As if maybe it’s just not in your personality because any time you’ve tried, the habits and goals you want to achieve always fade away? Has this held you back from going after the next level goals in business, fitness, wellness, or health? I've felt this way too until I discovered one of the most common and biggest mistakes that blocks consistency.
In today’s episode I’m sharing the exact steps to take to help you get unstuck, stop making this mistake, and instead create motivation to keep showing up for your habits and to enjoy them!
Mentioned in the episode:
Have you ever felt frozen in place? Perhaps you feel called for more, you know where you want to go, you may even know the steps you need to take to get there - but for some reason you’re not sure of, you can’t seem to step forward? In today’s episode, I’m revealing common reasons why you might get stuck so you can find clarity, and what you can do to to start moving forward towards your goals.
Mentioned in the episode:
Book a FREE call with me here and I’ll coach you on your specific goals and struggles, come up with a game plan and your next steps for you - commitment free. If the next right steps are working 1:1 with me then we’ll decide that together.
What if negative thinking is just trying to keep you safe, and was never meant to be believed?
In today's episode I'm sharing how the best way to boost positive thinking is not to seek to stop negative thinking, but to change the way we respond to it.
I break down six simple practices to help you give more attention to the positive side of things so you can stop overthinking, get out of a worry cycle, and start seeing good opportunities while appreciating all that you have already.
Mentioned in the episode:
Going through failure can be one of the most painful experiences, so naturally so many of us do what we can to avoid it at all costs. Some of us may do that by striving for perfection so there won’t be any possibility of failure, for learning as much as we can so we know enough before we put ourselves out there, or by setting aside our goals all together.
I fell into all three categories at various times in my life and as a result experienced so much inner turmoil that held me back from putting myself out there and going after my goals.
Now, as an online wellness entrepreneur, I need to lean into imperfection, growth, and learning in order to succeed and in order to do that, I needed to learn how to see failure differently and untangle the inner critic’s stories associated with it.
In today’s episode I’ll be sharing those steps with you including a new definition of failure that may set your inner critic free, and three powerful journaling questions you can use to pull out the wisdom in any failure so you can use it to succeed.

Being a worrier ever since I can remember I knew how bad the pattern of worrying was for me, especially when I’d read quotes like, “Worrying doesn’t take away tomorrow’s troubles, it takes away today’s peace.”
I’d resonate with the concept of how much suffering worrying was creating for me, but I had no idea how to actually stop. It felt like it was a personality trait, it was who I was as a person so how could I even do anything about it?
Yet I craved more joy, peace, and calmness in my day-to-day life. So I kept searching. That search led me to where I am now, no longer a ‘worrier’ and instead someone who knows how to overcome the pattern of the worry and experience more joy, peace, and contentment without overthinking all of the time.
Today, I’m sharing with you the wisdom that helped me get started on a new pathway to living with more joy and less worry, including the deep understanding of what my worrying pattern actually meant, that set me free.
Mentioned in the episode:
After you make a decision to go after a new goal you’re excited about, have you ever experienced that moment when you start second guessing your decision and struggling to keep your thoughts aligned with your original decision?
Then before you realize it, you’re second guessing your own knowledge and skills until you’re deep in imposter syndrome.
This cycle kept me stuck for years when I first had the desire to create an online meditation course. Now, years later, I’ve taught many, have this podcast, and am about to launch a meditation app with all my courses within it.
In today’s episode, I’m share the steps I took (and still take) any time I found myself wavering and doubting after making a decision. By the end you’ll know a three-step process to implement at any point throughout your life.
Take a breath, get your notes app ready, and take a listen!

What if you are stronger than you think you are? Capable of more than you currently believe? What if the thoughts of your inner critic are not only a misguided attempt to keep you safe, but outright lies when it comes to your own potential?
This has been my experience in all of the goals I’ve set, but the challenge that I took on that proved that we are all capable of so much more than our own minds can perceive was running a 50 mile ultramarathon for the first time in 2022, and now for the second time in 2023.
Last year was all about breaking the barriers of what was possible for me. This year, I knew that running 50 miles was possible, so I had no idea what to expect from this race, and it did not disappoint.
I’m sharing the story of the 50 mile adventure with you and of course the valuable life lessons that came along with it. Join me as we explore how doing hard things propels us to discover and embrace our true potential.
You’ll be able to apply these lessons to your own goals, overcoming low mindsets, shattering the limiting beliefs of your inner critic, staying present amid challenge, moving through discomfort, and digging deep.
Mentioned in the episode:
Do you know the moment when you’re working towards a big goal that you’ve been working towards for a long time - like a big race, a yearly business launch, or an important presentation - and all of a sudden your mind kicks into worry-mode?
Thoughts like, "Oh no, what if I get sick? What if I miss my flight? What if I fall on my face? What if I fail and it doesn’t work out?”
If so, then this episode is for you my friend.
As I’m approaching my big goal - a 50 mile trail race that I’ve been training for all year - my mind started whirling (especially in the middle of the night).
Being a meditation teacher and life coach I’ve been pulling out all o fmy tools to keep my body healthy and well, my stress levels down, and my mindset in the place that I want it to be.
Today I’m taking you behind the scenes and sharing with you the exact steps I’m taking to transform a worrying mind as you approach a big goal or achievement so that you can slow down, enjoy the journey, and embrace all that there’s to be grateful for.
So grab a notebook to take notes, and take a listen!
If you've been struggling with anxiety and are looking for simple tools you can use to get some relief and eventually even find peace, I made this episode for you.

I find that the biggest thing that keeps you blocked from receiving your desires, more success, more love, and experiencing more joy, is that some part of you doesn’t yet feel safe to receive those things.
It’s that simple.
And when the human mind is determined to keep you safe, it will jump through all kinds of hoops to block you from taking action, believing in what’s possible, and receiving your desires.
In today’s episode I’m sharing exactly what this looks like so that you can release the self-criticism and frustration of the painful, repeating patterns that obstruct your path to fulfillment, and instead show you how to use your brain to work FOR you.
By the end of the episode you’ll know how to navigate this experience and come out the other side feeling more safe to receive, able to get to compassion for yourself (instead of self-doubt), and the steps to help you feel safe to receive.

In today’s episode, I’m sharing my story of how the very obstacles that seemed to keep me from my goals were the things that gave me all the tools I needed to discover my purpose.

Most of us respond to feeling a low vibe by trying to get out of it. You might try to put a happy face on, stay positive, or try to be the joyful one in the room (even if you still feel quiet low inside).
You might try to distract yourself or seek comfort by eating, drinking, working, watching TV, or scrolling on social media.
You might try to jump into your healing practices like yoga, meditation, or exercise to get yourself to feel good again.
Or you might fall into the place that so many of us can relate to - where you judging yourself for being in the low vibe, wondering if something is wrong, and telling yourself you ‘should’ feel differently.
But what happens to the low vibe through all of this? Does it go away?
No.
Chances are that even if you don’t quite feel it, it’s there, just underneath the surface creating a low level of anxiety, or unease, or limiting your ability to truly rise up into a higher vibration.
Today I’m sharing what happens when we do all of the above, and what to do instead so that you can move through the low vibe, let it release completely and genuinely shift into a higher vibration. When you do, you’ll receive new clarity, connection, appreciation, and will be able to experience what life has to offer in a more authentic way.

