In this episode I’m opening up a conversation around menopause and confidence. It’s a topic that I’ve been speaking about a lot in my personal life and work but we haven’t touched on here. I asked myself why? Why have I not talked about something that has coloured my daily life for the last 18 months and is still causing me daily difficulties? It’s complicated is the short answer. Unless you’ve had your head in the sand over the last couple of years you will have heard the wider conversation that is finally taking place about menopause. And if finally dawned on me – or rather I had a bit of a light bulb moment when I realised that I don’t need to be an expert in hormones or women’s health to be part of that conversation. I need to bring my expertise as a coach and my lived experience to the table. My lived experience combined with the conversations I’ve been party to and the expertise I have in helping women with their confidence.

It’s one of those things that is really common but when it’s happening to us we feel like we’re the only one going through it and if we’re not careful we’re undermining and second guessing ourselves at every step.
In this episode we’ll explore why this happens and what we can do to get us through this new starter stage feeling so it’s as painless as possible and you don’t end up feeling like an imposter. I share ten practical tips for getting through this confidence rollercoaster.

This episode, I delve into the topic of introversion, which is often misunderstood. Being an introvert myself, I can relate to the confusion surrounding this trait, and I've noticed that many of my clients also identify as introverts. Unfortunately, society tends to view introversion negatively and often implies that extroversion is the only path to success and happiness. In this episode, I would like to dispel some of these misconceptions and showcase the superpowers that introverts possess.

This episode goes live the day after International Women’s Day and as a coach specialising in helping women with their confidence I wanted to focus particularly on women this episode. The theme for this year’s celebration of International Women’s day is embracing equality by, amongst other things, celebrating women forging change, by elevating the visibility of women creatives and by building workplaces where women thrive.
This episode we’re going to explore some of the issues around how we treat each other, especially in the world of work and look at ways that we can make things better – starting with us. Because the only person any of us can truly change is ourselves! I will share five ways we can embrace equality and break the bias against women.

Over the last fifty plus episodes we’ve covered lots of topics to help us lead happier, more confident lives so it surprised me when I realised that we have never talked about today’s topic – self-worth. We’ve covered topics related to it but never looked at it on its own so that’s what we’re going to do today. Why? Because in my work with a counsellor after I finished cancer treatment it became apparent that I had a real issue with my self-worth. Embarrassing to admit as a confidence coach but also unsurprising giving what I’d just lived through. It’s also something that comes up regularly in my one-to-one work with clients.

This episode we are focusing on the importance of fun to a happy and healthy life. I was recently asked to consider how I could bring more fun into my life and realised that I was slightly stumped by the question. I struggled to identify how and when I allow myself to have fun. And as usual that got me thinking and noticing, and here we are with an episode devoted to the importance of having fun.
In this episode we are going to explore:

This time of year can be hard. Christmas is behind us and it seems a long way off until the clocks go forward and the days begin to get noticeably warmer and lighter. Decades ago a travel company came up with the gimmick of calling the third Monday in January blue Monday – supposedly the most miserable Monday of the year. Gimmick or not I know a lot of us feel a little blue on January Mondays as we head into the new working week. I have to confess that there have been January Mondays when, despite being in a job I loved, I started the day with a little cry at home! With this in mind I decided that this would be a great week for us to focus on being happier at work. So I’m sharing my 10 pretty simple ways for a happier and more confident you at work.

Like it or not, we are all changing all of the time but sometimes it takes a big life event – good or bad – or perhaps a big birthday – one with a zero on the end, for us to take stock and acknowledge that change and what it means for our life.
In this episode I will share some of my learnings about change and ways that we can learn to embrace it even if it’s been brought about by a life event we hadn’t planned, expected or wanted. I will leave you with 10 actions that have helped me and I know will help you too if you are going through major change.
What You’ll Learn:
What you can do to make change feel much easier and be easier to deal with
How to ask for help to process everything that you've been going through
What you can choose to do when you have to go through unwanted situations
10 things that have helped me to go through a major change
Sometimes I feel like it's one step forward and two steps back but I pick myself up again and carry on. If you've been through something huge recently, and you feel changed by it, know that it's normal. You're not the same. And that's okay.
I want to let you know that my calendar is currently open for Confidence Jumpstarts. This is for anyone feeling stuck or even hacked off by life right now.

