Hosts Aaron Spjut and Ben Hicks (with occasional guests Nick Goldie and Chase Gibson) discuss and debate all things basketball, and a lot of things non-basketball. Stop by to hear team, player, and game analyses and breakdowns, Top 10 lists and rankings, as well as numerous other NBA previews, opinions, and debates. Each episode is typically five to twenty minutes in length. Thanks for listening.

Well, maybe we're back. We'll see. Now how many people got that title reference? Shoutout to Kenny. Anyways, we've been really busy but we're back with another episode, and you can probably tell that I was a little out of sorts but we made it through, rambling about who knows what. This episode was recorded in between two 45-minute discussions that will never be documented but were quite enriching so hopefully there were some residual bright spots in this episode. We're just trying to get to be more casual and not force ourselves to talk about stuff. And hey, nobody's really listening anyways. Or reading this. If you are please let me know because I will be impressed. Or if you listened until the end of the episode and then read this. Then I will also be impressed. Thank you.
Apologies for the off-beat metronome that occurs throughout the episode. It's Ben's fault.
Thanks to Chase Gibson for doing this with me-listen or watch his podcast on the Pregame Press YouTube channel!
We apologize for Chase's audio occasionally sounding like he was getting shocked by lightning and then ran over by a vacuum cleaner-simultaneously.
The inside scoop on all Tiger Hoops information, this was one of the most fun episodes to record.
The Bulls may have improved more than any team this year, so we dedicated and entire episode to our thoughts on their future.
Free agency is pretty much over, so I'm back with Ben all this week to cover the biggest deals.

The off-season has begun, and with that we have a new season! We start out hot by discussing the first big trade so far between Memphis and New Orleans.
Finally! 150 episodes, and we're here to cap off a great NBA season talking about the NBA finals.
Sorry this got posted a little late, hopefully it's still entertaining to listen to what we got right and wrong even now that the draft is over. Also, I'll be honest, I (Aaron) don't follow college basketball nearly as closely as Ben, so most everything I say is filler and should be taken with a grain of salt. Thanks for listening.
The first trade of the off-season actually happened during the playoffs, and Ben and I give our full thoughts and reactions to both sides of the deal.
Ben is back, and we're here again to discuss our not-so-immediate thoughts on how the ping-pong balls ended up.
It's episode 139, and I'm here again with Chase Gibson from the Pregame Press podcast to talk about the NBA conference finals so far. Stick around to here our finals predictions, and who we think will win Hawks vs. Bucks.
We're back! With me today I have Chase Gibson from Pregame Press (his podcast is linked below). Apologies for the static and rough quality-we had some technical difficulties, but hopefully they're fixed soon. (Also Ben please come back because I cannot seem to figure out how to start or finish the show at all.) We hope you enjoy our playoff recaps, we're going to keep going through the offseason as well! Thanks for listening.

