The Letters of Dennis Ford tells the true story of an Irish immigrant, a father, and a soldier who fought through some of the deadliest battles of the American Civil War.
Through his own words—letters written from camps, battlefields, and captivity—we follow Dennis Ford’s journey from working-class laborer to war survivor.
He fought at Antietam and Fredericksburg.
He was captured three times.
He made it home.
But the war never truly left him.
This is not just a war story.
It’s the story of a man… and what it cost him.
Dennis Ford served in the 28th Massachusetts Infantry, one of the core regiments of the famous Irish Brigade in the Union Army.
The Irish Brigade was composed largely of Irish immigrants and became known for its discipline, courage, and extremely high casualties.
They fought in some of the most intense battles of the Civil War, including:
The 28th Massachusetts earned a reputation for fighting at the front lines, often taking the heaviest fire.
Like many soldiers in the brigade, Dennis Ford endured repeated combat, loss of fellow soldiers, and the physical and psychological toll of continuous warfare.
His experience reflects that of the Irish Brigade as a whole—resilient, battle-tested, and marked by sacrifice.

In this episode we are joined by Historian Matt Borders to discuss The Battle of Antietam.
Matt discusses the Battle of Antietam, which occurred on September 17, 1862, near Sharpsburg, Maryland. Matt provided a comprehensive overview of the battle, explaining Robert E. Lee's strategic reasons for invading northern Maryland and the tactical movements of both Confederate and Union forces. He detailed the three phases of fighting, focusing on the morning attacks in the cornfield, the afternoon battle around the sunken road (known as Bloody Lane), and the southern end fighting around Burnside Bridge. The discussion covered key units like the Irish Brigade and the Iron Brigade, as well as the challenging terrain and weather conditions that affected the battle. Brian shared information about a local soldier from Haverhill, Massachusetts who served in the 28th Massachusetts Regiment and wrote letters home describing his experiences. The conversation concluded with Matt explaining Antietam's significance as a turning point in the Civil War, allowing for the Emancipation Proclamation that changed the war's focus from preserving the Union to ending slavery.

In this episode, I sit down with my son, Gavin, for a real and relaxed conversation centered around the NFL playoffs. We break down how the postseason is unfolding so far, share our predictions, and talk through which teams we think have what it takes to go the distance.
Along the way, the conversation goes beyond just wins and losses — it’s about perspective, watching the game together, and seeing how opinions form when you talk things out instead of just reacting.
It’s part football breakdown, part real conversation, and a moment we were excited to capture and share.
Thanks for listening.

In this moving episode of The Three Guys Podcast, we step into history through one family’s story of courage, loss, and remembrance.
Staff Sergeant Robert K. Dean, served in the 143rd Infantry Regiment of the 36th Infantry Division during World War II. In January 1944, he was killed in action during the infamous attempt to cross the Rapido River near Cassino, Italy — one of the war’s most tragic and heroic battles.
He left behind his wife, Agnes, and their eight-month-old son, never knowing the generations his sacrifice would inspire. Nearly eighty years later, his granddaughter stood at his resting place in the Sicily-Rome American Cemetery, honoring a man she never met but whose courage continues to echo through time.
For his valor and service, Staff Sergeant Dean was awarded the Silver Star, Purple Heart, Combat Infantryman Badge, World War II Victory Medal, American Campaign Medal, Distinguished Unit Citation, Good Conduct Medal, and the European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal.
This episode blends battlefield history, family reflection, and the emotional power of visiting a hero’s grave — reminding us that remembrance is not just about the past, but how it shapes who we are today.
“Time will not dim the glory of their deeds.” – Gen. John J. Pershing
🎧 Listen as The Three Guys share Melanie’s journey, the story of Staff Sergeant Dean, and the enduring courage of the 36th Infantry Division on the banks of the Rapido River.

