Benoit Founder & Researcher (Cryptozoologist) As a child growing up exploring the outdoors and hunting with his father, Daniel became quite familiar with wildlife at an early age. He heard stories of bigfoot but it wasn’t until he saw the Roger Patterson and Bob Gimlin film in 2010 that a fire of curiosity sparked within him. It was then he decided he would take what he knew about the outdoors and start his own research into the elusive creature.
Around that time, the subject of Bigfoot was becoming slightly less taboo and more open for discussion. And thanks to social media, bigfoot communities started developing. It was there that Daniel soon began researching reported sightings and commonalities between them; tree structures and their possible meanings; different theories as to what bigfoot is; and footprints versus known wildlife tracks. He also began studying great apes and the similarities they share with bigfoot such as long howls, whoops, tree knocks and tree-structure formations, as well as the comparisons to the various characteristics and Behaviors.
He went into the woods with heightened awareness and an open mind and it wasn’t long before he discovered large, bipedal humanoid tracks. At that very moment, what started as a fire of curiosity turned into a passion and the East Coast Bigfoot Researchers Organization (E.C.B.R.O.) was born.
Since then, Daniel has conducted fieldwork in several deep remote locations all along the east coast. And on one of those investigations in his home state of Virginia, he would have his first sighting: a family of Bigfoots. But Daniel states that he was a “knower” of bigfoots existence prior to even seeing them based on all the other data that has been collected.
Daniel has spoken at several events along the east coast and has been featured in the Bigfoot documentary, “Elusive Legend – An E.C.B.R.O. Story”. Shock Theater (Dr. Creep) In 1971, WKEF management began looking for a gimmick to garner ratings on Saturday nights. When Hobart suggested a late-night horror movie show, station management accepted the idea; encouraged by colleagues, Hobart himself auditioned for the hosting job by donning a monk's robe, fangs and skull-like make-up, initially calling himself "Dr. Death". After Hobart was given the job the fangs were abandoned and the skull face motif toned down for being too fearsome, and the character's name was changed to "Dr. Creep".
Shock Theater premiered on Saturday, January 1, 1972 and was a fixture on WKEF for thirteen years. The title was also spelled Shock Theatre and by 1977 that spelling remained. During that time, Dr. Creep co-hosted Clubhouse 22, a popular weekday afternoon kids show, adding to his local star power.
1972 TV Guide ad for Shock Theater(Dr. Creep) (note fangs and skull-face) Like many other late-night horror shows, Shock Theater/Shock Theatre played classic "B" horror films, with bumpers and breaks featuring the host, leaning more toward the humorous than the horrific.
By the mid 1970s, Shock Theater/Shock Theatre had moved to Saturday afternoons, garnering a younger following. The show was moved back to late Saturday night by 1977; then was renamed Saturday Night Dead when WKEF changed network affiliations on January 1, 1980 and the show followed NBC's Saturday Night Live. But by the early 1980s, the show's humor had become more risqué, causing increasing clashes with station management. Consequently, Shock Theater/Shock Theatre ended its run in March 1985, but Hobart remained a Master Control Operator at WKEF for six more years.

Raymond Buckland started The Buckland Museum of Witchcraft and Magick in 1966. After visiting the late Gerald Gardner and his collection on the Isle of Man, Raymond was inspired to start a collection of his own. While working for British Airways, he was able to acquire many of the artifacts in this collection from all around the world. He initially displayed his museum on a few shelves in the basement of his Long Island, N.Y. home. However, over time, Raymond’s witchcraft collection rapidly grew to well over 500 artifacts, ranging from Ancient Egyptian ushabtis to documented artifacts from the Salem Witch trials. This was the first museum of its kind in the United States with an anthropological approach to the world of folklore and the supernatural. The museum was in existence for ten years in this New York location (1966-1976). During that time, it was featured in numerous magazine and newspaper articles and was the subject of a television documentary. The New York Times, New York Post, Newsday, Look Magazine, Cosmopolitan, Esquire, Scholastic Voice, and many more, including foreign magazines, had featured articles about the museum. Raymond was also interviewed on a large number of radio stations and both national and international television. The Metropolitan Museum of Art requested and featured some of the pieces in one of its special exhibits. In 1976, Raymond Buckland moved to New Hampshire where he opened the museum from 1977 to 1980. Unfortunately, because of a rigorous writing and lecture schedule, he then had to place the museum collection into storage, where it remained for a number of years. The museum collection was briefly reestablished in New Orleans in 1999 where it passed through multiple hands before being salvaged by Rev. Velvet Reith. A bit damaged and somewhat reduced collection, Velvet was instrumental in preventing the collection from degrading further and being lost. In July of 2015, the museum collection was relocated to Ohio. Currently it is on display in the newly founded Buckland Gallery of Witchcraft & Magick, inside of A Separate Reality Records in Cleveland's historic Tremont neighborhood.