Many of us when feeling discontent, seek to change our external environment in an attempt to feel better- change your job, move to a new place, try to change the behavior of others.

Work with me:
Have you ever felt happy, enjoying the moment when someone walked into the room feeling terrible and immediately you feel yourself shutting down in an attempt to keep their “bad” energy away from you?
Have you felt the need to try to make everyone else happy around you so you can feel free to feel happy?
Has it left you feeling exhausted?
I’m raising my hand right now, my friend. I lived this way through my early twenties and as a result I kept myself so small, barely knew my own emotions, and instead felt like an emotional chameleon, taking on everyone else's. I genuinely wanted to help others feel better and I also wanted to feel better myself.
Only when I shifted my focus from trying to make others happy to trying to heal myself and make myself happy did I shift this pattern and now am able to genuinely help others while feeling energized instead of drained.
In today’s episode I’m sharing actionable tips to help you allow your own emotions and energy to flow so you can stop feeling small and instead let your own light shine. When you do that, you’ll see how you’ll inspire others and help them in ways you really couldn’t when keeping yourself small.

Discover how to shift how you feel not only in your intimate relationships, but in all your loving relationships with family and friends so you can feel seen and heard, and increase connection and love.
In today’s episode I’m talking about the concept of feeling lovable and how so many of us might not realize how much power we have in shifting this and expanding it to increase love in all relationships, and especially intimate relationships.
To take this work deeper, get on the waitlist for our upcoming relationships course by clicking here.
Are you highly sensitive to the emotions of people around you? If so, do you ever feel drained and exhausted by it? Do you find yourself constantly trying to help everyone around you feel better to help them, and also in hopes that you can feel better too?
You are not alone, my friend.
This was how I coped with the overwhelming burden of becoming an emotional chameleon for a long time, and as a result I was quick to burn out. I had no idea that life for me could be much different - instead I assumed that that was how I was wired as a human being and had to accept it and get through as best as I could.
Now, many years later, after practicing a technique I’m sharing with you in today’s episode, I can’t even remember the last time I felt this burden. Instead, I’m free to allow my own emotions and energy to expand and flow, and am connected to myself and others inside of my relationships in such a deeper way.
Not only that, but I'm able to truly inspire and help people without it costing me in any way.
So if you resonate with my story, take a breath and listen to this episode, for there is a better way available for you that I cannot wait to share with you.
If you know of anyone else who might struggle with this, please help me help them by taking a moment to share this episode with them.

I used to believe that if I was afraid of doing something, that meant that I’d always be afraid of it and that I’d have to miss out on doing it.
Now, many years later I fully know this to be untrue. After learning how to transform fear, there are many things I do now without fear at all that I used to be terrified of; and there are many things that I do with fear by my side.
Last weekend I came face to face with deep, old fear that threatened to stop me from finishing a race that I had been excited about.
I practiced a six-step method for transforming fear that I’m sharing with you today and not only got through the experience, but walked away feeling transformed and free to experience more of what I’d love to do from this moment forward.
Take a listen to hear the full story from a mountain trail running race and a breakdown of how you can apply these steps to transforming any fear that freezes you - whether that’s fear of climbing a steep mountain or putting yourself out there and risking rejection.
Mentioned in the episode:
Tony Robbins says that “The quality of your life is determined by the quality of your questions.”
Ever since i was little to when I began my own personal development journey, I worried nearly constantly. The questions I tended to ask myself revolved around anticipating worst case scenarios. The quality of my life that those question created were suffering, fear, struggle, and most of all limiting my own joy and staying small.
It wasn’t until I began changing the quality of my questions when I realized that worrying was not who I was, but a coping mechanism for handling something that felt powerless or uncontrollable.
Now, I ask myself questions every day to inspire me, discover who I really am and what I deeply desire, what actions to take, what I want to create in my life, how things are actually going well, all so I can see what’s truly possible and embrace my life to the fullest.
In today’s episode I share three types of questions that you can use to help you shift the quality of your life, connect to who you are and what you’re meant for, and see all that’s available to you right now.

Okay, you know the feeling…
...maybe you’re working on achieving your next level goals right now and you wake up in the morning knowing what to do yet frozen in place, so stuck and unsure why…
…maybe you’re experiencing so much chronic pain in your body that you’re running out of options to stop it and you’re exhausted…
…maybe you’re tired of the same arguments in your relationships - not feeling heard, not connecting in the way you long to, and not sure how to change it.
What if I were to tell you that there may be a common denominator here?
Emotions.
Like it or not, as humans we are emotional beings. Most of us were never taught how to actually process our emotions in a way that allows them to move through us leaving behind only the information we need to reach our goals.
Instead we’ve learned unhelpful patterns of repressing them, avoiding them, shoving them down, numbing them, or overreacting to them.
In today’s episode, I’m breaking down exactly what happens we you avoid, numb, or react to your emotions and how that may be creating unnecessary suffering and holding you back from living life the way you crave to.
I’m also sharing what to do instead - what it actually means to process your emotions and how to do it so that you can finally be free to take back your own power and live the life you’re meant for!
Mentioned in the episode:
Have you ever tried to figure out what you truly desire and come up blank?