Bunker Hill Beard Company is a small family-owned business that is based out of Historic Massuchusetts where we believe in heritage, history, loyalty and hard work. Our work ethic shows in everything we do, and in everything we say. We take what we do very seriously, and we give it are all without a second though because we are born with it, it is in us from birth.
Being from New England and Massachusetts all of our lives my family and myself know what it is like to live and work in a region of the country known for its history and bravery, so we thought it would pay tribute to those before us by naming the company after one of the most famous battles of the revolution, and by doing so carry a theme across the product spectrum that conveyed how proud we are to represent our heritage.
All of our products are handmade with all natural ingredients so we can provide a great quality product that we hope meets and surpasses the competition. Just like an army needs to be one cohesive unit acting as one force to win, so do our blends that don't have one ingredient that overpowers another but instead blend together to form a complete product that is both appealing but also long lasting. We want to offer unique blends carefully crafted by our own Mixmaster to stimulate your senses and get your beard ready for its daily battle.
We do indeed want to start a revolution in the beard care arena, so the only question is will you enlist and join us in battle?
Thank You

About Salisbury Beach Partnership:
What We DoAbout Us – Salisbury Beach Events and Festivals
MOVING SALISBURY BEACH FORWARD
Here’s how we are making a difference
The Salisbury Beach Partnership advocates for:
In 2019, after an exhaustive search for the original Salisbury Beach Broadway Flying Horses, the Salisbury Beach Partnership purchased an antique Looff-Mangels carousel from the Winterstein Family, the carousel’s original, and only, owner. The 3-row carousel was created by the same artisans who carved and built the original carousel, which once called Salisbury’s Broadway Mall home. Sadly, the original carousel that entertained visitors to Salisbury Beach up until the late ‘70s was unable to be authenticated, changing the trajectory of national the search and led the Partnership to Harvey’s Lake, Pennsylvania where the well-maintained carousel resided.

They World's Columbian Exposition, also known as the Chicago World's Fair, was a world's fair held in Chicago from May 5 to October 31, 1893, to celebrate the 400th anniversary of Christopher Columbus's arrival in the New World in 1492.[1] The centerpiece of the Fair, held in Jackson Park, was a large water pool representing the voyage that Columbus took to the New World. Chicago won the right to host the fair over several competing cities, including New York City, Washington, D.C., and St. Louis. The exposition was an influential social and cultural event and had a profound effect on American architecture, the arts, American industrial optimism, and Chicago's image.

Humbled to be a part of a great team as we embark on growing a small local family brand across the United States and abroad with custom made, ready-to-order ice cream. Chill-N Nitrogen Ice Cream has a mission to serve happiness to our local communities, one cup at a time. Visit us at https://www.chillnicecream.com/
Traditional ice cream manufacturers produce ice cream in batches of thousands of gallons and dump multiple 5-gallon pails of “base flavoring”, an artificially engineered flavoring substance, into each batch.
Miami-based Chill-N Nitrogen Ice Cream was one of the first liquid nitrogen ice cream shops in the country. We make our ice cream with liquid nitrogen because it undoubtedly makes a better product. A Chill-N Nitrogen Ice Cream batch is only 6 or 8 ounces and we use raw inputs as flavoring, on demand. That is, we freeze and flavor every serving as it’s ordered, right in front of you. We use real Nutella, real peanut butter, real Dulce de Leche, and the result will leave you never wanting traditional ice cream again.

Amy worked with her partners in Maine to design the “right mix” of glide, absorption, scents, and organic ingredients, to develop Amy’s Own CBD Oil. This high-quality CBD oil and its components provide a beautiful experience whether used during a 60-minute massage, applied directly on an ache or pain, or supporting wellness for women by enhancing pleasure and easing discomfort.