Check in on yourself! When did you last eat or dink?

In this episode we’re exploring the power of play to light us up. It’s the beginning of November. The clocks have gone back and the nights are well and truly drawing in and I know that I’m not alone in being tempted to withdraw and hibernate as the weather worsens and the light retreats. But while I know that rest is important and I’m all for a bit of hygge, I also know that I still need to seek daily joy and things that energise and light me up if I want to feel like the best version of myself. The version of myself that has the energy and confidence to grow, thrive and enjoy life.
In this episode we’ll explore
The benefits of play
What it means to let go and have fun and play
The different play personalities and how play looks different to each of us
The importance of making time for play
Have a think about what things are playful to you. Make time to play for being playful and remember that it's okay if the things that are fun and playful to you aren't to everyone else. Get to know yourself on what you enjoy. Encourage those around you to play and have fun to in whatever way is playful for them. See it as part of your self care, giving yourself the time to be playful.

In August I celebrated nine years of self-employment. It has been nine years since I listened to my inner wisdom and made the leap from employment to working for myself. And it was a big leap. I was sick of redundancies and layoffs and wanted to take back control. As I reflected on those nine years, I realised that I've learnt a lot of confidence lessons that are worth sharing whether you have your own business, are considering self-employment or are happily employed.
In this episode I will share my top six confidence lessons that you can apply to your own life
What You’ll Learn:
Why you need to learn to trust your wise self
How to value yourself and what you offer
What you get by being comfortable talking about money
What it means to get comfortable being uncomfortable
Why to stop treating networking like a dirty word
Why it’s important to celebrate your successes big and small
I know these lessons work because I applied all six of them to my new venture and it made life a lot easier than it would have been. I still had to get out of my comfort zone into the stretch zone, but these lessons stood me in good stead for a solid start to a new venture. So choose to apply some of these lessons to your own circumstances.

It’s October and so it’s breast cancer awareness month and I thought it would be a good opportunity to share my learnings from being diagnosed and treated. What has this got to do with confidence? More than you would think- I promise you.
This episode we’ll talk about the importance of checking your breasts monthly and the five lessons I learnt that will help you too! One in two of us will get cancer in our lifetime which means that the majority of us will at some point have someone close to us going through cancer treatment. I hope that these five lessons will help you navigate your way through.
What You’ll Learn:
How often you should be checking your breasts and where to find instructions
Why being there for the person who needs you is far more important than having the right thing to say
The importance of asking for help and accepting it
Why letting go of the guilt is a life lesson for all of us at all times
How changes that cancer treatment caused to your body can knock your confidence
Know your body. Go and get anything unusual for you checked out. It could save your life.

This episode I’m diving straight in with a challenging question for us all – are you being truly you? Are you being the you that you really want to be or the you that you think is expected of you by family, friends, colleagues, society?
I’m asking because I realised during my many weeks of enforced convalescence that I’m not.
What You’ll Learn in This Episode:

A reminder of why you should let go of people pleasing and how to do it

What You Will Learn In This Episode:
Why you should let go of some of the things on your to do lists

