I prayed to GOD and asked him for “Godly Wisdom” and I believe I heard Him tell me to read the “Book of Proverbs”. Well, since I believe that we should not put off on tomorrow, that which can be done today, I opened up my Message Bible and read Proverbs Chapter 1. In this passage, King Xerxes is advised to put away his wife, Queen Vashti after she refused to join his royal party and walk around in her crown in front of his guests. I have gained a different perspective on this passage, one that I have never heard spoken about in churches, however, I would like to unpack it on today's episode. According to scriptures, Jesus was a single man. I will be reading out of the book of Luke, chapter 4, verses 1 - 32 from the Message Bible. Remember: Spiritual Warfare is Real!However, welcome to my podcast. On this podcast we are R.A.W. (Real and Wise). Although I have not made the wisest decisions throughout the course of my life, I now make it a point to explore the profound wisdom found throughout the teachings in the Bible. Please note, I am not a Bible Scholar, nor am I a Theologian. I am simply a lady who loves to read the Bible and I have opted to take you on this journey with me, as transparently as I can be, while attempting to gain further knowledge and godly wisdom on how to practically navigate through this journey we call, "life". On this episode, I will be examining how Jesus, filled with the Holy Spirit, gained knowledge of the scriptures, resisted temptation, and ultimately allowed GOD to receive the glory in his life. I will also explore how these principles can be applied to our own lives, particularly in the context of singleness, although married couples are also encouraged to explore and apply these principles to their marriages. I know I intend to!!!You may agree to disagree, or you very well may agree. However, it can be said that by being intentional in cultivating a right relationship with GOD through the Holy Spirit, and while immersing ourselves in the Word of GOD, as well as, by remaining steadfast in the face of temptation, like Jesus, we too can find fulfillment, purpose and ultimately bring glory to GOD. Hopefully, by reading about the life Jesus led in the bible, we can become inspired and strive to emulate His example in our own lives, as singles, one day at a time. Understanding that we too have the power to resist temptation and avoid fulfilling the lust of our flesh by applying the knowledge and godly wisdom we gain from reading the Bible. Listen in as I embark upon this enlightening journey and delve a little into the life of Jesus, discovering the path to finding glory in our own lives. I hope this episode encourages someone! Hello Good People, I hope everyone is doing well or on their way to being much better! On today's episode, I will continue with the "Single's Series" and "Anna" the widow will be our focus on today. I will be reading from the book of Luke Chapter 2, in its entirety (verses 1- 52) from the Message Bible. As I read this passage, you will see Jesus referenced as well. Please note, I use the Bible as a point-of-reference for both married and single people. Although this is not considered a “Christian Podcast” per se, the Bible is one of my Resources.That being said, in Luke 2, Anna teaches us something about "Belief and Believing". This is one reason why I wanted to discuss her on this episode. Although not spoken to on this episode, in and of itself, believing can have a lot of benefits. Below are a few benefits that believing can you lead to: Feeling better Feeling healthier Giving yourself grace to fail forward. Reduce feelings of loneliness, by understanding that your now season does not have to mean your forever season. It can inspire you to never give up on yourself! It can become the fuel you need to keep pressing toward your goals so that you can begin to reach them. In the Bible, "believe" simply means to trust that what you hear and or see is true. It also means that our faith in GOD becomes ever so strong that we are willing to follow the blueprint He has set before us, which is considered "the WORD of GOD", the bible. Therefore, believing in GOD, if we are open to this option, could help us to live a life filled with purpose and meaning.Listen in as I unpack how "Anna" chose to make this her choice as a widow. I understand oftentimes when we hear the word 'gift', we tend to think this means someone is talking about the unique qualities that make you who you are. For example, the traits, talents, and abilities that set you apart and make you uniquely you. These are typically the ‘gifts’ most people are referring to, the type of gifts that not only define you but also have a significant impact on how you relate to others, especially in romantic relationships.And although many people often struggle with embracing their unique gifts because they may feel insecure about their talents, or they may feel like their gifts are not 'good enough' or 'valuable enough', this is not what this episode will be about.Let me just say though, that this often stems from societal pressures and expectations, as well as personal insecurities. However, it is important to remember that your ‘gifts’ are what make you unique and special. They are what set you apart from the rest of the crowd. Yesterday, on September 30, 2023, my youngest son experienced something that could have become extremely traumatic for him, had he not taken a moment to call his mother first, me!
As I am still going over the series of events that took place on yesterday, I wanted to take a moment to address the importance of listening!