Our Story: Brewing Dreams with Octave Coffee
Twenty years ago, a simple vision took root—a vision of a coffee bar where people could gather, share their stories, and find solace in a cup of coffee. In that vision, I saw a man, burdened with life's troubles, finding comfort and community in a welcoming space. Today, Octave Coffee marks the beginning of that heartfelt journey.
A Vision Unfolding
Octave Coffee started as a dream—an idea that transcended mere coffee beans and roasts. It's the embodiment of that vision, where coffee would be more than just a drink; it would be a conduit for connection, compassion, and change.
A Commitment to Something Bigger
We believe that Octave Coffee is destined for something greater. With Faith as our foundation, the support of our family, and the unwavering commitment of our customers, we aspire to transform Octave Coffee into more than a source for great coffee.
A Commitment to Something Bigger
We believe that Octave Coffee is destined for something greater. With Faith as our foundation, the support of our family, and the unwavering commitment of our customers, we aspire to transform Octave Coffee into more than a source for great coffee.
Music and coffee both have the remarkable ability to evoke deep emotions and cherished memories. Depending on the genre of music playing or the flavor of the roast in your cup, the range of feelings and thoughts can be as vast as the spectrum of the human experience. A warm sip of coffee or the melody of a favorite song can ignite long-forgotten memories, instill a sense of calm, or fill us with excitement and closeness.
At Octave Coffee, we believe in celebrating the beauty, excellence, and love that both music and coffee can bring into our lives. Our mission is to help you discover and savor the essence of exceptional coffee. We invite you to experience the harmonious blend of flavors in every cup and find fulfillment in the simple joys of life (Philippians 4:8).
Our Vision for the Future
As we embark on this journey, we look to the future with hope and determination. Octave Coffee will evolve into a place where stories are shared, burdens are lightened, and lives are touched. We dream of expanding beyond the digital realm, creating physical spaces where people can find respite, connection, and community over a cup of Octave Coffee.
Join Us on This Journey
We invite you to be a part of this vision. With every purchase, you're not just enjoying exceptional coffee; you're helping us move closer to our dream of fostering connection and making a positive impact in the lives of others.
Thank you for being a part of Octave Co

The Toy Chest at The Nutshell is an amazing addition to an already fabulous store!
In 2007, our very own customers who had enjoyed shopping at The Nutshell in Milton for over 30 years kept saying…. ”we want more and we need more – We want one stop shopping.”
We thought about this for a while and it ended up making a lot of sense. Educational and Specialty toys became a natural offshoot of our existing business of fine specialty clothing. When the space became available to open a real toy store, rather than just have a few shelves of toys in our existing store – we created The Toy Chest at The Nutshell.
We are one store conveniently located in the Milton Marketplace in East Milton Square. We have lots of free parking and plenty of knowledgeable staff to help you in any way.https://www.miltontoychest.com/

Part 2 - Matt jumps into heavy excerpts from soldiers of the Civil War. Derek somehow takes us from a super heavy conversation to the Brady Bunch and Jesse James. We get back on track where Matt takes us from the months and days leading up to the Battle of Gettysburg, and then breaks down the battle that took place on July 1-3 of 1863. There is a quick discussion of Daniel Sickles and where his leg is today.
Matt Callery:
Growing up in New Jersey, Matt’s fascination with history began at a very young age. Family trips to historic sites often included Civil War locations, with Gettysburg being a favorite. Over the years, Matt developed considerable skills in video and audio production. A fan of Howard Stern, Matt’s early efforts were to create material for his own podcast centered on pop culture topics. Having visited Gettysburg in his childhood, he later moved there, and went to work leading battlefield bicycle tours. Sometime later, he returned to New Jersey but it didn’t take long for him to feel something drawing him back to Pennsylvania. So, he came back to make Gettysburg his home. A lifelong friend and fellow “history nerd” encouraged Matt to combine his love of history with his talents in studio production to create a podcast about Gettysburg. And so in 2019, with raw enthusiasm, a knack for making interesting conversation, and a makeshift studio, Matt launched the Addressing Gettysburg podcast. He’ll be the first to tell you that it has been a team effort and that he’s grateful for the support of many wonderful people along the way.
Addressing Gettysburg:
History is not boring!
That is our mantra. Our goal is to bring the historic reality of the Battle of Gettysburg and the experiences of the soldiers and civilians to the masses in a comprehensive, immersive and entertaining way. We think this is the most compelling and important chapter of American history, and we want to show you why.