I want to share 4 books that have enriched my life and made me think about what it takes to be happy and content. Since there are lots of little gems on my blog to help you to grow confidence, clarity and courage in very concrete ways, I'll also point you to some of my own writing.
My Blogs:
- It’s the little transformations that make a massive difference “It’s not all about massive transformations, little transformations make a massive difference!”
One of my clients said this and it really got me thinking. My client hit the nail on the head. It is those little transformations – the changes in your thinking, behaviour and understanding of yourself - that added together make a massive difference to life.https://clarewalshcoaching.com/new-blog/its-the-little-transformations-that-make-a-massive-difference
- Worrying about what other people think. There are lots of things that hold us back from doing what we really want to do but the one that comes up so often in coaching sessions is worrying about what other people think.
https://clarewalshcoaching.com/new-blog/worrying-about-what-other-people-think-1
- September - Lets’s take action – it doesn’t matter what time of year it is – in the words of one reader “it’s like a free coaching session”! https://clarewalshcoaching.com/new-blog/september-lets-take-action
- Why do we procrastinate? Lots of people think that procrastination is a form of laziness but in fact when we keep putting off the thing we want or need to do it’s rarely because we’re lazy.https://clarewalshcoaching.com/new-blog/why-do-we-procrastinate

This episode is all about letting go of the limiting beliefs we all carry around with us, and replacing them with empowering ones.
We carry around beliefs like:
I’m shy
I never finish anything
I’m not clever
I’m boring
I’m not creative
I’m really bad at public speaking
I’m no good in a crisis
And they disempower us. They hold us back.
So today I share my own experience in changing a limiting belief I carried around as my truth for decades, and I also share the experience of one of my clients, taking you through the same method we both used to shift our thinking and beliefs and create real change in our lives.
In this episode you will learn:
how to recognise these beliefs
how to question your "evidence" of their truth
how to formulate an empowering alternative belief
how to recognise that this is your truth and to start to believe and live it on a daily basis

This episode is all about the importance of forgiving yourself. The theme was prompted by a Guardian headline. It quoted the journalist John Simpson saying, “Like most men, I am amazingly good at forgiving myself.” And that really got me thinking about myself and the women in my life. Are we amazingly good at forgiving ourselves? Are you?
In This Episode You Will Learn:
What self-forgiveness is and its benefits
Why we find it hard to forgive ourselves
The limitations of self-forgiveness
The four-step process to self-forgiveness
It's time women too can say we are good at self-forgiveness. And if you find this episode helpful, please rate and review the podcast and help other listeners find it!

This episode we are exploring values. I'm a great believer that by living a life that is fully aligned with our values we can be happier and more confident. But, how many of us really stop and think about what our values are and which are most important to us?
This episode will help you to answer those questions.

Instead of “fake it till you make it”, I prefer “act the way you want to feel”. That way I'm not pretending or faking anything, it's still the real me, not me pretending to be something I'm not, or trying to be like someone else. So how do we manage this?
What You Will Learn In This Episode:
When and how to soothe your inner critic
How to practise getting into the state of feeling confident and relaxed
What happens when you become capable of embodying how you feel
I hope that I've inspired you to act the way you want to feel. It makes a big difference and you have nothing to lose by trying.

Today I’m talking about what your envy can teach you. By envy, I don't mean the potentially destructive feelings of jealousy. I'm talking about the feelings of discontent that envy throws up.
What You Will Learn In This Episode:
How extremely uncomfortable emotion of envy can show you what you want
Why you should examine your feelings of envy whenever they arise
Why you should take a little time to sit with the uncomfortable feeling
The questions to ask to find out what your envy is trying to teach you
Once you have identified what's making you envious, make sure you start with small steps and take action. There's no point identifying what we want if we don't actually move into action.

Do you tell yourself and others that you're a people pleaser?
I hear people equate being people pleaser to being a nice person, a decent friend, a kind person, a loving, caring human being. All of these are lovely things, but I would argue that you can be every one of those things without having to label yourself as a people pleaser.
What You Will Learn In This Episode:
What's wrong with being a people pleaser?
How to stop being a people pleaser
How you could describe yourself instead of saying I'm a people pleaser
Rethinking your values and setting your boundaries
How to get comfortable with feeling uncomfortable
You can have boundaries and say no to the things that you neither have the time or the energy for and still be caring. You can be authentically you without offending other people. Stop giving yourself the 'I'm a people pleaser' label and choose something more empowering. Remember that every time you say yes to something, you're saying no to something else.