In my personal opinion, and you can choose to agree or disagree with it...When we use our listening skills, this can help us to not make quick, anxious decisions, without considering and/or applying the insight and wisdom of someone who has gone "before us".

The Bible says, “He that finds a wife, finds a good thing and obtains favor from the LORD”. Well, in the book of Genesis 29:20-35;30:1-43, the story of Jacob and Rachel speaks to how Jacob favored Rachel. I have said it before, and I will say it again, I don’t want the “Spirit of Leah” because in the Bible, Leah was unloved. However, Jacob loved Rachel so much that he was willing to work for her, for 14 years. More times than often, when we are hurting and some asks us, “How are you doing?” Or “How are you feeling?” Our immediate response is, “I am doing okay” or “I am feeling okay”. But what exactly are you hiding from them? I get it. They may not need to know your entire situation and/or truth. However, are you hiding that from yourself too?! What I have recently discovered is that it’s one thing to hide from others those inner revelations you haven’t quite owned about yourself in their entirety. I get it. However, it’s a whole other thing when you are hiding from yourself. When we know better, we should truly do better. During this most recent series of events, I discovered that fear had crept up unaware and I was hiding my fears without full knowledge of me doing so. However, it took something extreme for me to sit with self long enough to ask “Why?”. Why was this happening to Me?! Truth be told, I am still soul searching. Am I the only person in the world who has had a “Wolf In Sheep’s Clothing” experience? I think Not! Where you were deceived into wholeheartedly believing that someone was truly for you, only yo discover over time that this was the furthest thing from the truth? Believe me, I could probably write an entire book on this subject write here! However, in the meantime, I have opted to share my perspective on this subject in hopes that it will help Someone not fall in the same deceptive trap. People who are operating as sheep knowing they are wolves, intend to destroy you. Whether it be your Brand, Your Reputation, Your Trust, Your Perception of Them, Your Perception of Yourself, the list goes on. Most times, you do not even recognize the wolf is not a sheep until the damage has already been done. This is a sad reality for a lot of people. And although everyone is not as naive as I once was, to Believe what people said rather than watch their actions, I have learned the expensive way that ‘wolves in sheep’s clothing’ is not a figment of my imagination. These types of people DO exist. They intentionally Prey on you, rather that Pray a fervent and righteous prayer For You. Bottom line… Wolves in Sheep’s Clothing are against you! Not For You!!! Forgiveness is a Gift. One that most people take for granted. But Why? Why hold on to grudges? Why remain in the zone of indifference? Doesn’t feeling this way exhaust you? Holding grudges and being indifferent. I used to operate in this space. All it made me was Bitter! Yes, Bitter! However, once I made a conscious decision to let go of the grudges and denounce indifference, I was able to find the strength to Forgive those who had offended me. I didn’t focus on whether or not my forgiveness would be reciprocated. Instead, I focused on healing my inner wounds. For some people, their Mask is their Security. Truth is, no one wants to be their Authentic Self and still face Rejection over and over again! So instead, some people will pretend to be someone they are not. In hopes that their Mask will draw the person they Want in due time! We can Try to make all the plans we want, then Hope and Pray that our plans will eventually come to pass! However, such as Life, there will always be an interruption. Death is one of those interruptions! We don’t know the Time, the Date, nor the Hour! If we are not Ready, that will not Stop this Appointment from coming up. This is One Lesson I have Learned with COVID-19. No One’s Life is Guaranteed. From the old to the young and in-between. This dis-ease does not Discriminate! So, what is left for Us to do? In my opinion, Pray without Ceasing, be Obedient and Trust that GOD truly does have the Final Say!!! Get Ready so you Can be Ready! This goes far beyond a dis-ease! Our Relationship with our Creator is what is Necessary and what you should strive to be Ready for!!! If you haven’t spoken to your Creator in a While, today is a Great Day to Start! Too many relationships have been built on Lies! So many marriages have been entered into with deception. Way too many people are stuck with putting the pieces back together after a failed marriage because one or both persons refused to remain authentic on their journey to finding love! Life does not Have to be this way! We do Not have to Pretend to be Someone we are not! Wouldn’t it be Nice if we could attract our Future Spouse because we were being Who we Truly Are in every way?! This way, there is no need to send a “Representative” because what he/she sees will be Exactly Who he/she will get! No More blaming GOD for our Wrong Choices and Expecting Him to Bless Them! There are so many things that I have experienced in my past that I am certainly not proud of! But I am Grateful that GOD kept me through the Process! I have trusted people I should have avoided and I have avoided people who I should have trusted!