On this episode we are joined by Historian and National Park Service Ranger Matt Borders. Matt provides a wonderful breakdown of the American Civil War. He takes us step by step providing a clear detailed breakdown of the issues that led to the war. Matt then takes us on the journey starting in 1860 where South Carolina secedes from the Union, followed by additional Southern States secession at the start of 1861, to the Confederates firing upon Fort Sumter, kicking off the Civil War. He then goes year by year breaking down some of the key battles during the Civil War, key figures during the war including Abraham Lincoln, Ulysses S. Grant, Robert E. Lee, George Meade, and the spy network that existed on both the Union and Confederate sides. He then takes us to the Battle of Appomattox ultimately leading to Robert E. Lee’s signing the document of surrender. From there he covers the assassination of Abraham Lincoln and the post-war. We then talked to Matt about several books he co-authored including Faces of Union Soldiers at Antietam, Faces of Union Soldiers at Culp’s Hill, and Faces of Union Soldiers at South Mountain and Harpers Ferry.

The Central Artery/Tunnel Project, known as the "Big Dig," was one of the most remarkable engineering feats and roadway construction projects in history. The Rose Kennedy Greenway is a prominent feature. The Leonard P. Zakim Bunker Hill Memorial Bridge is a Boston icon and landmark, both a result of the Big Dig. The transformation of Spectacle Island from a city garbage dump that was once polluting Boston Harbor into a national and state park is lesser-known.
Specs of Spectacle Island is the story of Specs, a chipmunkel born and raised on Spectacle Island, and his journey during the Big Dig. The chipmunkels, living on Spectacle Island were forced to live underground to escape the construction and turmoil during the island's restoration. Specs, annoyed having to live life underground, leaves the island in search of a better life.
He swims to some of the other harbor islands only to find he is rejected. The inhabitants call him the "Spectacle Creature" from the contaminated island and chase him away. He travels to Boston and struggles to adjust to life in the big city. Making friends with the mud rats in the subway, he learns about the Big Dig and the dirt getting shipped to some island in the harbor. Recognizing it must be Spectacle Island, he goes back home. Except the island no longer resembles the place he left. He cannot find his family or any other chipmunkels. Instead, he finds lots of other strange animals now living on the island.
Spectacle Island has an intriguing history. Generating a curiosity about the Big Dig and Spectacle Island, Specs of Spectacle Island: A story of an island from trash to treasure provides a background of the enormous, complex project underpinning the island's transformation and Boston Harbor's cleanup. The book includes information about Spectacle Island, the Big Dig, the Zakim Bridge, and The Greenway.
Spectacle Island is accessible by public ferry, private boats, or charter boat. The visitor’s center has a café and museum. Hiking trails offer views of neighboring Boston Harbor Islands and Boston’s skyline. If you go to Spectacle Island and you hike one of the many trails, be sure to look for chipmunkels.

In this episode, Derek is joined by Season II guest CJ Fitzwater for a great chat with Retired Navy Officer and Veterans' Service Officer, Kevin Hunt on understanding the process off getting Federal assistance for medical care for Veterans injured during their time of service.
In this episode Kevin discusses:
- How to determine the total amount of your check the Government owes you
- 'Voodo Math' on determining that amount
- The PACT ACT
The PACT Act and your VA benefitsThe PACT Act is a new law that expands VA health care and benefits for Veterans exposed to burn pits, Agent Orange, and other toxic substances.
The PACT Act adds to the list of health conditions that we assume (or “presume”) are caused by exposure to these substances. This law helps us provide generations of Veterans—and their survivors—with the care and benefits they’ve earned and deserve.
This page will help answer your questions about what the PACT Act means for you or your loved ones. You can also call us at 800-698-2411 (TTY: 711). And you can file a claim for PACT Act-related disability compensation or apply for VA health care now.

