Life happens and we find ourselves distracted, disappointed, disgusted, disinterested, disgusted, discouraged, and so many more emotional responses. The word of God is full of information and inspiration to lift us when we are experiencing any type of despair. This episode is inspired by the 27th Psalm. I was up late thinking (as always) and decided to share a word of hope to be of encouragement to anyone who cares to listen. Be encouraged by the New King James Version of Psalm 27 and a special, heart lifting version from Nora’s notes.

We all face trouble! You cannot avoid it. Trouble walks in on us and sometimes we walk into trouble.  It’s like a class in school; you have to take it to graduate. Well, I was inspired to share in my notes that there are valuable lessons to learn from trouble.  Trouble is a teacher in a continuous learning process called life. It will challenge and mature you in ways that will help you become wiser, disciplined, and resilient. That’s what school does. Have you heard or seen the quote: “It’s okay to not be okay”? It is a popular saying that is used to encourage people when they are experiencing emotional distress or difficulties. Sometimes we are not okay and sure that is okay, but it is not good to not be okay everyday. This saying stirred up a lot of thoughts and I wanted to share a different perspective. People are hurting and it is my prayer that help, hope, and healing will come their way through strategic steps and strategies that shift the mind and heart from hurting to healing. The process requires awareness and acknowledge that hurt or emotional distress is present, but to be “okay with not being okay” everyday is not a long term method that is conducive to your wellness. I’m running on about it. I hope you are encouraged.

Sometimes I have run on thoughts about things or themes that I hear and observe as I engage in life. Lately I’ve been hearing random people express that they are are being tempted and tested. Some have even said that they feel that God is testing them. We may experience a test of faith at times, but tempting… not something God would do. This is a voice recording I made on Friday after reading James 1:12-16. Let’s get some biblical truths about this tempting thing. Listen and take note: This is the gospel truth…  God does not tempt us!