When you’re so excited about your new healing practices like meditation, manifestation, journaling, or even a new workout routine and your family isn’t - it can get really tricky.
At first you may naturally want to get your family interested in your new interests too. You may even try to get them to take the same classes. Or you may try to “sell” these concepts to them, trying to prove how amazing they are just so you can feel supported in your journey.
If they don’t share the same interest, don’t understand or feel the same way about them as you do, it can feel difficult to keep going. How do you make changes to your shared schedule if they’re not into it too?
If you have anyone in your life who doesn’t support you, and is actively against your new habits and growth, what do you do then?
In today’s episode I’m sharing tips and strategies to help you continue following your own path while still being connected to your family who may or may not be on board with your new way of being. By the end of the episode you’ll know what to do to keep going, and you may even understand your family dynamics around this issue more clearly!
Mentioned in the episode:
The feeling of unworthiness can feel so isolating, crushing, and terrible that most of us respond to it by ignoring it and never talking about it.
Naturally, it can feel like you are the only one who feels that way. Yet this, my friend, is a human condition - one that most of us experience.
If you've ever felt this way and questioned what you deserve in life, I invite you to take a listen to today's episode.
I have an important message for you about how this feeling is NOT the truth, how it may be holding you back right now, and how to shift into a new feeling state.
So take a deep breath, and press play and step into the truth of who you are.
Mentioned in the episode:
Why is it that when you go to do something that you actually really want to do - like move your body, eat differently, or grow your business - it feel can sometimes feel so HARD?
Today is a continuation from last week’s episode on doing hard things to create more ease, joy, and freedom in your life.
I’m breaking down why these moments feel so hard so that you can ditch the paralyzing mind drama and be free to just do what you want to do.
I’m also breaking down simple strategies you can take to help you move through the challenging moments when its hard and show up anyway.
If you have goals or habits you’re working on, you don’t want to miss this episode!
Mentioned in the episode:
When you set goals with the intention to create more ease, joy, freedom, and abundance in your life, it can become tricky when you’re immediately faced with a terrifying challenge that’s standing in your way.
You might wonder if this is ‘aligned’ with your overall goal of letting things be easier, and expanding freedom if it feels so hard.
Today I’m talking about the paradox of doing hard things for yourself versus against yourself. My hope for you with this episode is to show you that you too can do hard things, and when you do, you unleash ease, joy, freedom, and abundance.
If you’re working towards your next level goal that will bring you more of what matters most to you, this episode is a must-listen!
Mentioned in the episode:
I used to be the hardest on myself - every single flaw and mistake in any finished project jumped out at me, and I was blind to seeing many positive results.
This continued even though I longed for something different. I longed to not feel so terrible and feel so controlled by repeating negative thought loops, yet wondered if I'd ever get anything done without them.
Then I discovered meditation and a new way to journal and began befriending myself.
Today I'm sharing my journey with self-friendship and tangible steps to begin this yourself if you feel called to.
I'm also sharing my favorite tips for journaling!
Take a listen whether you're early in your own self-friendship journey or have been on this path a while, you're sure to find value from today's episode.

If you’re longing to do something that you're not sure you can do, take a breath and take a listen!
Mentioned in the episode:
I have a message for you that I think you need to hear. You’re worthy of seeing yourself clearly. That means seeing yourself the way your best friend does. That means seeing all of your gifts, your light, your value, and beautiful potential. That means seeing everything you’ve truly done in your life - not through the lens of self-judgment or self-criticism, but through a lens of gentleness, honesty, and clarity.
Today I’m sharing my personal experience with this journey and the wonderful experiences and opportunities that came to me when I did. I’m sharing how I did it and how you can too.
I didn’t prepare for today’s episode, instead I felt inspired to hit record with no notes, only the message I felt compelled to share.
Take a deep breath, hit play and receive it. I made it for you.
And when you’re done, send it to someone important to you in your life.
Mentioned in the episode:
Have you been in the personal or spiritual development space so long that you’re aware of yourself and your patterns and have realized how much you judge, doubt, and criticize yourself that you have come to judge yourself for judging yourself?
I’ve been there myself, and found that keeping the pattern of self-judgment alive only perpetuates it. Yet when you’re deep in that pattern it can be so hard and confusing to change it in any way.
This is why I've recorded this episode and created a free, downloadable guide to go with it to support you in reversing this pattern in the moment with a few simple questions.
Take a listen and download the guide at www.deeprootedbliss.com/tool to start freeing yourself and deepen a sense of self-connection and joy so that you can do what you'd love to do and feel how you deserve to feel.
When you find yourself worrying - going over every conceivable worst-case scenario and want a way out, try this hack that I'm sharing in today's episode.
Worrying is simply a way for our minds to (try) to protect us from uncertainty. Yet in an attempt to protect us from emotional harm, it usually creates it ahead of time.
This hack I'm sharing will help you move through the energy of worry, ground into a feeling of safety, and then expand into hope and possibility.
When you're aligned with the energies of hope and possibility, you're aligned with abundance.
Use this episode as a guide any time you find yourself caught up in the worry-cycle!
Mentioned in the episode:
Imagine that you're needing to make a decision, so you're researching, taking notes, and the more you try to decide the harder it seems to get.
Now you've got even more options to choose from, you're confused, and what's worse, self-doubt is welling up stronger than ever.
You're questioning whether you can do it, whether it's possible, and asking painful questions like, "what if I make the wrong decision?" leaving you lost, exhausted, and at a loss of what to do.
So you set it aside, put off making a decision and feel a bit of relief.
What just happened? You stayed in indecision, and as a result doubted yourself, second guessed yourself, gathered so much conflicting information that you got more confused.
And then the moment you decided to not decide, you felt a bit better.
Today I'm sharing what happens when we stay in indecision and how it breeds self-doubt and confusion, why we tend to stay there too long, and what powerful things can happen when you get better at deciding!
I'm talking about how when you start owning your ability to decide, inspiration, focus, determination, and ease can follow!
So hit pause on your indecision for a moment, and take a listen. Chances are high that by the end of the episode, you'll know what to do!
Mentioned in the episode:
Do you ever feel like you’re not doing enough? I get it. This was me.
For a long time I could only see the flaws in something I finished or only see the ways that I didn’t accomplish enough, and as a result I was left always striving and exhausted.
No matter how hard I worked, it never seemed like it was enough.
Until I realized that I didn’t necessarily need to keep doing more, instead I wasn’t seeing myself and what I was doing clearly.
Today I’m sharing a quick tool you can use to stop this hamster wheel and start seeing yourself - your skills, your knowledge, your experience, your accomplishments - more clearly and feel accomplished and rest easy each night.
I used to secretly worry if it were possible for my body to feel calm. I thought that I was somehow uniquely unable to relax, feel grounded, or experience peace inside without the stars all aligning perfectly.
Then I was introduced to meditation and quickly discovered that I don't have to live in a stressed state, and feeling calm could become a more natural, constant state instead.
Now years later as a meditation teacher and coach teaching skills, frameworks, and tools for how to cope with stress, find your peace, and ground yourself whenever you need to, I hear many of my students have wondered the same thing about themselves.
In today’s episode, I’m talking about:
By the end of the episode, you’ll understand that experiencing peace is possible for you and how to get there!
Mentioned in the episode:
Have you ever felt like you failed, lost all progress, and were completely exhausted at the idea of having to start again at zero when you miss a day in one of your desired habits?
This was me! For as long as I can remember. And as a result I was notorious for picking up new habits and letting them fall apart time and time again.
Now that I’ve let go of three patterns (that I share in today’s episode) I no longer feel that way, and instead enjoy establishing and maintaining new habits. I love habits so much now that I see them as a tool to connect to myself, enjoy my life, and experience new things!
Take a listen so you too can unravel the “all or nothing” mentality like me, and learn a new way of going about habits that will help you drop failure, and actually allow your progress to build.
Mentioned in the episode:
Are you connected with what you desire, what you love, what brings you joy? Do you know how to receive those things and allow them to expand? What if you find yourself limiting those things, in an attempt to take care of everyone else?
If that's you, then I'd say you're a very normal human being just trying to get through this life being as good of a person as you can be. Yet, what if we're missing a big piece of the puzzle when trying to take care of everyone else, putting ourselves last?
What if we forget to take care of ourselves? What if we find ourselves disconnected with who we really are, what lights us up, what brings us joy?
In today's episode, I'm talking about what it might mean to allow yourself to rediscover what you love and bring that out into the world - whether that's creating something new or taking a crocheting class.
By the end of the episode you'll not only see how allowing yourself to expand in your own desires and joy will support your own wellbeing and close circle of people, but will benefit the world.
Take a breath and listen along.
Mentioned in the episode:
Have you ever realized that there wasn’t a class in school for one the things that we all experience the most: emotions? What’s worse is that when we don’t know how to navigate them, we inadvertently create so much more suffering for ourselves.
When we do the things we HAVE learned how to do like shove your emotions down, compartmentalize, or avoid them, you quickly slip into unwanted patterns like overeating, over drinking, overworking, feeling stuck and blocked from creativity, lower capacity for joy, higher anxiety…
…the list goes on!
So today consider this a little 101 class on emotions, helping you learn how to set aside the struggle and step into power within them (instead of always being controlled by them).
Mentioned in the episode:
“Just be confident! You’ve got this!” Hearing this always made me roll my eyes, if I knew how to do that, I wouldn’t feel nervous or insecure ever again!
When you’re feeling far from confident, it seems like you’re supposed to just ‘will’ yourself to be confident, which only leaves you feeling farther from it.
Today I’m talking about the real step-by-step formula for gaining confidence that might surprise you if you haven’t heard it already. When I discovered this method, I immediately stopped trying to shove down my nerves and ‘pretend’ to be confident (while actually making the nerves stronger), and instead continued to take action until one day I realized that I had all the confidence I had always been looking for.
So, my friend - stop trying to will yourself to feel confident and instead take a listen and follow the steps and I assure you, you’ll get there.
Mentioned in the episode:
Courage is one of my personal values because of all that it allows me to do - but it hasn't always been that way.
I used to believe courage meant taking action without being afraid. Meaning that I'd have to muster up the energy to stop fear in it's tracks AND take action.
The idea felt impossible, and as a result I stayed small when I wanted to share myself. I stayed quiet when I wanted to speak up. I froze when I wanted to take action.
Then I learned what courage actually is, and the concept not only allowed me to take action, it set me free inside so that I could grow, expand, and experience more joy and connection.
I share how in today's episode! Let's dig in!
Mentioned in the episode:
What if in 2023, you were to stop limiting yourself, staying small, and going along to get along? And what if you were to instead decide to show up, be seen, and share the things that are on your heart?
I know, any of my fellow people pleasers out there might be feeling a tad bit nervous at the idea, but hear me out…
Today I’m sharing a story from my yoga teacher training when I personally discovered the true power of one person stepping into courage to share a message that the entire crowd might not have wanted to hear. For me, that message changed my life.
I’m exploring all the ways that sharing YOUR voice, what’s on YOUR heart may become a life raft for someone else when you’d least expect it - and will free yourself in the process.
If you’re a yoga teacher, an entrepreneur, writer, blogger, or someone who has something to say but has been nervous by the reactions to it, this episode is for YOU my friend.
Take a deep breath, and listen to the pep talk you just might need as we change the calendar year.
And if you enjoy, help this podcast start 2023 with a bang by taking a quick a moment to write me a review!
You know the feeling...
Maybe you’ve tried to start new healthy habits to lose weight. You've been putting the effort in and are actually feeling really good. You know you must've lost weight and are ready to REALLY celebrate, when you step on the scale and your heart sinks discovering that not much has changed.
How you can go from feeling good and accomplished to feeling awful in a matter of seconds?
How does this feeling effect your consistency? Chances are it blocks it, further blocking you from your goal.
In today’s episode I’m talking about a simple shift in focus to help you ditch this awful feeling and instead feel better and accomplished, while continuing to take action before you even reach your goal. When you do this, your consistency and goal will become inevitable!