Founder and Chocolatier Michael Nichols has always loved food. After leaving his engineering career, he craved a new challenge. During a vacation in Peru, he found one. He heard the siren song of chocolate. He knew he wanted to apply his modern engineering sensibilities to making chocolate, treating the ingredient as a gourmet whole food. He was tired of the over-sugared, over-processed chocolates on the market. He wanted to raise the bar.
When he returned from Peru, Michael enrolled in culinary school and it was there that he met Chef Delphin Gomes. Chef Delphin grew up in the Burgundy region of France and has been working in the pastry arts since he was 14 years old. Michael knew immediately upon meeting Chef Delphin that he had found his culinary partner, and m cacao chocolates was founded soon after.
The spirit of adventure and curiosity drives us. We use the highest quality chocolate to explore other whole, high quality ingredients, cuisines, cultures, places, and history. We're not just making chocolates — we're crafting experiences from real food. We don’t over-sweeten our creations or pack them full of refined sugars.
We search out unique ingredients and unlock their fullest capacity for flavor, texture, and aroma. But that’s all a given. That’s simply where we start our culinary process.
m cacao is what happens when a French master pastry chef and chocolatier teams up with an engineer from Texas who traded his profession (robots) for his passions of food and chocolate. It’s an approach that sees the epicurean classics as building blocks for culinary exploration and innovation. It’s what happens when we charge chocolatiers and chefs with exploring ingredients, their histories, and their possibilities. And it’s what happens when we treat chocolate as a sacred food passed down to us from pre-Columbian Mesoamerica, not as a flavoring for candy. Not that there’s anything wrong with well-crafted candy…but that isn’t what we’re doing at m cacao. We’re making chocolates for people who truly love food, and we take that distinction pretty seriously.
We’re curious and innovative by nature. The culture of constant inspiration and creative application of flavors and techniques come from the dynamic that Michael and Chef Delphin have created. It is in that spirit that we present to you the culmination of a lifetime of passion and experience in chocolate and food: the m cacao Chocolate Collections.

**A History Chat on Lawrence's (MA) 'Four Theaters in a Row' and The Merrimack Valley's Hollywood Connections-Featuring Local Historians Joe Bella and Thomas Spitalere
About the Four Theaters in the Row
Just after the turn of the 20th century, new theaters began to spring up, some in converted older buildings, most as new theaters. At first, the silent film program also included vaudeville shows or celebrities like John L. Sullivan or Helen Keller. At first, Toomey & Demara (Thomas F. Toomey and Napoleon Demara) Amusement Co. owned and operated the Empire, Premier, Colonial, and Broadway (built by Louis B. Mayer) theaters. Later, The Empire Amusement Co., headed by Dr. Alexander l. Siskind, purchased the Empire, Palace, Broadway, and Premier and took a lease on the Colonial. Dr. Siskind had started his association with the movie industry when he opened the Marquise Theater, one of Lawrence's earliest cinemas. His next purchase was the Victoria, which sat opposite the "4 theaters in a row." The four theaters were: the Astor, the Strand, the Broadway, and the Modern. This was considered so unusual that it was highlighted in Ripley's believe it or not! Also Discussed in this episodeLouis B. Mayer - Wikipedia
Thelma Todd - Wikipedia
Joseph Bella, Past President, Lawrence History Center
Joe has also held various leadership positions with the following:
Methuen (MA) Historical Committee, Methuen Historical Society, Methuen Historical Commission, Methuen Bicentennial Committee, Immigrant City Archives, Lawrence, MA. Joe has also authored various historical publications over the last 25 years
Thomas Spitalere, Haverhill Historian
Thomas Spitalere is the founder of Essex County Ghost Project which is a Paranormal Investigative Unit. Tom has been investigating and researching for over 15 years. Many have commented on the professionalism and down to earth attitude that he projects when he is working with the public on resolving issues of haunted areas. He is also the President of Board of Trustees of the Hilldale Cemetery in Haverhill, Ma.