I'm a great believer in owning up to my mistakes and making a genuine and heartfelt apology if I've hurt someone, done something wrong or let someone down. I'm also a great believer in manners, but why then have I called this episode “Is it time to stop saying sorry”?
What You Will Learn In This Episode:
How to use guilt in a constructive way
Why you should ask for all the help that you need and not feel guilty about it or apologise for it
How to adopt a daily practice to reframe your feelings of fear from guilt to gratitude
How to practice self-awareness of how we're thinking, how we're behaving and how we're speaking
What a more helpful way to see things is instead of feeling guilty about everything
There is no such thing as perfection. All you can ever do is your best. And your best is the best in your unique and particular circumstances each day.
Make an effort to catch yourself before you say sorry. It will feel a little odd and even uncomfortable at first, but do it consistently and often, and you will create healthier habits for yourself and those around you.

In this episode I want to talk about an action that has helped me immensely over the last few years to build the life that I desire; a life where I take action that builds confidence and is fully aligned with my values. That action is setting my intention or word for the year.
What You Will Learn In This Episode:
How setting an intention for a whole year works and the benefit of that practice
How to choose the word or phrase for our intention for the year
What steps to take after choosing the word/phrase
Different ways to create a visual reminder of your intention
It is so easy to get swept up in day-to-day living and lose track of what we want and need from life. It builds your confidence when you show up for yourself. Think about what your hopes are for the year. Brainstorm those words to see which ones speak to you the most, and then implement some of the tips I've suggested in this episode. And of course, enjoy the process and the outcome!

This is a very special episode, as it's the first birthday of the podcast. Today I'd like to share what I've loved and what I've learned, and remind you of some of the things that we've learned together.
What You Will Learn In This Episode:
Why you need to start before you're ready
The value of taking action to build confidence
Delegation is key to a happy and balanced life
The importance of enjoying the journey
Letting go of perfectionism
Cultivating the belief that you are enough
How to take control of your inner critic
You are enough exactly as you are. You don't have to do everything or be everything to everyone to either be enough or to be perfect. Take some time to notice your thoughts and choose to take control. Remember, you shouldn't be talking to yourself in a way that you wouldn't speak to someone you love and respect.

Today we're going to talk about the importance of enjoying the journey. So often we can't wait to hit our goals, but we barely take a moment to enjoy our journey and to celebrate it before we start thinking about the next thing.
What You Will Learn In This Episode:
How to find ways to be happy now
Why you need to remind yourself of everything you have to be grateful for
How to make sure that you are present in the moment
Finding things to anticipate and enjoy regularly so enjoying becomes a part of normal life
Remembering your values and how those values show up in your life as you work towards your big goal
It's time to get our heads out of the future or the past because that's where anxiety and regret live, and get present in the moment. However you do it, I encourage you to be intentional and think about what you want to experience. Don't be the one who's too busy with living to actually live your life.

When we are resilient, we're able to pick ourselves up from life's inevitable knocks and difficult times when we may naturally be feeling less than positive. So what, actually, is resilience?
What You Will Learn In This Episode: - What resilience is not
What to do to make sure we become more resilient
Four pillars for building resilience
How to resist isolating ourselves when life is hard
The importance of looking after ourselves all of the time
How to build up the habit of thinking in a healthy and productive way
When we have the ability to recover from something unpleasant, it means that we've stored up the mental and physical capacity to do it. Realising that we can cope with a change, we can actually enjoy it and thrive because of it. Then we have the reserves that enable us to get through the difficult times, to bounce back and even grow from the experience.

Positivity is something that we can see and hear about all the time. While I think that being positive is great and has many benefits, there is also a darker side to positivity - a toxic positivity.
What You Will Learn In This Episode: - What toxic positivity is and why it should be avoided
Why it is essential to allow yourself and others to feel all the feelings
How its possible to experience negative or hard feelings and still have a positive outlook on life
The benefits of having a positive outlook on life
Living a full life means that we are going to experience the full range of emotions. We all need to be allowed to be ourselves, to feel our way through life and the circumstances we find ourselves in. When we cultivate a positive attitude, it means that we acknowledge our feelings and the negative things in our life, but we don't get stuck in them.

