Oh hey there you thirsty little teacup back for more? Of course you are because it's tea time!

On this episode we take a deep dive into Mental Health, and more specifically we talk about grief and loss.

I talk about my own personal journey of the loss of my father, a different kind of grief, as it was someone who I never had in my life but still felt a different form of grief that I wasn't allowing myself to feel.

Please note that this episode could be triggering to anyone who has experienced the loss of a loved one, but know that you are not alone and all you ever have to do is reach out to your nearest and dearest.

In this episode I talk about "Mental Health" and how we can't stay stuck where we are, we need to be able to reach out and move away to take the necessary steps to improve our mental health.

I'm not a mental health professional and I can only draw upon my own experiences but it's so important to have these open conversations.

If you are struggling with your mental health or are looking for some resources then my recommendation would be to head over to mind.co.uk who offer some amazing services.

Introducing Laura Travena and Emilie Hulme!

Two amazing and strong minded women on one podcast!

First up is Laura, born and bred in Preston but lived in Scotland for 10 years. A wife, a sister, auntie, friend and the ultimate "girly girl". Laura lost her mum to breast cancer when she was 15 years old and has spent the last 21 years trying to deal with that and now at 36, she feels she's finally got a hold on who she is.

Emilie, Preston through and through, is an only child, wife to be - with a wedding that's been moved 3 times and she loves being outside and outdoors.

Emilie has had huge ups and downs with her mental health and has been let down by many people throughout her life.

Both Laura and Emilie know what it's like to break out of comfort zones and they both came onto the show to talk about their life experiences and how they have used the things that they have been through to help them grow and break free of those comfort zones.

Make sure that you go and check their podcast out www.what-comfort-zone.captivate.fm/listen and of course, as Laura quite rightly said - make sure that you are "copping a feel" and knowing your own body. For more information on breast cancer and to know what to look out for here is the link for the NHS website https://www.nhs.uk/common-health-questions/womens-health/how-should-i-check-my-breasts/

Though it may not be breast cancer awareness month anymore like it was at the time of recording this episode that doesn't mean that you shouldn't be doing what you can to help raise awareness and even donating where you can: https://www.cancer.org/cancer/breast-cancer.html and finally, if you want to check out the AMAZING - BCHQ make sure you head over to https://www.facebook.com/BodyconfidenceHQ/

Introducing Erik Raschke!

Erik is the author of two novels, many short stories and articles. He currently splits his time between Amsterdam and New York. His most recent novel, To The Mountain, is based on his experiences raising his autistic son.

Erik came on the show to talk about the sacrifices and commitments him and his family had to make just to get his autistic son an education. This was such a great episode from a personal level and, of course, for having such an amazing guest on the show.

My nephew has an extreme case of autism and his mum, Vicky (shout out to the family), really wanted me to do an episode around autism, and once I started speaking to people I realised that there is a whole lack of support for children who have autism and parents of autistic children. If I could use this platform that I have created to help make some form of change through education then that's what I shall do. This is why this episode was really important for me to do.

Erik was a perfect guest to have, capturing the very reasons why speaking about autism is needed. He has been a voice for his son, like many other parents of autistic children, for so long - even going as far as writing books talking about his experiences, and like him - many parents are fighting the fight for their child's voice to be heard.

To get more information on autism please head to the National Autistic Society website at; https://www.autism.org.uk/ . To get in touch with Erik you can head over to his website http://erikraschke.com/ AND you can find his books right here: http://erikraschke.com/books

This episode marked Spill It's first birthday!

I wanted to do something special to commemorate the first birthday of Spill It and so I reached out to Joey Cramer - star of the 1986 American Science Fiction Classic - Flight of the Navigator.

This film will always hold a special place in my heart as this was my favourite film growing up and David (played by Joey Cramer) was someone I wanted to be, flying around in a spaceship!

I'm so honoured to have spoken with Joey as we discussed his time on the film and life after the navigator, his documentary and more!

They say you should never meet your heroes, but I can honestly say that Joey was one of the most down to earth people I have ever met, had me thinking of my own life and more. An amazing guest, an amazing episode and I really hope that you enjoy this as mush as I did.

You can catch Joey over on his website https://www.joeycramer.com/ and of course you can check out the "life after" documentary over on his website too, as well as seeing when he will be appearing at upcoming comicons and more so make sure you check it out Navigators!

In this episode was joined by Hattie Rowe who you may recognise from TikTok!

Hattie has amassed over 40,000 followers on social media shining a light on MLM companies (multi level marketing) and showing how these types of companies need to be shown what they actually are - a glorified pyramid scheme.

From FM to Avon more and more of these companies have been crawling out of the woodwork, especially since lockdown, and have actually caused more people living in vulnerable positions to pay huge amounts to gain nothing back.

The Anti-MLM movement has gained lots of coverage and Hattie has been using her voice to not only expose these companies but also to understand the marketing behind them. Hattie has even purchased products to test on videos to further her cause.