Gavin Marengi a young songwriter from Salisbury, MA. His debut album is making waves all over the North Shore. His incredible ability to tell a story through song along with his unique voice and play style makes this 15-year-old musician a hit every stage he steps on. His background in a small town and the experiences he had growing up are often reflected in the writing of his songs. The young man, who is only 15 years old, manages to captivate audiences everywhere he goes with his impressive guitar playing and raspy voice. His heartfelt music is a fusion of Americana, Classic Folk, Southern Rock, and Outlaw Country.
His song “Southbound” was his debut single that arrived on all platforms February 10th 2023. This song was a reflection on what he thinks and how he portrays his music journey if he left his small town of Salisbury. With a touch of heartfelt weeping slide guitars and a fast paced, catchy melody it shows the young 15 year old boy's passion and ability to do what he loves, write songs. He has a 10 song album coming out in late March 2023. Stay tuned on this young man's journey as we know there is something there. But he would just tell you he’s just a boy chasing a dream.

The Three Guys chat with 20 year+ restaurant owner and operator Bassam Geha. Bassam shares his personal journey in the restaurant industry, surviving the pandemic restrictions, overcoming the costs of doing business, and how he's evolving his business model to remain successful. We learn how his experience working at the famous Bishops restaurant prepared him for his life in restaurant owner and remaining success despite all the challenges. Also, exactly what is micro wrestling?? It's all on this episode!
Our story began when the legendary Bishop's Restaurant, which operated in Lawrence, Massachusetts for over fifty years, closed its doors in January of 2002. Having faith in Bishop's menu, along with the blessing and support of the owners of Bishop's, the Bashara Family, The Geha Family who had worked at Bishop's for years opened the Phoenician Restaurant in Salem, NH on May of 2002. Key staff members, many of whom had worked at Bishop's for decades, joined the Geha Family at their new restaurant.
In May of 2009, the Phoenician moved to a bigger venue in Haverhill, MA. The new location includes a 250 seat restaurant, a full bar area (recently renovated in 2019 to accommodate more seating), an outside patio and plenty of parking. The building also includes a function hall with a capacity of 400 guests known as "Michael's Function Hall" operated by the Geha family and serving quality food in the same standard of service that guests have become accustomed to from the Phoenician for over a decade.

Seth Moulton is a veteran, a father, and a Democrat who represents a new generation of leaders in Washington.
Inspired to public service by his most important mentor in life, the great Black Minister Rev Peter Gomes, he joined the Marines in 2001, days after his college graduation and a few months before the attacks on 9/11. Leading a frontline infantry platoon in the first Marine company to enter Baghdad, he later worked to establish a free and independent Iraqi media, and served as a liaison to senior Iraqi military and political leaders for General Petraeus. While he was an outspoken critic of the Iraq War, he proudly served four tours, sharing the view of many of our servicemembers that he didn’t want anyone to go in his place.
After returning home from Iraq, Seth used the G.I. Bill to earn joint degrees in business and public administration, and then became the managing director of Texas Central, building America’s first high-speed rail line. But it wasn't long before he was called to serve once again, this time in his home district in Massachusetts.
Seth challenged the establishment with a platform of bringing a new generation of leadership to Washington, willing to fight for progressive values yet not afraid of bipartisanship.
Named the Most Effective Freshman Democrat in his first term, Seth has consistently delivered results in a divided Washington. He is the only Member of Congress to earn two Democracy Awards from the Congressional Management Foundation, one in 2018 for Transparency and a second in 2020 for having the best constituent services in all of Congress. His legislation has delivered Faster Care for Veterans, designated athree-digit National Suicide Hotline, modernized Government Travel, and delivered on ALS Diability Insurance. His American High-Speed Rail Act is the most ambitious and forward-thinking infrastructure package before Congress today, and he recently wrote the G.I. Bill Repair Act to finally restore long-denied benefits to Black veterans of World War II.
Today, Seth sits on three committees. As a member of the Budget Committee, he advocates for a new economic agenda that will make a difference for American families. As a member of the House Armed Services Committee, he co-chaired the Future of Defense Task Force, which recently issued a first-of-its-kind bipartisan report on the hard choices and smart investments we must make to ensure our national security for the decades ahead. And he is the Congressional leader on high-speed rail and other next-generation infrastructure on the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee.