If I could narrow it down to one thing in my life that has created the most powerful transformation, growth, and wellbeing, it’s goal-setting.
Yet when it comes to embarking on this activity, a LOT can come up blocking you, leaving you feeling confused and resistant. If you do set goals, and you’re working towards them, you’re bound to feel stuck or blocked from taking action at some point. So many of us choose to forgo any of this and maybe try a fun New Year’s Resolution that doesn’t mean much to you, and get back to your everyday life.
In today’s episode I share some of the most common misconceptions about setting goals, and how to move through them so YOU can transform yourself and your life for the better in a way that feels aligned for you.
So whether you enjoy goal-setting and want to learn new tips, or you’ve ever felt nervous to try it, overwhelmed at where to start, or experience lots of uncomfortable feelings that block you in taking action - this episode is for you.

If you were to take a step back and look at the bigger picture, we are all seeking to feel more of the emotion of love. Whether that’s feeling more love for ourselves, feeling stronger love in our relationships, or feeling loved by the people in our lives - it drives our goals, our success, or health and wellness and so much more.
Today I’m teaching how we actually experience this emotion, and how its actually quite different than how we’ve been conditioned to believe we experience it. Through this perspective shift, I’m sharing how you can expand your experience with this feeling in and of itself, and how that can lead to stronger and deeper connection in all of your relationships, including the one with yourself.
At the end of this month, I’m teaching this concept inside our Winter Break Reset where I’ll guide you through releasing 2022, aligning with a clear vision for 2023, and helping you welcome in the new year with a list of your core goals for the upcoming year. You’ll never set New Year’s Resolutions again, instead you’ll want to go through this ritual to create a powerful ripple effect that will touch every part of your life throughout the year. Whether you celebrate a specific holiday during November and December or not, this time of year can be overwhelming, especially when it comes to the feeling of grief.
Today I talk about grief and the holiday season, how to move through waves of your own grief, and how to be there for others in their grief.
You know the crushing feeling: you’re left alone in a room with someone you’re not 100% socially comfortable with and immediately your palms start sweating, you’re wondering what on earth you’re going to talk about. You're dreading silence, what should you say? What should you do?
Today I’m sharing the biggest lessons I’ve learned from going from being a shy and awkward person to now enjoying going to social gatherings and even, dare I say it, mingling.
When I was deeply socially anxious, I didn’t know there was anything I could do about it - I just thought that I was wired that way and I had to go though life dreading those awkward conversations. Now, I realize that this too, can be learned and practiced!
Listen today for my three-step strategy to help you feel more comfortable and less drained in any social gathering!
Mentioned in the episode:
Does it ever feel like being consistent (versus procrastinating, or all or nothing behavior) is just a part of you or it isn't?
That's how I felt about it for a long time. I was NOT consistent in most areas of my life and instead thriving on taking action last minute with massive amounts of pressure, and would frequently let good habits fall away.
It wasn't until I had some big goals that demanded that I get consistent when I decided to try to figure it out.
I discovered that it's a muscle that can be strengthened like any other.
Today I'm sharing the basics to help you get started in getting consistent with ANY goal you choose.