We talked about the Anti-MLM movement, why people need to be more careful, how "do you want to be your own boss" doesn't mean what you think, the amount of hate that she has received from these "boss babes" and also the amount of people she has helped.

Welcome to the VERY FIRST Spill It Takeover featuring Matt Kin - the host of this episode.

I wanted to give people the opportunity to talk about whatever they wanted to talk about and host their very own Spill It show. Matt Kin is the first of the Takeover hosts and did an absolutely amazing job hosting his very first show. Matt wanted to speak to theatre practitioners Christopher Finnegan, Sam Dunstan and Peter Pearson from The Growth House UK who's core focus is on socially-conscious art, with the purpose of uplifting and empowering their audiences. They create personal, passionate and experimental live events that are part protest, part party and all theatre.

The Growth House is dedicated to giving a platform to young people to express themselves through creative means: a chance to call out to the world, tell it who they are, what they want, and how their ideas can change it for the better.

To contact The Growth House drop them an email Info@growthhouseuk.co.uk or to see more of their work head over to the website: www.growthhouse.co.uk . The video links used in the video can also be found on YouTube. "Our Man Frank Poem": https://youtu.be/AizqkxSXdKA and "The Crumble": https://youtu.be/gGpN0AKldmI . As you would agree, Matt Kin did an amazing job, to contact him you can head over and follow his insta page "@kinnyyyy" . Don't forget that The Growth House are hosting The Open House on Thursday 25th March at 18:30pm so make sure you email them to get yourself the links to join! This episode aired 10th March 2021.

In this episode I sat down with 'Endo-Warrior' Alexandra Smith to talk about her journey with endometriosis, a long-term condition where tissue similar to the lining of the womb grows in other places such as the ovaries and fallopian tubes causing pain in your lower tummy or back, severe period pain and pain during or after sex.

Alexandra and I CONNECTED by chance whilst both developing our coaching practices with an online workshop and I knew straight away that this was something that needed to be on the show. Alexandra is an Endo "coach", raising awareness of this debilitating, yet still widely unknown condition. She also helps people by offering support and resources as well as creating content that can help people with endometriosis who are suffering with pain, fatigue or weight gain to give back their life.

Alexandra is a true INSPIRATION. We talked about what it is like to live with endometriosis, and how it can affect your life and, more importantly, how you can LEARN how to not let it rule your life. Endometriosis Awareness Month started on March 1st 2021 and what a fitting episode!

You can see more of the work the Alexandra does by heading over to her link tree https://linktr.ee/EndoWarriorCoach . This live stream also featured a TikTok video from Chelsea Hart. She is such an inspirational person and you can follow her work by visiting her socials @chelseahartisme .

In this episode I got to sit down with the RuPauls Drag Race UK LEGEND that is Vinegar Strokes!

Ever wondered what Tina Turner, Lizzo and Kat Slater mixed into one person would be like? Me neither, but Drag Race UK contestant Vinegar Strokes has offered an answer anyway!

Vinegar says she’s a “proper London lady” and a straight-up comedy queen and she was kind enough to sit down with me and share all her stories for what an AMAZING episode of Spill It! Vinegar Strokes made it big when she walked through those doors of RuPauls Drag Race Season 1 and though she did not win, in her own words, "it's not what you do on the show, it's what you do afterwards that important".

Hey it's the new year! We made it! It's 2021!

Happy new year from me - your host of Spill It! With the recent UK lockdown I thought it would be a good episode where we just talk some st. In this episode I talk a little about how the year 2020 has gone for Spill It and in general and then I got to catch up with the super inspirational Gerard - from Andy's Man Club in Preston.

AMC do amazing work for men up and down the country to offer them a safe space to come and talk about their thoughts and feelings because men, statistically, find it harder to talk about their feelings and because of this - men's suicide rates are higher than other genders (That CURSED patriarchy!!!). Mental health is so important - especially at this time of year, and so having something like Andy's Man Club available is a GOD SEND.

During lockdown Dalton came up with the idea of giving away his toys to other children in the area for free. This turned into him raising money through donations to raise money for Blackpool Teaching Hospital!

His amazing work turned the heads of the BBC, MP's, supermarkets, toy shops, manufacturers and so many more and him and his mum came on the show to talk about everything he did and his efforts to raise so much money!

COVID restrictions had put a massive question mark over smaller businesses and especially around the Christmas period, it's usually a prime time for smaller businesses.

Jonathan has used his initiative and his excellent networking skills to build a "virtual Christmas market" for sellers around the UK to sell their products to people who are looking to buy from small businesses. Not only that, with a portion of the money made from the "virtual tables" he is donating to Derian House Children's Hospice.

This was such a great episode and Nathan was such a great guest to have on the show. His experiences of being in the public eye and having to come out, not once but twice! It was such a laugh and he is such a down to earth person and I'm so happy that he agreed to come on the show.