Shari DeBenedetti was born in Schenectady, New York and moved to Boston with her family when she was 11 years old. She graduated from Lynnfield High School and attended Bentley University while working full-time at an engineering firm where she still works part-time today.
Shari became interested in the paranormal field at a very young age as she experienced many strange and unexplained things. But it wasn't until the age of 25 that she began to research and investigate the paranormal, because the house she lived in at the time was believed to be haunted. Shari and her family had many frightening experiences there. It was so bad that she was afraid to go into the house alone, not knowing what was going to happen next. That's when she decided to start investigating with her friends and eventually formed a team. Shari wanted to help others who were experiencing paranormal activity so that they would be comfortable living in their homes.
Whether for a client or for fun, over the years she has also investigated hotels/inns, historical properties, cemeteries, forts, lighthouses, office buildings, apartment complexes, and restaurants.
Shari first met Jason Hawes at a T.A.P.S. paranormal event and has remained friends with him, and other team members for many years. When she's not on the road filming Ghost Hunters, Shari enjoys spending time at home with her two children, Angelina and Nico. Shari also still conducts private investigations with a few teams in her local area.

Brian came of concert age at the beginning of the 90's, yet his musical tastes are deeply rooted in hard rock of the late 1980s. He believes the genre's greatest works were released from 1986-1987 and that it is a toss-up of which year rocked harder. 1986 brought Poison's "Look What the Cat Dragged In", RATT's "Dancing Undercover", and Cinderella's debut album "Night Songs". From 1987, Def Leppard's Hysteria, Whitesnake's "Whitesnake", Permanent Vacation, and Girls, Girls, Girls were everywhere. But the cassette that would cement this guest's love for rock more than any other was Appetite for Destruction which was quietly released in July 1987. Since 1991, he has seen all of these bands play live multiple times and has traveled the continent and even to Europe to various line-ups of GNR play live. He currently resides in New Orleans, here he is, Brian Atchison

Honor Flight New England joined with the national organization Honor Flight Network in the Spring of 2009, and is a non-profit organization dedicated to honoring America’s most senior veterans. Through generous donations, we transport our heroes to Washington, D.C., to visit and reflect at their memorials AT NO COST TO THE VETERAN. Top priority is currently given to the WWII Veterans, along with those other veterans who may be terminally ill. Beginning in the Spring of 2016, Honor Flight New England will also begin transporting Korean War Veterans.
With approximately 500 WWII Veterans dying each day, and many Korean War Veterans not being far behind in age, our time to express our thanks to these brave men and women is running out.
Our first flight was on June 13, 2009. It was a humbling experience to be with these Veterans on our maiden voyage to D.C. Of those 50 Veterans and Guardians traveling with us, on board were 14 WWII II Prisoners of War and 5 World War II Heroes, including one hero that lost his sight while serving his country.
Honor Flight New England has learned a lot over these last six years, most notably that our veteran heroes aren’t asking for recognition. It is our position that they deserve it. Our program is just a small token of our appreciation for those that gave so much.
Please help us continue to make their dream of visiting THEIR memorials a reality. HONOR FLIGHT NEW ENGLAND — our way of saying to all our veterans — one more TOUR with HONOR.

