The Not The Brightest Sports Podcast is a place where I discuss sports topics, issues, and try to have some fun along the way. I have always loved sports and I've loved talking about them with people. Some episodes will be by myself, where I do a personal deep dive into a specific topic, and some will feature guests that can provide valuable insight and conversation about a wide variety of topics in the sports world. Hello all! It's been a while! Hope everyone is having a good start to the new year! In this episode, we talk about the mighty Bayern Munich of German Football (soccer). As a Bayern Munich fan, I want them to win. However, for the health of Germany's top football league, the Bundesliga, I want them to lose. This episode will hopefully help me get back into podcasting more regularly. Hey! It's been quite some time. So for today's episode, I wanted to take a concept in the world of soccer and see how it could benefit some American sports. What is that concept? Loaning players. Sounds odd, but perhaps it's a better idea than you think.
This was mostly just a thought experiment, and I don't believe that sports in America can (and should) implement promotion and relegation systems. However, promotion and relegation would be an answer to a problem many sports fans have: how do we stop teams from tanking?
This started out more structured and then devolved into a rant about what Green Bay can do to handle this situation.
This is a podcast you'll probably enjoy if you're a soccer fan. If not, I advise you maybe listen to another one of my podcasts instead because this is a very soccer-specific issue.
