Alec Doomadgee
Alec Doomadgee is an Aboriginal activist, radio & TV personality, documentary film maker & actor. He has forged an impressive media career over the past 25 years in Australia and has lead huge protests against Police Brutality after the death in custody of his cousin Cameron (Murinji) Doomadgee on Palm Island. Alec has also been on the frontline fighting big mining companies for years in the Queensland Outback, Alec along with Elders & Lore people lead the 2002 "sit in" protest on the Century Zinc Mine site to fight for the safe return of Sacred artefacts.
Alec is a force of nature.
Chaslyn Diamond is the eldest daughter of Mum Eunice.....she is the big sister of Adele Sandy that lost her life on the 30th of May 2020 due to systemic and institutional RACISM in Aboriginal Community Hospitals. Now Mum Eunice's life is in danger and she is currently under going life saving surgery to save her!! After 10 months of being ignored, dismissed and made to feel like an inconvenience by the professional health workers at the Doomadgee hospital she finally got flown out last night (Wednesday 11th Jan 2022) by the Royal Flying Doctors air service. Helen (Guyupul) and Rose (Dhamarranji) are 2 very strong Aboriginal women from the Yolngu tribe on Elcho Island NT, they practice traditional bush medicine, bush fruits and bush trucker to help them live a healthy lifestyle. In the past 2 years their world has come crashing down around them, once again due to the intrusion of white mans oppressive laws and mandates around the COVID vaccination roll out into Aboriginal communities......their livelihood is under attack and they are struggle to make sense of all the propaganda. On the 26th October 2021 the Northern Land Council held a meeting in Doomadgee QLD to distribute royalty funds from mining company Rio Tinto to mine Uranium on the Waanyi Garawa Land Trust. One family was excluded from participating in the meeting due to their opposition to URANIUM Mining of SACRED SITES!! Hear Garrick George speak his TRUTH about the treatment of his family.

On the 26th October 2021 the Northern Land Council (NLC) held a meeting Doomadgee QLD to distribute "royalty funds" paid from a yet to be determined source to people connected to the Waanyi Garwa Land Trust in the Northern Territory.....My mother Noreen George and her big sister Estelle George have lived on the Waanyi Garawa Land Trust for over 40 years, but they were excluded along with their children from all proceedings due to their opposition to URANIUM Mining of 'Sacred Sites and any URANIUM mining on the Waanyi Garawa Land Trust!

Mum Eunice is an Aboriginal Woman from the Doomadgee Mission in far North QLD that was taken away from her parents at 4 years of age....She became part of the "Stolen Generation" and was adopted out to white people in Melbourne VIC at the age of 8 years old, where she lived util 16yrs. Wopila Bad Hand is from the Lakota people on the Rosebud Rez South Dakota USA. He is a "Holy Man" amongst his people and leads the sacred tribal Sundance each summer on the Rez to help heal the people. Wopila also travels the world sharing his culture and knowledge to educate people on the Lakota struggle, he comes to Australia every year to attend a special festival held on the lands of the Gangalidda & Waanyi Tribes in the Gulf Of Carpenteria.

This is a special episode with my 3 nieces to honour the memory of their mother....their Mummy Adele Sandy died on the 30th May 2020 due to neglect, ignorance and systemic racism in the health system. As the 1 year anniversary of her death passes us by, we honour Adele and remember the graceful Black woman she was and we embrace the strength and resilience of her amazing 3 daughters Timesha, Elisha and Simona.