The Three Guys Podcast kick off Season 2 with a very tearful and heartful interview with Heart Transplant Recipient C.J. Fitzwater.
C.J. Fitzwater is a native of Ohio and currently resides in Salisbury, Ma. He is a Heart Transplant Recipient, VP of Consignment Sales for America's Auto Auction Boston, Lions Club Member, and Coach. During the early part of the pandemic C.J. sensing his health was a little off visited his doctor where he was told he had a heart attack. Fast forward he found himself very sick walking with a cane, barely able to breath, and eventually having a pacemaker put in him. Still not feeling well and no other options available he was referred to Tufts by a close friend. After having some routine tests done, he found himself on life support. Finally waking up his doctor told him he needed a heart transplant. A young man by the name of Dominic who recently lost his life, who happened to be an organ donor had his heart transplanted to C.J. and additionally saved five other people that same day. C.J. to this day speaks regularly with the young man's parents and makes it a point to help others out in rememberance of Dominic. Anytime he creates a team he calls it "Dominics Legacy". This is a very beautiful and informative story that you don't want to miss.

The Three Guys are joined by guest co-host Jennifer Pesicka and Marie Vizza. They interview Briana Betts owner of Cactus and Cone.
About Bri:
Cactus and Cone is a company sprouted from my interest in events through many years of craft cocktail bartending and serving in Boston. I attended Suffolk University in 2016 to receive a Bachelors Degree in Advertising to better unify these passions. Since graduation, I have worked alongside restaurants and event companies to assist in branding as well as executing large and small scale events.
As I moved from my small farm to live in the city, my love of the outdoors adjusted to a passion for house plants and fresh cut flowers. In every event, I attempt to incorporate a piece of the outdoors. I’ve always loved how greenery can warm up even the coldest spaces. I love how no matter how old the tradition of gifting flowers may be it — will never go out of style.
Designer for Cocktails, Floristry, Event Decor, Calligraphy Signage for Events and Websites + Logo Design with social media management/Content creation. I work for Wedding Planners as an assistant or as a vendor.

Bio:
The children in the Hopkins family learn from an early age that they are the direct descendants of the largest family on the Mayflower. At a later age, they learn...that was just the tipple talking. In a family where pilgrim trivia is abundant, where Cape Code is considered holy ground, and where children share names with passengers aboard the Mayflower, settling in the Commonwealth is a forgone conclusion.
Elizabeth Hopkins is a member of the morning ensemble at Fox25 in Boston. She comes here from Providence, Rhode Island. At WRPRI, she anchored the morning and noon shows and co-hosted The Rhode Show, a lifestyle and entertainment program. Before that, she spent several years at WKOW in Madison, Wisconsin, where she anchored and reported daily. There, she garnered an Emmy nod for her piece on "bug chasing," a term which refers to those seeking HIV infection. Prior to working in Madison, she anchored the evening news at KNBN in Rapid City, South Dakota. She began her career at KAUN in Sioux Falls.

Episode 6 kicks off with who Brian thinks would be a billionaire if they were still around today. The Three Guys Podcast interview Book Author Dianne M. Tarpy discussing publishing her first book, leadership, working for one of the largest telecommunications company, 9/11, Dianne's involvement with several women's organizations, and her advice for young women.
Dianne M. Tarpy is an author who is late to the scene of poetry writing, having worked in the corporate telecommunications environment for over 34 years. In this role, she experienced first-hand the life-altering tragedy of 9/11 in New York City and the resulting aftermath and restoration of the network.
She is a community and family-focused leader, resident, and hometown sports fan from Haverhill, Massachusetts, where she has lived her entire life. As a wife, mother of three, and Nana to eight beautiful grandchildren, she has lived long enough to experience life at its best and its worst.
Having achieved two master’s degrees, she is the recipient of a number of awards at the national and local level for her work achieved in giving back to the community in which she lives and works.
A voracious, lifelong reader, writing has always come easy. Little did she know that lying quietly within her was a book waiting to be written - she just needed the right time and mental space to do so. The silver lining of the pandemic is that she feels as though her life’s purpose has been realized. She believes in learning that never ends and knows that one person can – and does – make a difference. As well as knowing that it is never too late to do or be all that you wish for.
My writings
A writer with a lifelong desire to learn and share. By sharing thoughts, through poetry, much can be learned.