He sat in the hotseat to discuss "Wilderness Therapy" a practice which helps build success-oriented identities for clients by increasing self-concept, hope, internal locus of control, self-confidence, and improved interpersonal relationships and social skills. We also discussed his travelling blog, dangers of social media, and how changing your perspective can really help you to let go of things.

Wilderness therapy was somthing that I had NO IDEA about but knowing Luke, I knew it was going to be something amazing and I was right! It's now something that I'm very interested in and linking this type of therapy with the life coaching business I have.

In this episode I got to sit down and talk to the FABULOUS Rhys!

Rhys and I talked about body confidence, body issues and that inner saboteur that I talk about so often and how the smallest of comments can awaken the beast and make you feel awful about yourself!

This was an emotional episode, a memorable episode and one of my favourite ones as body confidence is something that I suffer with so much so it was great to be able to talk about this and dive into.

Speaking with Rhys woke some of my own feelings and together we have grown a lot closer to now great friends.

In this episode I wanted to go through a recap of all the epsidoes that we had done to this point.

Because the audience of Spill It grew so fast there would have been previous episodes that this new audience would have missed and so I thought a "previously on" episode would be a great filler episode.

I managed to catch up with Simon - a mind sleuth who showcases a unique brand of mystery entertainment, which utilises psychology, memory, thought reading and his own intuition to connect with, investigate and show power of the mind.

We talked about his story and journey with depression, with all the details and how he has taken control of it to help him as a mind sleuth and inspired him to perform his first stage show "Dear Insanity".

I THOROUGHLY enjoyed this episode, not just because of how cool Lightning McQueen is - but because on this episode I spoke with people from my chosen family, and it's always nice to have people I class as my family on thd show.

Myke and Emmy sat in the hotseat and told us about their adventures with Lightning McQueen. Lightning and Friends own a replica Lightning McQueen car, which they take to shows and comic-cons, visit children and try to raise money for charity organisations.

They continued their adventures through lockdown and beyond to keep putting smiles on people's faces for an amazing cause. You can see all the work that they've been doing AND get in touch with them with the following links: www.facebook.com/LightningAndFriendsUK and email lightningandfriendsuk@gmail.com .

In this episode I got to speak with Nathan, a rugby union and touch rugby player, PR and Comms officer AND assistant touch coach.

We talked all about his experiences coming to terms with his sexuality, mental health, depression, anxiety and how Inclusive Rugby has been helping Nathan through it all.

This was such a great episode and I commend Nathan for being so open and honest with us. The overall theme of this episode was for people to remember that You Are NOT alone. Reach out to someone, speak up, tell someone that you're not okay, or that you need help.

Nathan mentions in this episode about an organisation called "Minds Matter" who had helped him, there are lots of organisations out there but t=here is the one he mentioned: www.lscft.nhs.uk/mindsmatter make sure that you remember that you are not alone.

In this episode I did an "introductory" epsidoe of who I am.

After 6 episodes I realised that people were getting to know all my guests but they weren't getting to know me!

So this episode is all about me! A History, who I am, what I do, and some of my life lessons.

On this episode I sat down with the fabulous Davy Jones, lead singer of the band and the "Walking On Mountains", and amazing friend of mine.

We talked about the unsigned music scene and he shared his experiences with writing, recording and performing over the past 13 years. We also talked about the huge link between music and mental health!

Davy is such an inspirational person and this episode was very well received by many people. Davy is also one of the reasons that Spill It started! So here's a message from me to you Davy..."thank you, from the bottom of my heart for everything you have done and for being such a positive influence in my life".

On this episode I was joined by Rachael.

We talked all about wedding planning in the year 2020, a time where weddings have been cancelled, delayed and altered with the ever changing guidelines from the government. Planning a wedding is stressful as it is, throw in COVID in the mix and it's definitely not a great situation!

Rachael was so open with us with other aspects of her life and we wish her all the best for her future wedding day. It's definitely going to happen, and when that day does happen we will be happy for her to come back on the show and share her photos.

On this episode I spoke to an amazing friend of mine Matt.

He used Lockdown as an opportunity to explore what TikTok is all about and found a family with the "Purge Family" and took on the identity of "Purge Matt". We talked about TikTok fame, life in lockdown, and adjusting to life after lockdown and how people can make sure their kids are safe when using TikTok.

In this episode I am joined by the FABULOUS Cathy.

Cathy is an amazing human who I admire so much. She has been a great mentor and friend to me and has taught me so many life lessons that it was such a privilege to share this space with her.

We talked about the importance of helping each other, lifting each other up and how, with the power of community, you can change the lives of others. Kidz4Kidz community theatre company was also the topic of conversation, raising money for local children within the area of Lancashire, UK. This episode was such a favourite of mine and aired 8th July 2020 just before the Kidz4Kidz Virtual Show.