This week, I want to talk about acting with courage and the importance of bravery in our lives.
I am talking about calculated risk, not being reckless. These are actions like setting boundaries and starting to say no to people, whether at work or home, asking for what they really need rather than pretending everything's all right.
What You Will Learn In This Episode:
How we build our confidence through taking action rather than waiting to feel confident
What it means to be brave
Why acknowledgement from close people and little celebrations mean so much to us
What happens when you fail to be brave
You will not wake up with unshakable confidence one day, it will take action after action after action. Ask for help and support if you need it. And every single time you're brave and take some courageous action, no matter how small, celebrate it!

Today we're going to dive deep into a topic I raised back in Episode 21 - finding your WHY.
Have you ever sat down and really given some thought to why you do what you do and why you want what you want? If you haven't, then of course, I'm going to suggest that you do. And if you have, I'm suggesting that you make sure you've really dug down below the surface.
Think about what you value. Values are who we are. They're not who we like to be, or who we think we should be. Values are who I am right now in my life. Values represent our unique and individual essence. They're how we relate to the world. And when we honor our values regularly and consistently, then life is good and fulfilling.
Your WHY should be deeply and firmly rooted in your values. The more it is, the stronger it will be. And the stronger it is, the more likely it is that you will keep going when life gets tough.
Think about what it is that you want to achieve, what you want to be, or to do, or to have, and dig deep into your WHY. Have fun with it. You'll learn lots about yourself and hopefully get really excited about your future.

It's my birthday this week. For me a birthday is a time to reflect and to celebrate. In this episode we're going to do both. I will remind you of some of the many things we've learned over the last 22 episodes so we can celebrate together.
What You Will Learn In This Episode:
Why the question How did you celebrate? often surprises people
The importance of taking a moment to acknowledge and celebrate what you achieved
The power of stopping on a bad day and asking What do I need right now?
The importance of trusting yourself and believing that you are enough
Remember to do something to mark your little wins - something that makes you feel good in the moment, but that also serves as a reminder of how far you've come. That will keep you going when life throws you curveballs.

The theme for this episode is how to deal with criticism and praise from others. This is a juicy topic that I am very happy to talk about, as what other people think of us can have a huge impact on our confidence, self-worth and self-esteem.
What You Will Learn In This Episode:
how to detach your sense of self-worth and confidence levels from what other people think of you whether in the form of criticism or praise
that your opinion of yourself is the one that matters!
how to treat yourself with compassion and deal with criticism in a proactive way
that the only measure we should be using is our best in our current and unique circumstances
the importance of reflecting on your day each night
I want you to reflect every single night before you go to sleep on what's gone well, as well as what hasn't. Ask yourself if you did your best in your particular circumstances that day. Every time the answer is yes, give yourself a pat on the back. And when it's no, treat yourself with compassion, and ask how you can do better next time and then move on. Remember that those circumstances change daily. Choose to be proactive and make progress.

Whether you've been away this year, or have spent your summer in your own garden or local park, it's often a time when we stop and consider our lives and what we want just like we do over Christmas and New Year's holiday. And as such September feels like the other New Year - a chance for a fresh start.
Are you clear about what you want, and what you need to do to get where you want to be? Are you taking action?
What You Will Learn In This Episode:
The importance of being clear on what you want to achieve, and by when
Why you should work backwards from the date you want to achieve something by
Identifying resources you already have that can help you
Working out what your next stepping stone is, and how you're going to move forward to it
How to keep yourself accountable even on dark, cold days
How to recognise who would be a great support for you
Finding exactly WHY you want to achieve what you want
Why it is so important to share your WHY with others
The main thing is to keep taking action and to keep moving forward. Make sure that your main goal is broken down into monthly and weekly goals, so that you can't keep putting off action. Tell other people what it is that you're trying to achieve, and be clear about what you need from them. Be intentional and take action.

