor Michael McBride (known as “Pastor Mike”) is a native of San Francisco and has been active in ministry for over 20 years. In March 2012, he became the Director for the LIVE FREE Campaign with Faith in Action, a campaign led by hundreds of faith congregations throughout the United States committed to addressing gun violence and mass incarceration of young people of color. He is one of the national leaders in the movement to implement public health and community centered gun violence prevention programs, which have contributed in 50% reductions of gun related homicides in Oakland and many other cities across the country. He is a co-founder of Black Church PAC and the National Black Brown Gun Violence Prevention Consortium which work to center black and brown gun violence prevention practitioners and scale up life-saving interventions related to urban and communal violence.
Regarded as a national faith leader, active in the Ferguson uprisings and many subsequent uprisings, he helps bridge, train and support millennials and religious institutions working on racial justice and black liberation. Pastor McBride has served on a number of local and national task forces with the White House and Department of Justice regarding gun violence prevention, boys and men of color and police-community relationships. In 2016 he was appointed as an Advisor on President Obama’s Faith Based Advisory Council for Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships. He has been a frequent contributor to the New York Times, the Washington Post, MSNBC, CNN, the Huffington Post and many other media outlets providing commentary on issues related to faith and racial justice.

Ray McGovern is a former CIA officer turned political activist.
McGovern was a CIA analyst from 1963 to 1990, and in the 1980s chaired National Intelligence Estimates and prepared the President's Daily Brief. He received the Intelligence Commendation Medal at his retirement, returning it in 2006 to protest the CIA's involvement in torture.
In 2003, together with other former CIA employees, McGovern founded the Veteran Intelligence Professionals for Sanity (VIPS). The organization is dedicated to analyzing and criticizing the use of intelligence, at first concerning the Iraq War. In the same year, McGovern confronted Donald Rumsfeld openly and live-broadcast by CNN interrogating him about his lies concerning weapons of mass destruction, a dispute later called the "vivisection of Donald Rumsfeld" by Keith Olbermann.
McGovern's post-retirement work includes commenting for Consortium News, RT, and Sputnik News, among other outlets, on intelligence and foreign policy issues.

Paul R. Ehrlich is an American biologist known for his warnings about the consequences of population growth and limited resources. He is the Bing Professor Emeritus of Population Studies of the Department of Biology of Stanford University, the President of Stanford's Center for Conservation Biology, and the President of the Millennium Alliance for Humanity and the Biosphere.
Ehrlich became well known for his 1968 book The Population Bomb, which warned of the perils of overpopulation: mass starvation, societal upheaval, and environmental deterioration. At the time, the book was criticized for painting an overly dark picture of the future. Ehrlich has acknowledged that some of what he predicted has not occurred, but maintains that his predictions about disease and climate change were essentially correct and that human overpopulation is a major problem.
The global population has more than DOUBLED since Ehrlich published his book in 1968. As climate change becomes an increasingly more serious threat, should we make efforts to curb the growth of our global population? Or is distribution of resources the real issue at hand?

Angelo Castillo is a Cuban born American raised in New York City who has served as an executive in the Koch, Dinkins, Giuliani, Cuomo, and Pataki administrations in New York.
He was named director of US HUD’s Florida State Office of Community Planning and Development in 1996, and Director of Human Services for Broward County in 1998, where he was responsible for a $250 million budget with 1,200 staff. He returned to US HUD as Deputy State Coordinator for Florida in 2000. From 2003 until joining Sheriff Israel’s command staff in 2013, he served as President and CEO of non-profit corporation. He also served as an adjunct professor at St. Thomas University’s Graduate School of Management.
In 2004, Angelo Castillo was elected to the Pembroke Pines City Commission, becoming the first Hispanic American elected to serve on the City Commission in 30 years. He has since served as Vice Mayor of four times. Commissioner Castillo has served as a member of the Broward County Charter Review Commission, is a former Chair and current member of the Broward County Planning Council, the Broward MPO, and the Broward County Tourist Development Council. Other board experience includes board member emeritus Hispanic Unity of Florida, Broward County Juvenile Justice Board, Broward County Health Facilities Authority, Family Central, and Women in Distress boards of directors.
Angelo is a self-described moderate who believes that “government works for us, not the other way around.”

The IAFF was formed in 1918 and is affiliated with the AFL-CIO in the United States and the Canadian Labour Congress in Canada. Mayor Levine Cava came to elected office after having served as an advocate for South Florida families for over 30 years. She served special needs children and immigrants at Legal Services of Greater Miami, and then represented children in the child welfare system as Associate and Legal Director for the Guardian Ad Litem Program. She's founded Catalyst Miami in 1996, an organization that helps low- and middle-income families through service, education, and advocacy.