As I went to record this episode, I got chills when I realized I was recording episode number "111". To me this number is meaningful. It makes me think of my dad ever since he passed away seven years ago.
So instead of recording the topic I had planned, I decided to share the top three pieces of advice my dad, Jim Leaden, taught me about entrepreneurship and how they apply to so many areas of life.
If you're an entrepreneur and struggle with sales, you'll love the beautiful and inspiring advice from my dad.
Yet even if you're not, this episode might support you in opening up to receive the next relationship, opportunity, or experience that you most need right now.
So, enjoy this one - I'm honored to share it with you.
For as long as I can remember, I was my own worst enemy. I had everyone else's back, yet it never even occurred to me to do the same for myself. What would that even look like? How in the world would you even start?
Over the years I've learned how, and it has truly transformed the way I experience life from the inside out. Now, it's the largest concept that I teach.
Today I'm sharing the subtle art of getting started (or continuing) in having your own back - why it's normal that we don't, and how you might already know how to do it.
If you've EVER beat yourself up, gotten in your own way, said things to yourself that you'd never say to anyone else, or been your own worst enemy - this episode is a must-listen.
If you’re into personal development, then you know the feeling: you’ve just dug deep and uncovered a limiting belief that explains why you’ve been so blocked! You’re in that sweet spot of an ‘aha’ moment.
Then, immediately after, the natural next question floods in: how in the world do you let this belief go so you can be free to finally do what you want?
In today’s episode I’m teaching you how to avoid making a common mistake that those of us who have been so used to judging ourselves make (that actually strengthens the negative pattern we’ve uncovered).
I’m also teaching you exactly what to do in this specific moment that will create more connection to yourself, will leave you feeling open, accepting, and free to move forward towards your goals effortlessly.
So if you’ve ever done ANY personal or spiritual development work, this episode is a must-listen.
Mentioned in this episode:
You know that feeling of dread on those mornings when you wake up with heavy emotions, low energy, a schedule FULL of things you both want to do and need to do, and inspiration is so far away it’s even hard to imagine you’ve ever even felt it at all?
I cannot tell you how many mornings I’ve woken up this way with the ensuing dread and frustration, disappointed that ANOTHER day might pass me by not going after my goals and not enjoying my life the way I wanted to.
I used to believe that the way you wake up is the way you’re destined to feel all day long - as if emotions are constants, out of your control, and a gamble - never knowing which one you’re going to wake up with.
It wasn’t until I started figuring out how to free myself of my inner critic, turning toward myself (rather than beating myself up), did I discover that we have great power in transforming how we feel.
On the morning I recorded this episode, I woke up with those same heavy emotions I used to feel so powerless to, but I did not experience dread. Instead, I used my simple process to transform that energy until I felt how I wanted to. Today, I take you with me on this transformation.
Mentioned in the episode:
Words spoken to me at the end of a mentorship I took years ago stayed with me and popped back into my head a couple weeks ago clicking everything into place.
In finding my purpose, every struggle, every challenge, every hurdle I faced all of a sudden made sense.
Today, I’m sharing how our mess is often our message and the story of how the mess I thought was leading me down the wrong path away from my dreams, actually brought me directly to a bigger and greater version of them.
I also share how you can find your purpose too.
Mentioned in the episode:
Have you ever changed careers or gone through a transition in your life so big that it made you question who you are outside of it?
You found yourself in that paralyzing moment of uncertainty and fear, not sure what life will be like without the role you know yourself to fill or who you are underneath it?
Today on the podcast, I have the pleasure of speaking with Rebecca Rasmussen - a lifelong professional dancer so made this shift away from dancing and into the next stage of her life with a new career and life of her dreams of teaching yoga and coaching.
She shares with us what it was like to discover who she is without being a full time professional dancer and how that supports her everyday life now.
Mentioned in the Episode:
Are you ready for more and you either: have clear goals you're working towards, or you know you're ready for the next level but you're not sure exactly what that is...
…and you're STUCK.
And you're not sure exactly why (let alone HOW to get unstuck).
In an effort to figure this out, you see that you're not taking action in the way you want to so naturally, you come across new productivity systems or planners and think that THIS may be the answer.
If this is you, then chances are that you've tried a few of these and maybe even experienced success for a while, only until an obstacle came up, making you stuck once again - leaving another unfinished planner in your bookcase (you know, for later), frustrated and confused once again.
This episode is a must-listen and will not only help you understand what's going on here, but help you discover a pathway out.
Take a breath, and press play, my friend.