In this episode, I'm going to share some resources and tips that have helped me and my clients build confidence.
What You Will Learn In This Episode:
Why a book or a walk is powerful when you feel low energy and low mood, whilst your mind is racing
What does rest have to do with confidence?
Why delegating work is such a good investment
The power ofTell me more phrase
Sources of happiness, how you can even buy it sometimes
Checking in with yourself and your needs
We often attach our self-worth and self-confidence to being useful, doing something productive, or being of service to others. However, the day comes when we realise that we just can't carry on that way any more. We need to rest, as rest is as essential as sleep; and not only do we need to rest more, but rest better.

This is Episode 3 of a three-part series looking into the type of situations and issues my clients bring to our sessions. Today the focus is on the artists and creatives that have come to me for support.
What You Will Learn In This Episode:
Where the self-doubt about your right to call yourself a professional comes from
What right you have to charge for your work
What difference a qualification makes and how pursuing one can actually be a form of procrastination!
The importance of setting boundaries in your home life
How learning to aim for progress rather than perfection can serve you
In order to better illustrate the issues I talked about in this episode, I've lifted the anonymity for two of my clients this week, Emma and Eve, with their permission. I wanted to be able to share their work with you and where you can find them, as well as their stories.

Why person specification should be a part of your interview preparation
Why we should be celebrating all our wins, big and small

I believe that walking is transformative for our minds, not just our bodies. And, keeping our minds in good working order is very important if we want to lead a happy, confident life.
What You Will Learn In This Episode:
Walking as taking a rest
How walking enables you to start noticing the world around you more
Wisdom on walking from books and research
Getting out for that daily walk can help you think better, especially if you can walk in a natural environment. So take that walk in the park near your office, or on the way home from the school run, especially if you need to solve a problem.

Realising that you’re not in control of everything, and moving into what you can control mode
How help can come from surprising quarters
Why you need to do the things that scare you and act with courage
Managing being alone and keeping occupied

None of us arrived on this planet thinking that we weren't enough. But as we grow, as we're influenced by family, friends, teachers, the media, suddenly that I'm not enough belief is beginning to appear.
The therapist and speaker Marisa Peer says that I am enough is a statement of fact. Every single person on the planet by virtue of their existence is enough and is worthy of love. But why is it so important for our minds to accept, rather than reject this belief?
What You Will Learn In This Episode:
Why we worry that if we were to believe we are enough, it will make us arrogant
How to cultivate the belief that we are enough
How to remind our brain that we are enough
The example of what difference it makes when you believe you are enough
To quote Marisa Peer again, once you know that you are enough, you won't sit back. You will acquire a drive to build the full and loving life, family and career that you know is yours for the taking. Because you will know with unshakable conviction that you deserve it and are worthy of it. And who doesn't want that?

Do you believe in luck? Are you someone who classes yourself as lucky or unlucky, or you're surrounded by people who tell you that you're lucky or that you're unlucky? Let's dig into this belief!
What You Will Learn In This Episode:
What effect creates believing that you aren't lucky
The ways we make our own luck most of the time
Becoming aware that we have far more control over things than we give ourselves credit for
What steps you can make if you consider yourself to be lucky
Tell yourself that you're lucky, and your mind will present you with evidence of that being true. Tell yourself that you aren't lucky, and that's the evidence that your brain will produce for you.
Listen to your inner wisdom and do your best. It takes practice.

Today I want to talk about being more enthusiastic about receiving compliments, and how accepting them can build your confidence.
What You Will Learn In This Episode:
How to look upon compliments as gifts and not doubt the fact that you deserve them
Why we usually contradict or ignore when people compliment us
The importance of accepting compliments
How deflecting compliments can undermine your confidence and make you appear less confident to those around you
Be honest with yourself. Do you throw every compliment back because you're suspicious of the reason for it? Do you accept compliments, but you're concerned that people will think you're full of yourself? Or do you accept most compliments with a smile and thanks, and you believe them? Learning to accept compliments is an important step in believing that you are enough.