We start with some college news as "Coach K" of Duke has decided to step down after decades of dominance. There has also been 4 NBA coaching firings since we last recorded: Boston, Portland, Orlando, and Indy. Ben and I cover the specifics in why these teams fired their coaches and the future of their organizations.
Apologies for the bad quality in the first half. It should be fine by the end of the video, I think I fixed it. The rest of the episodes this week should be fine as well. Thanks for listening.
Ben and I break down all 4 matchups in the eastern conference, as well as recapping the NBA Play-In tournament and finalizing our thoughts on the MI and 6MOY awards.
The regular season is over! And Ben isn't here to celebrate it-I'm here with Nick to talk about the specific matchups that are now set.
With recent people such as LeBron James, Luka Doncic, and Mark Cuban stating that they are against the Play-In, Nick and Aaron discuss the pros of the new addition to the playoffs.
The first episode this week featuring Nick, we focus today on the top teams in each conference, and then finish up with talking about Russell Westbrook's incredible run and the recent Pacers coaching news.
So, like I say in the recording, the next couple weeks are just going to be more fun stuff/tier lists-and even past then we're probably going to post one of these once a week or so. We've already done 3 tier lists already, and they were episodes we really had fun recording. This isn't anything serious, we're definitely still gonna focus on the NBA, but I thought I'd just put this out there. So thanks for listening, and we'll see you tommorow.
(Actually, Monday)
PLEASE LISTEN TO THIS EPISODE, I THINK IT'S REALLY GOOD AND A LOT BETTER THAN MOST OF OUR NBA ONES. As we mentioned at the end, the next 2 weeks will be purely devoted to Teir List Episodes-we're getting tired of the NBA and these are really fun. If you're not completely sure what a tier list is, look it up. Thanks.
Note: Ft. Jack
Note 2: If anyone else out there says BAG-el instead of BEG-el please let me know.
Note 3: If anyone else out there eats cereal without the melk please let me know.
Note 4: Yes I said melk
Ok, so the episode starts out with my heavily breathing voice telling you how the file got messed up-it did, so this is what you're getting. There a couple good moments hearing Ben talk about internet, but honestly just wait to tomorrow for a great episode.
Actually a great episode discussing some of the bigger storylines and major occurrences around the Association.
One of my favorite college basketball episodes to talk over what has been an incredible and memorable college basketball season.
Did you know that if you look at the Bulls logo upside down it looks like an alien reading a book
We've decided we kinda want to branch out and start doing some other stuff while the NBA is at a bit of a mid-season standstill. We'll still try to bring you mostly basketball episodes, but we're also gonna start posting some more fun episodes. Thanks for listening
Ben and Aaron cover their insights and takeaways from the first weekend of The Big Dance
Not as eventful as expected, actually kinda boring. We may try to start focusing on some non-NBA topics coming up soon as the league is at a bit of a standstill.
Probably not our best choice of a milestone episode, but thanks for listening to all 99 previously.
The March Madness bracket was released last night, so I went back and created a bonus double episode with our Big 10 and ACC conference previews. Listen to hear all the things we got wrong, me making stuff up, and an occasional right take or two. Thanks for listening.
Please don't listen to this it was a filler episode. We look at the current standings (i.e. Bucks are 3rd right now) and decide whether we think each team will finish higher or lower than their current position.
I assume you still need to finish listening to Monday's episode, so listen to all 37 minutes of that before yet another redraft.
Probably our longest episode yet, we talk the past week in the NBA, our thought on the All-Star events, and then end with a Utah Jazz/Rudy Gobert debate with former producer y amigo Nicholas.
So usually before we start recording we talk for a while-today Ben started singing and I decided I would make a cut of everything that happened at the start of the episode. Sooooo you get some Frank Sinatra and some Taco Tuesday. I might try to record our pre-episode chatter some more in the future because this was quite entertaining. Thanks for listening.
The All-Star teams have been completely announced; we cover our thoughts and they predict how the draft will go down.
We kept messing the episode numbers up. Enjoy this episode-we recorded it pretty late so things got a little crazy at some points.
This is an episode we'll probably update throughout the season, but this is where Ben and I stand currently.
Yet another redraft. I'm not sure if we're going to keep going back to some of the much older redrafts after 2003 or so, I'll have to ask Ben about that. We're also still working on getting the mic volumes right, and I'm not including the intro for now. Thanks for listening.
If you're a new listener of the podcast, (we've gotten about 6 or 7 recently), I suggest listening to this episode, tomorrow's All-Star episode, and our 6th man rankings that will be coming out on Friday and Saturday of this week. They're a good representation of the style of our episodes and will keep you updated on the main happenings around the league. Thanks for listening.
Ben has been historically bad at guessing NBA players' heights, so we decided to make a game out of it.

Aaron and Ben are back with a complete power ranking of all 30 teams. Well, not actually because this episode is only teams 16-30. But we did make an entire list-Pt. 2 is coming out tomorrow.
Ben and Aaron project their All-NBA teams based on Month 1 of NBA action. Jeremi Grant, Christian Wood, Devin Booker, Anthony Davis, Donovan Mitchell, and many more top-teir players are all featured in this episode.