Mentioned in this episode:
Last Saturday I discovered that we truly have no business in thinking we know what we’re actually capable of.
Two years ago I fell in love with trail running and had a secret goal to run a 50 mile race one day. Ever since, I’ve been following a training plan telling people I was just doing it for the workout plan while inside knowing that one day I’d give this race a shot.
Even though I wanted to go for it, I didn’t believe that I could ever be capable of finishing such a thing. I had no evidence whatsoever telling me that I could do this. Instead, my brain provided me with tons of evidence explaining how ludicrous this goal actually was.
Yet Saturday finally was that opportunity, and like any long, epic journey I received so many life lessons from the first minute of gathering at 4:50am in the dark with the other runners before the start, to sitting in a beloved chair with a cup of ginger ale in my hand, a medal around my neck, surrounded by my friends and family beaming.
Today I’m taking you with me on my journey through the woods and sharing with you all of the biggest life lessons I gathered.
Whether you’re a runner or not, I hope this episode brings you wisdom and comfort for challenges and dark moments on your way to your own goals; and the inspiration to keep going, believe harder, and trust your own deep, inner desires as guides to your future.
Mentioned in the Episode:
I used to be afraid of so many things…
Putting myself out there, being seen, failure - all the typical things, yes.
But also other things that limited my experience of life and joy within it like roller coasters, ocean boats, flying, hiking by myself, public speaking, committing to stay consistent in a good habit.
There was one pivotal moment in my life when I was a teenager where I practiced what I now teach, and discovered that just because we are afraid of something, doesn’t mean that we can’t do it, and more than that - doesn’t mean that we can’t release the fear completely and ENJOY it instead.
I now have gotten over ALL of those fears above - including committing to stay consistent in something (today is a representation of that as it’s episode 100 of this podcast!) - and not only that, I’ve discovered that I can do all of them with fear GONE completely and instead I get to have fun, love each experience, and see that there’s so much more to do and explore than I used to believe possible for me.
In today's episode, I’m sharing that story from when I was a teenager, where I unknowingly implemented a strategy that I’ve now since studied and teach, and how if I - a person who was afraid of SO MANY THINGS can get over my fears, experience exhilaration and joy, and discover who I really am - so can you.
Ways to go deeper:
What if worry didn’t meant that catastrophe were actually coming? What it worry wasn’t a sign from your intuition telling you that bad things are coming or good things are ending? What if in actuality, it meant there is something GOOD was trying to expand from within you?
It may sound far-fetched - I know I would’ve thought so way back when, when the majority of my brain power went into worrying about every foreseeable undesirable outcome my creative imagination could conjure.
Yet ever since being on this personal development journey, I’ve come to realize that this is very true.
Worries are not truth.
Worries are a sign of other things that might be lurking beneath the surface of your conscious mind.
And if you start to see them through what I share in today’s podcast, you’ll stop the downward spiral of feeling terrible when they come around, and instead knowing how to transform them into feeling GOOD.
So if you’ve EVER worried, be sure to listen to this episode!
It just might change your life.
Mentioned in the episode:
Most of us truly have no idea what we really are capable of. How do you go out and set goals when you're not sure what potential lies within you?
Today I talk about what blocks us from seeing our own potential, how that can keep us stuck, and what to do instead. I lived blocked in this exact way for a long time before I began to move beyond it. Now, the more I accomplish, the more I realize that if I had decided to live only going after things I knew I could achieve then I would be living a much smaller life than I do now.
So if you're curious about making your seemingly impossible goals come true, or if you're not sure how to figure out what your goals even are then don't miss this episode!
Mentioned in episode:
Do you know you’re meant for more and want to achieve your goals but you find yourself stuck, not sure what the next steps are or sometimes even wondering what are the goals that you actually want?
Maybe you've gone after your goals and found yourself exhausted once again, burnt out, overwhelmed and unsure of what to do next.
Maybe every time you try to figure out what lights you up and what goals sound exciting and desirable you come up blank.
Today I'm sharing the most common things that keep us blocked from our goals and making the impact we know we're meant to have AND what to about it.
Mentioned in the episode:
You set a goal and immediately an obstacle stops you in your tracks. It’s hard. It’s challenging. You question if you’re capable of doing such a hard thing.
Or maybe you’ve wanted to try out a new habit or finally take action toward a new goal but it’s hard. It feels TOO hard. You find yourself stuck once again.
In today’s episode I’m sharing something special with you to help you see that YOU CAN DO HARD THINGS.
Not only will this episode help you discover your own hidden potential, but it can also become a pep talk to come back and listen to whenever you need a little pick-me-up.
So take a listen and be prepared to feel invigorated with new energy and belief in yourself with a curiosity about what might be possible.
Mentioned in the episode:
Why do we self-sabotage, prevent, or stifle those precious moments of joy?
Maybe you've stopped yourself from feeling joy fully waiting for the other shoe to drop, or expected something terrible to happen next. Maybe success has been right around the corner and then something goes wrong and while you're disappointed, some part of you expected something to go wrong.
I break down why we self-sabotage, or prevent the emotion of joy, and it may not be what you expect.
This episode will not only normalize your experience, but help you see it in a new way that will expand the potential for you to go after your goals and embrace joy every step of the way.
Mentioned in the episode:
Most of us are walking around with our heads filled with noise, yet feel very little power in changing it. When we dig into self-development practices that start to teach us how we might find ourselves in a tricky place: more self-judgment.
It's ironic because many of us in this situation will seek out these practices in the first place to help ease the amount of self-judgment that holds us back from our goals, and yet we end up using these beautiful techniques and practices against ourselves.
Today I talk about how to navigate this in a way that dissolves self-judgment and self-ridicule, eases suffering, and opens the doors to compassion so that you can take action intentionally to create the kind of impact you most desire.
Mentioned in this episode:
As someone who’s worried about things for as long as I can remember, I never realized the full impact it had on me.
Part of me hated how I felt when I worried, while another part of me felt attached to it, afraid to let it go. As if worrying helped me control the future and protected me from the worst-case scenarios my imagination conjured.
Tune into today’s episode to explore how this is actually the opposite effect of worrying, how it tends to create MORE negative thoughts, emotions, and undesired outcomes and what to do instead.
I never knew I had power over my worrying - I thought it was just who I was and there was nothing I could do about it.
Now I know it’s a normal experience that no longer takes over my life and is instead an opportunity to feel better, dream bigger, and raise my vibration.

Mentioned in Episode:
You set a goal, had specific expectations for how you wanted it to go, and when it didn’t go as planned something inside of you shut down. That sickening feeling of failure - not the kind where you’re ready to study, figure out what went wrong, and get back at it with new information, no. This feeling is one that drives you to look the other way, set the goal aside, watch Netflix: it’s feeling like a failure.
Today I share a recent personal experience with this, how I noticed it showing up in my action (and lack of action), and how it influenced the way I show up for myself, others, and my goals. I explore what we can do by starting to recognize these symptoms and how specifically to overcome them through self-compassion and owning your own worthiness.

It wasn’t until I learned about mindfulness and began practicing it did I learn how to soak up the joy of summer (or any joyful moment for that matter).
If you love this season are want to make sure that you enjoy every drop of it you can, be sure to listen to today’s episode!

“Why would anyone have a hobby? What’s the point?” These questions and more were normal, everyday logical thoughts from Tahmina Watson, an Immigration Lawyer who changed her entire perspective on herself, her career, and life after discovering meditation and a joy-filled hobby as a result.
Tahmina joins me to share her story of how her newfound joy and connection to nature through birding has helped her become a better lawyer, mother, wife, and fellow human being.
She shares her relatable experience of being too busy, striving to make a bigger impact and take care of more people, and being a mother caring for her children - leaving little to no time to sleep, let alone find an activity just for the joy of it.
Tahmina demonstrates how now that she’s found exactly that, she’s astonished at how much her life has expanded in new and amazing ways.
So if you’ve ever wondered how anyone could find the time to meditate, or enjoy a leisurely activity, and a good reason to make it happen - this episode is a must-listen!
Mentioned in the episode:
What would you do if you had more time? What would you create? How would you take care of yourself or relate to the people in your life?
I used to live largely in a state of overwhelm and I longed for a break. I longed for the weekend, a day with nothing planned in six weeks, a vacation four months from now - and felt so crippled by overwhelm in the meantime. I thought I needed to wait for those moments, or change my external world around me in order to gain some freedom in time. I felt so powerless in relation to time, as if everything around me had to change in order to feel better now.
What I discovered is that time is our perception. And we perceive it differently when we're in different states.
Today I share how the most effective way to gain time freedom is not to change your schedule, the people around you, or any other aspect of your circumstances, but instead to shift your own internal state. Take a listen to discover how simple shifts can make a powerful impact on not only your experience of time, but your health, and overall enjoyment of your life.
If you're waiting to start something new and you're really scared, this episode is for you.
Today I get to talk with Dina Lobo, a Women's Transformational Coach & Certified Trauma Support Specialist, and she shares a powerful message about choosing joy, letting it be messy, and not waiting for it all to be perfect before you take the actions toward having the life you deserve.
Dina shares amazing, simple ways to bring these teachings into your parenting and in your own individual healing whether you're a parent or not.
Mentioned in this episode:
Have you ever wondered if you'd feel motivated if you didn't have a deadline, didn't beat yourself up every step of the way, or didn't feel bad enough to push yourself to take action?
While on your spiritual and personal development journey, and you start learning to feel better, accept, and enjoy yourself in the present moment, you might start to fear if you'll be able to still go out and accomplish goals, enact change, and take action.
Today I explore this frequently-asked question and how while this fear is so normal - it's misguided and there's a much better way.
When you explore the answers to the questions in this episode you'll start to see that it's possible to not only feel better and enjoy this moment, but also feel driven to take inspired and aligned action in your life.
Mentioned in the episode:
Today on the podcast I interview Sabine - a stage actress and director turned confidence coach - who shares with us a few stories of deep struggle in her life, how she decided to move through them in a way that brought her unexpected joys. So if you've ever felt like turning toward your self-care practices or your goals during difficult times is impossible, selfish, or just confusing, listen to this episode. For I believe that times like these are more fuel to nurture yourself, and I share how I believe this serves yourself, your community, people suffering, your personal mission, and the world.