In this episode I want to share one of my core beliefs that has got me through many challenges - the belief that I can make it work when faced with a lack of funds, shortage of time or something new and unknown. I believe wholeheartedly that I'll find a way.
What You Will Learn In This Episode:
How having the belief that you can make it work makes you more creative
What a “could do” list is, and how it helps you come up with new options
The connection between confidence and trust
How trusting yourself to do the hard things helps build “I can make it work” attitude
I encourage you to reflect on your successes every single day. Take a few minutes before you go to sleep to reflect positively on your day. Remind yourself of the moments when you showed up for yourself and for others, of every win big and small, and of every time that you did make it work.

I can't believe we've reached 10 episodes already!
I wanted to mark reaching double digits with something a little different this week. Rather than having a big topic, I'm sharing some hints and tips along with some of my favourite books that have helped me and my clients with confidence over the last few years.
In this episode I share some of my top tips for building confidence:
If there's a job or task that can be done in under a minute, then just do it
If you're going into another room of your house, have a quick scan around to see if anything needs to be moved from there into another room and do it right away
If you're feeling anxious, take a moment to ask yourself: what is happening right now, in this moment, in this room, here with me
Make some time for yourself today

How often do you catch yourself saying that you're really bad at saying no? This week, I've chosen a topic that got the women taking part in my free Grow Your Confidence Challenge very animated - how to say no with confidence and let go of that guilt.
What You Will Learn In This Episode:
Know that saying no can be hard at first, but remember that action does build confidence. The more you do it, the easier it will get, and your comfort zone for saying no will get bigger and bigger.

Today we're talking about procrastination. Many of us ask ourselves why we put off the things we know we need to do, and even the things we want to do! We all procrastinate at times, including me, but why do we do it, and what can we do to stop it?
What You’ll Learn in This Episode:
Procrastination can be far more exhausting than actually taking the action. So do yourself a favour and find a way to address the underlying cause of the procrastination, and then move into action. Your future self will thank you for it.
Resources:
This week we talk about letting go of perfectionism, and freeing ourselves from the burden of being perfect. If we feel confident only when we're perfect, it's holding us back, it is a confidence killer. We can't raise our confidence unless we're willing to stop trying to be perfect, and here is how.
The Five Steps to Let Go of Perfectionism:
I'm aware that I may very well be asking you to change the habits of decades of perfectionism. It's not going to happen overnight, but if you commit to doing these five things you will get there. And remember that you're not meant to be perfect. Happy, confident people are those who aim to be the best they can be.

Now it's more important than ever to be kind to ourselves. But so many of us women are kind to everyone else except ourselves. What would happen if we replaced that mean negative voice with a loving supportive one? Let's tame that inner critic!
What You Will Learn in This Episode:
I encourage you to start a conversation with your inner critic, and start replacing the negative statements about yourselves with positive ones.

I'm a great believer in celebrating, not just the big things like birthdays, Christmas and New Year but everything. A fun part of my job as a coach is hearing about my clients’ successes. If a woman is a step closer to the life she wants to lead, then that is worth celebrating.
What You Will Learn in This Episode:
We shouldn't wait until we hit our end goal before we take time to stop and celebrate. Let’s get into the habit of celebrating little wins too. It doesn't have to be costly or time consuming, just do something for you that reinforces the message that you're doing a great job.

How many of us get to midlife, and we look at what we've got, often it's exactly what we've asked for, exactly what we've worked so hard to get, but we feel empty, and it just isn't enough?
It's not that we don't love our families, or that we're ungrateful for what we have, but life has lost that spark. We've lost our spark, and we feel guilty for wanting more.
But we shouldn't feel guilty for wanting a life that makes us excited for the week ahead.
I believe that the foundation stone to us creating the life that makes us feel really fulfilled, the life that is grounded in our values and lightens us up is our CONFIDENCE.
I’m Clare Walsh, a confidence coach who specialises in helping women unlock their confidence, clarity and courage to change their lives.