Ben leads this week's recap. (Sorry if you saw this earlier, the audio was messed up and we had to re-upload.)
Ben and Aaron are here the day after this blockbuster trade. James Harden, a top 5 (-8ish) player in the league was just traded to the Nets to pair up with Kevin Durant (also top 5) and Kyrie Irving (top 20 at least but has off-court issues).

Just because we know you love ranking episodes, Hicks and Spjut return with yet another random ranking episode. Top 10 3-Point shooters is the episode for today. See you tomorrow.
Hicks and Spjut (no Goldie) return for the second segment of this ranking. We’re surprisingly not as seemingly clueless as ever with less awful takes than normal. Probably cause Nick was gone. Ben has the Rockets as a bottom 5 team, and I don't even get that mad. Enjoy
Note: Sorry if the epsiode started off weird, we're trying out a new format for recording the podcast remotely. Thanks for listening.
With not too much news happening, and having run out of nearly all of the possible debate lists, Aaron came up with a list of all of the most debatable players from the podcast's history. Duncan Robinson, Kris Nunn, and Juiceif Nurkic are among the debates today.
Ok-we didn't actually talk about any of those players but if anyone is actually reading this description please let me know and I will be thoroughly impressed.
Usually one of the craziest segments of the show is back again this week with not quite as many terrible takes. Spjut and Hicks work together to rank one of the most top-heavy draft classes in recent memory, 2015.
Incredibly, the NBA preseason started this week after the shortest down-time in any of the major American sports. Hicks and Spjut lead the discussion on the Opening and Christmas Day games, along with talk about James Harden and his questionable actions. Giannis resigned his contract yesterday, so they open with that as well.
The final position ranking is here, and the whole group is ready to get heated. Hicks, Spjut, Goldie, Sauer, and Proano-Raps find little agreement in this intense episode full of debates.
Hicks, Spjut, Sauer, Goldie, and Proano-Raps are all here to scream at each other over every take. How good are the Nuggets? The Mavericks? The Clippers? Everyone has their own opinion to argue.
Hicks and Spjut discuss the ideal redraft for the 2016 draft class. Alex chimes in with his completely original thoughts and rankings.
Hicks and Spjut are joined with APR to discuss what’s happened so far in College Basketball. This is the first of a long series to come each week for the NCAA basketball season.
Hicks, Spjut, Goldie, and Jack discuss the rare star-for-star trade that happened this week. Topics include which team one the trade, the future of the Rockets, and other deals that have happened since we last recorded.
Hicks and Spjut continue the intense debate series of listing the Top 10 players at each position in the NBA. This week is power forwards, the first frontcourt position to be ranked.
Yet another redraft. This time Aaron is somewhat unprepared and forgets to include the undrafted players. Ben also forgets a player or two. Enjoy!

Hicks and Spjut continue the intense debate series of listing the Top 10 players at each position in the NBA. This week is small forwards, considered by many to be the most important position on the floor.
After previewing the Eastern Conference last week, Hicks and Spjut move out west with Goldie to discuss the loaded Western Conference where 15 teams will battle for what amounts to only 8 playoff bids.
Hicks and Spjut continue redrafting past NBA Drafts with the second installment of NBA Redrafts, this time with 2018. Nick Goldie joins them again this week.
Hicks, Spjut, and Goldie are back again to discuss the remainder of the trades that have occurred up until this point.

Hours after the trade is finalized, Hicks and Spjut are on the air to discuss the breaking news that Chris Paul was traded from the Oklahoma City Thunder to the Phoenix Suns, they also weigh the possibilities that Russell Westbrook or James Harden get traded. Potential trades, best team fits, and heated debates on how good Westbrook really is and what he is worth as a player make up today’s episode.