...this is way simpler and can still have a profound ripple effect with all of your relationships from your most intimate to strangers you meet out in the world.

So you’re feeling better and better, and your vision is getting clearer when you talk to a family member who’s still stuck in ways you know well. You want to tell them all about what you’ve been doing but you’re hesitant to - how will they receive it? What will they think? Will they really take the advice?
I’ve been asked this question from so many of my students, especially when they’ve just begun to really get into a meditation practice and are feeling the amazing effects and want everyone they’re close to in their life to experience the same that I decided to record a podcast episode on it.
Today I’m taking you through four steps to do whenever you want to change, fix, or help those around you when you see them struggling in ways you know your own personal development could help them.
I not only share ways to help them, but how to turn this very subject into a self-development tool for you to get to know yourself and grow even more.

It’s been almost seven years since my dad passed away, and while I’ve grown so much in my grief, developed a connection to him since, and live by the greatest lesson the whole experience taught me, the feeling of grief can and still hits me like a ton of bricks in moments.
We tend to not talk about grief, about the hard moments of it, or share that it’s normal to still miss someone seven years later. As I was feeling this deeply one morning, I felt the urge to share my experience with it, and six guideposts for grieving that I’ve accumulated on this journey.
I see grief in a new way now and as a result I’m immensely grateful for it’s presence, for it is also a connection I get to have with my dad.
Take a listen to hear my real experience, what grief feels like, my take on how to move through it (rather than suppressing it), and what might be possible on the other side.

Mentioned in today's episode:
Have you ever written off one area of your life that you might secretly want to pursue?
Maybe you've always dreamed of playing the piano, but weren't very good in music class at school.
Maybe you've been curious to do more in your career but you struggle with procrastination or time management.
For me, I often came in last and on the verge of tears at the one mile run test at school, and because of the pain of the whole experience I never thought I had any business in running.
Yet inside, I secretly longed to know what it felt like to be a runner. By following the steps I share in today's episode, I not only discovered that I was wrong when I believed myself to be forever terrible and slow at running, but I am capable of so much more than I ever dared to dream.
What if what holds us back from achieving our dreams aren't the circumstances we're in, the bad experiences we've had in the past, or even our own limiting habits - what if we just never gave ourselves a valid chance by meeting ourselves exactly where we are and moving forward one step at a time?

Julie joins me for a conversation of how she spent years building accidental resilience until she discovered that she was a highly sensitive person, what that meant, and how she could develop tools to build intentional resilience - creating the possibility of a deeper relationship with her family as a mother, a fulfilling career, and an overall sense of well-being she didn’t realize she was missing.

Have you ever said no to something that deep down you knew you really needed to say no to? Maybe in an effort to avoid having to say no you quickly agree, wanting to avoid confrontation, or worrying about letting someone down. But the hard truth is that for every yes, there is also a no. If you say yes to someone else, you are simultaneously saying no to yourself. In today's podcast episode I share all about how you can stop creating resentment, exhaustion, and burnout, so that you can welcome in what matters most to you and thrive in your daily life.
Learn how to cultivate joy and fulfillment by doing the inner work and what that exactly entails from a therapist and yoga teacher turned self-development and business coach, Pam Godbois.
I’ve always been fascinated by the power of leaning into the tough moments, discomfort and coming out the other side can bring us to places we never dared to imagine. I dig deep with Pam in today’s conversation to discover how she’s created resilience in her life and business and what doors that has opened up for her.
In our conversation, you’ll hear Pam and I discuss:
Get ready to lean into Pam's story and learn a ton along the way.
When you're working so hard to reach your goals, maintain an amazing new habit, or attract your desires and then something happens that makes it all feel impossible, it can be so hard to imagine that you'll ever get to where you want to be. All progress feels lost. Your goals feel more out of reach than ever. And internally, you wonder if it's just not meant for you.
This is NOT the time to give up, my friend. Instead, it's time to shift your perspective and start to see this roadblock as the exact obstacle you need to create the life you're after. In today's episode, I break down how I did this recently with a running injury and how you can apply these same questions to any situation that feels crushing and turn it into the greatest part of your story.
Mentioned in the episode:
As a painfully shy kid, I grew up thinking I was an introvert and that meant that I was a shy person (and I couldn't do anything about it). What I discovered years later, is that the definition of an introvert doesn't have anything to do with being shy. Not only that, I healed the quality of shyness through my wellness practices, allowing me to embrace introversion for my wellbeing.
In today's episode, I explore the differences between being an introvert like myself, and an extrovert (like my husband), and why knowing this information may help you connect with yourself and thrive in your relationships and in your life.

It’s the 1 year anniversary of this podcast!! But how did I stick to it?
I have to admit to you that for the majority of my life I have thought myself to be a procrastinator and terrible at consistency. Never in a million years would I have thought I could launch and maintain a weekly podcast - but I did, and it’s here to stay.
In this episode I break down the steps I took to prepare myself for this a year ago and how I navigated obstacles throughout the year to keep consistency going. I share some of the most important tools I now apply to anything I want to commit to and maintain consistency.
If you want to get consistent or tighten your consistency with something, this episode is for you!

When you discover the cause, you can also discover a solution that doesn’t mean you have to change careers, schedules, or go on a 6 month sabbatical in order to get beyond it. Take a listen to hear the information that became a big life changing moment for me when I learned it.

