Merging each person's passion for hunting, conservation and the outdoors through the conversations had. Last week I headed to Manitoba to pursue giant black bears with Beartrack Outfitters. The hunt was incredible and the people I met were amazing. Sharing camp with likeminded guys from different parts of the country brings back the feel of old hunting camps that are now just stories from yesteryear. I ended up connecting with a giant black bear on the third day and the story took a huge twist when the recovery was in progress. It was the most intense few moments I have ever experienced and glad to be able to share the story. Listen in to the bear hunt breakdown episode.

Being strong in her faith, she shares how God truly has blessed their family with the TV show and the opportunities it has brought to meet other great people like Cayla and her family. The episode wraps up with us talking about their moose hunt and just how anxious they both are to get after them in Newfoundland together in Sept. Brady is back and being right here at fall food plot planting time, we thought we would dive into the parable of the Sower. It really helps me think of where I am with my faith and what type of ground I am. Is it compacted, rocky, among the weeds or do you find yourself prepared soil ready to produce a successful food plot?

Edie asks about heaven and tells me that she will miss us when we go. It was my first mature children questions I have had to deal with as a daddy and I hope I got it right lol. As we mature to adulthood we seem to make everything complex. From hunting to our Faith, it always seems to have layers stacked on top of layers that truly move us further away from the actual intent. I hope each of you have a wonderful week and thank you for listening to the Marshfield Outdoors podcast, powered by Final Draw Tv.

Mr. Blanton has been someone I have always admired, even from a young age watching him and the Realtree Team hunt the Milk River. David was nice enough to drop in via zoom for an awesome episode which tells a lot about the man on the other side of our TV screens. Bradley Greeson and Jeremy Stalker drop in to talk about their individual up bringing in the outdoors, how their hunting season is going and then just how these two hit it off and began hunting together. Their Faith and love for the outdoors is strong, and it truly shows in the way they format their episodes on their podcast. We have some great conversation on this one, so I hope you enjoy it.
Greg Baney is the creator of G2 Buck social media platform. He is a long-time athlete, but it was not until his adult years that Greg found is love for hunting. Going through one of life's toughest battles, Greg gives great insight on just how much hunting, the outdoors and his family helped him through his bout with cancer. I think we can all take away something from this conversation as Greg shares with us his experiences and story. Enjoy!!!
Greg,
Thank you for joining me for this episode of the Marshfield Outdoors Podcast. It was great to finally get you on and get to know you. Good luck this season my friend.

Jeff Phillips has created one of the best whitetail hunting community social media pages here in Virginia. Star City Whitetails, for years now, has "Celebrated the Harvest" and been a place sportsmen and women could enjoy the old school tailgate check-in station talks in the modern world. Jeff and I look back at some of his fondest memories in the woods growing up, what made him start Star City Whitetails and the new layout for the '22 big buck and bear contest this year. Jeff has certainly become a good friend and a great supporter of my adventure with Marshfield Outdoors and I am definitely appreciative of that and his time he took to be on this week's podcast episode.
God Bless and Happy Hunting this fall!!!
BONUS EPISODE
Excuse the loud background noise but with as many hunters, guides and volunteers there was no getting away from the sound. Listen closely to the words that are shared in this podcast, you will get a lot out of it. I was lucky enough to be able to be at the event where you could truly feel the love and outpouring of kindness from the hunting community in Taylorsville, NC. I was blessed beyond words for the people I met, the friendships I made and the invite to be a guide next year. David and Guy, thank you both for having me. You two are absolute top notch Christian Men and I hope that I can be half the Men you both are as I continue to progress through this life.
Thank you
Todd Caron, Tony Smotherman and Heath Rayfield drop in via zoom to explain Anabolic Gro. When you first hear the back story of Anabolic Gro, you may wonder if you are listening to the making of the script for Jurassic Park or some discovery of a land before time. But with so many success stories on their own plots, it is hard to not to believe what they are saying. Anabolic Gro is the next BIG thing for food plotters and as we go along with this fall season, continue to look for content showing how this product is working for us on our own plot.
If interested in this product, please visit anabolicgro.com and use code MARSHFIELD10 at check out for your discount.
Thank you for listening.
Robie Pruitt was able to take some time away from his busy schedule during this fall planting season and give us some great insight on Antler King products and food plotting. Antler King has some amazing food plot blends, attractants, minerals and even in field soil test kits, plus so much more. Straight from Nashville, TN, Noah Garner was finally able to find time off the stage to give us some great insight on him pursuing his passion. Our theme "Seek Your Existence" is all over this episode. I could not be more excited for Noah and all his ventures in the future and lucky enough to now call him a friend. Keep an eye out for new music from Noah coming soon and a whole lot more.