Are you making this mistake with your goals?
Are you writing them down once (or just thinking about them) and then walking away?
I used to do just that and had some success, but most of the time saw the same goals being set over and over again with little or no progress towards them.
Now I have a relationship with my goals and it has changed everything.
Goal setting is not just a fun, once-a-year practice - it's a way to connect with and understand myself, heal my past, move forward, dare to dream big, and finally have what I desire.
I'm sharing all the details of how you can start doing this too in today's episode.
Do you just want to be happy?
I feel you my friend. At a young age I was on the hunt for the answer that would grant me this feeling all of the time.
But what I discovered was so. much. better.
What if you shift your goal from wanting to feel happy (and unintentionally repelling happiness through the process) to wanting to feel a full spectrum of emotions that life has to offer?
What if this not only gives you a full, connected, and more meaningful life, but it also grants you genuine happiness that doesn't come from your circumstances, but comes from within?
Listen to today's episode to learn this powerful perspective shift that massively shifted my own empathic nature from feeling like a burden to becoming one of my greatest gifts.
What I Practice Everyday To Change How I Feel & Create The Results I Desire
In a recent conversation with a good friend, I was asked what is the main practice that I've done in the last 10 years that have created the most positive transformation and growth in my personal life and business...
I boiled it down to this one thing that I share with you in today's episode.
If you've ever felt stuck or felt like you've been regularly repeating the same patterns without moving forward in the way you're craving - then this episode is for you.
What if you're doing things right now that no longer make sense for your current set of values?
What if you're thinking, feeling, and behaving in ways that no longer support you, but actively hold you back?
Discover a simple practice of becoming aware of the hidden beliefs that are driving you, decide if they are helping or hindering you, and create new, more powerful ones that are in line with how you want to live right now and into the future.

“If you listen to your body when it whispers, you won’t have to hear it scream.” - Unknown
This quote hit home for me after years of only listening to my body when it screamed. When I decided to be proactive and jump into self-care before it got to that point, it occurred to me that I had no idea what those “whispers” were. Today I’m sharing the process to stop ignoring these signals, and identify what they are for you personally - so that you can start listening to your body when it whispers and say goodbye to hearing it scream.
Today I want to talk about how we tend to identify with what we DO, how we FEEL, and even what we THINK. We don’t realize how these identities may hold ourselves hostage, unable to move forward and navigate obstacles in the way of our goals.
I share how a shift in identity helped me become a runner, meditator, and more - and how you can do the same following this step-by-step reflective process. Be sure to grab the free journaling companion guide here.
Do you ever struggle with making decisions?
Today I’m talking about what might be going on under the surface when you don’t make a decision and how it might affect the flow of the day.
I’m sharing what I do now when I’m feeling unmotivated, instead of wandering around aimlessly into the shame spiral like I used to.

You know that moment when you’re excited about something and feel a well of joy erupt inside of you, only to be quickly smothered by thinking, ‘don’t get your hopes up’, ‘don’t get too excited’ or ‘this can’t last, what’s coming next?’. Do you ever wonder why you can’t just let yourself be happy?
In this episode I’m sharing a valid reason why we might do this, to help you stop judging yourself, generate compassion, and then open the doors to actually feeling and expanding genuine joy.

After everything we’ve been going through with COVID, many of us are so longing for connecting with friends and loved ones and having meaningful Holiday gatherings.
On the other hand, there are so many strong different opinions politically and handling COVID, the idea of gathering can bring up some worries. Are the Holidays this year going to end in arguments, blow outs, or just be painful experiences that are so extremely opposite from what we’ve been longing for?
Today I share perspective shifts that help me connect with the people that matter most (even if they have different opinions), how to set my own boundaries so I can experience what I desire on my next gathering - holiday or otherwise!
As mentioned in the episode, sign up for my FREE Grounding Yourself Through The Holidays 7 Day Meditation Challenge starting on 11/22/21 to receive daily meditations to help you stay grounded and clear with what matters to you.
Have you approached the Holidays filled with tons of expectations around how you imagine it will go, how you hope the people around you will behave, and how amazing you should feel, only to experience something very different? What if our expectations about holidays might be closing you off from experiencing the joy and gratitude you want to feel, and instead causing judgment towards your experiences, resulting in compounding stress?
A full guided meditation is available within this episode for when you need support in feeling, moving through, and processing emotions. I begin by sharing the power of observing emotions rather than reacting to or resisting them, teach you a few ways to observe in a more transformational way, then guide you through the practice. Last week a friend and I went on a challenging backpacking trip. Loving any opportunity to learn, I saw this as a spiritual journey as well as a physical adventure. I took a quote with me written on an index card stuck in the hip pocket of my pack by Pema Chodron: “Let difficulty transform you. And it will. I’m my experience we just need help in learning how not to run away.” This quote became a security blanket, a comforting friend, and a teacher guiding me deeper into what I needed to learn the most. In today's episode I share with you the two most important life lessons I learned on the trail with this quote by my side.
In our culture, most of us aren’t taught how to process emotions in a productive way that bring us closer to our goals or give us clarity and connection. Instead, many of us end up shoving them down, resisting or avoiding them, numbing or distracting ourselves from them, or reacting to them in ways we wish we didn’t. In this episode I share what emotions are and how to process them in a way that changed my own life, empowering me in ways I didn’t know possible.
Ever felt like you keep changing things around you without feeling much different? You continue to find yourself feeling the same intense emotions that seem to keep holding you back? Today I share an intro to the concept that has become my greatest tool in self-transformation: samskaras. Working with samskaras has helped me release old, painful emotional patterns, gained new clarity, deepened my relationships, ultimately helping me feel better. Take a listen today to start diving into this life-changing work.
Do you have a to-do list that sometimes feels never-ending? Do you catch yourself saying things like "once I do xyz, then I'll be able to slow down"? In today's episode, I discuss a short way to utilize a skill you most likely already have - in a way that can help you stop waiting to rest and enjoy, and start incorporating that into each and every day.
It’s October 1st and I’m in Connecticut. A crisp breeze is blowing by bringing with it a new season to enjoy. If you’re someone who enjoys fall but doesn’t love the winter it brings after, then this episode is for you. I share two simple practices to start using today to both help you appreciate the subtle beauty of today and release the seasonal anxiety that may flutter in your gut the moment fall knocks on your door.
Have you ever started out your day feeling good and then you saw someone doing something easily that you’re really struggling with and all of a sudden you were plunged into a sea of frustration, self doubt, worry, the list goes on. Today I share how to move through this state of comparison in a way that shifts you into compassion, connection, and abundance.
I wanted to get to know myself a little better and understand what my meditation practice has really done for me over the years. So I decided to write a letter to my younger self. After I read it, it touched me so deeply that I decided to share it here. In today's episode, learn how this simple practice of writing letters to yourself can help you get to know yourself better too, and learn how meditation can improve your life through this deeply personal letter.
What blocks you from embracing your life? In this episode, I share one life changing decision I made that allowed me to stop blocking the things in my life to flow and start showing up in a way that allowed me to start embracing my life. I tell you how you can start contemplating this mindset shift and how it might enable you to receive and have the things you most desire.

Fear & anxiety can be full-body, deeply visceral experiences that have the capacity to hold you back from doing the things that you long to do. I’ve had a phobia my whole life that recently has been holding me back more than ever and I decided it was finally time to confront it.