What are we eating? And more importantly, what are we not eating? Jeremiah Doughty, owner and creator of From Field to Plate, checks in from Southern California via zoom to talk about his path to living out his dream. From medical scares that seemed to push him into this direction more, which we chalk up to being nudges from God, to talking all things wild game meat and nutrition. God has a plan for all of us. The question is, are you seeking your EXISTENCE? Jeremiah is and is living his purpose out to the fullest.
Charles Kizer and James Thomas (J.T.) join me and my first co-host Ben Cockerille for a great episode. Both Charles and J.T. have great platforms showcasing their hunting lifestyles. But, while listening to this one, be ready to have your stomach bone hurting from laughing at us cut up about some funny stories from the field. With the idea coming from Charles, we wanted to make this episode really showcase the brotherhood and bond that is made between hunting buddies. From talking about progressions in our hunting lifestyles to learning so much about competitive coon hunting and the love for the hounds and heritage, Ben and I really enjoyed forming a great friendship with them for the two hours we sat and talked like we had known each other forever.
Listen in on the great conversation with Mike Jones who is the President of the Virginia Peninsula Sportsmen's Association. This great non-profit has some deep roots here in the hunting community of the Commonwealth. Going back 83 years this year of putting on the Big Game Contest and some could say the pioneer of the technique that measure's our whitetail bucks head gear. Mike goes over some great ways the organization has worked with our State Agency, now VDWR, for many years in helping improve our resources that we all so love to chase during each spring and fall. Mike touches on some informative points of the Big Game Contest this year; August 5 - 7, 2022 and some highlights from past years. We do hope to see everyone at the Virginia Outdoor Sportsman Show, bring your trophies to see how they stack up against the other from across our great State and stop by booth 70 to talk hunting and record an episode with us.
Creator of the All-American apparel company, East Coast Waterfowl, Kent Jones joins us this week. We traverse through the progressions of his creation and how it came to be. Kent's genuine character and humble personality is recognized very quickly, and it is easy to see how he continues to be so successful with his company. Plenty of motivation to go around on this one, so turn up that volume and listen in on a good one.
You can also catch Kent and I at the Virginia Outdoors Sportsman Show in Richmond, Virginia August 5 - 7, 2022. Stop by and give us a shout and you may also find yourself published on the podcast.
Rp drops in via Zoom and fills us in on the progressions throughout his outdoorsmen lifestyle. With fishing being a great love of his, there is nothing that gets his blood going more than the wild turkey. We talk about his life growing up and the different directions his competitive nature has taken him through the years. You want to be motivated to do more? Well push play and enjoy this episode with a great guy and now someone I can say is a great friend.
George, a New York native goes through his progression of his hunting lifestyle. The hopes and dreams that he had of becoming an NFL football player, his time as a great competitor in Power Lifting and how it his life has come full circle back to his roots as an outdoorsman. We talk family, life and all about our love for the great outdoors. Enjoy!
For episode 9, I was lucky enough to record with one of the top Whitetail Deer and Wild Turkey photographers in the world, Lance Krueger. Lance led us through his early memories of falling in love with magazine covers and photos of big whitetails and how he was able to turn his passion into a world renown profession. Lance has been featured on the covers and inside pages of wildlife's largest outdoor/hunting magazines and his knowledge and experience he shares in this episode really spotlights the thought into "making a picture instead of just taking a picture." Lance, I sure do appreciate the time we spent together recording this, God bless and I look forward to many more pictures of yours to come. Enjoy!
Coming off of a great episode with Mike Burnside, I sit down for a cup of coffee and a conversation with David Hinceman; Founder of Hands of a Sportsman. Hands of a Sportsman is a non-profit in the great state of North Carolina that has one of the most meaningful missions with helping provide opportunities to those they may have never thought possible to enjoy the great outdoors. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did!
Episode 7 is one of the most inspirational outdoor lifestyle episodes I will probably ever have the pleasure to host. Mike Burnside goes on to tell us of his rich hunting background and gives insight on going from the hunter to the father of a hunter. Through taking his son Thor through the ups and downs of hunting to helping provide experience for his daughter Kenzi, who was diagnosed with cerebral palsy just months after being born, this family's faith, perseverance, and way of just "doing life" is truly remarkable. I truly hope you enjoy this week's episode as much as I did.
Coming off the most amazing hunting trip for Bruno, the TEXAS sized Axis deer, I had the pleasure of sitting down with Trey Rigby, Founder of Axis Addict. Trey gives us some great insight on the axis deer of Texas, his awesome platform and preparing to hunt them. Trey even listens in on my recap of our big hunt that God surely blessed us on. Trey was a huge supporter of ours going into this hunt and I can now say I am lucky to have such a great friend in Trey down in Texas. Enjoy!
@axisaddict
Mike was gracious enough to take time and talk turkey for over an hour. Mike is full of knowledge, from the history of the wild turkey here in the Commonwealth on through our states management plan. Podcasting is easy conversation when you are able to share the confluence with a like-minded guest. Mike Dye, I appreciate all the insight and I look forward to hopefully sitting up against a tree in the turkey woods with you this spring. ENJOY!
An exciting episode with our Virginia Department of Wildlife Resources Elk Project Lead, Jackie Rosenberger. We dive into the history of the elk in Virginia and the success story of bringing back the once flourishing animal here in the Commonwealth. Jackie also gives us some great insight on the Elk Hunting Lottery that is open right now. Enjoy!
Episode 3 is one for the books. I was given a great opportunity to sit down with a whitetail great, Greg Glesinger. Although we all know Greg for his continuous success in the whitetail woods with the bow, there is a whole lot more to him. We break down the circle of life, and how the early days of growing up on a farm would soon resurface and bring much success at his ability to plant and grow food plots. And while on the subject of life, he explains the importance of prioritizing your life to make sure responsibilities are taken care of, but the dream and chase of what we are truly passionate about is never given up on! From the ins and outs of the production process after the harvest, to Greg filling me in on some important hunting moments that changed him as a hunter and the one that helped him realize his true capabilities, to push further than he ever thought possible. I hope you enjoy this episode as much as I did, and I want to give a huge thank you to Greg for putting together this episode.
Andrew and I share a great conversation about how important it is to find the balance between everyday life and the pursuit of our passion in the outdoors. Andrew fills me in on the way he has dealt with the confluence of becoming a family man and making sure the ENTIRE family learns to enjoy, respect and take part in all activities outside. We also dive into the great story of the buck he calls Weston and the many confluences he went through over two seasons.
@thewildheartoutdoors
On this episode I explain the meaning behind the name "Confluence" and how it relates to me. Giving a little insight of what we intend to bring through sharing stories of the hunting experiences and lifestyle from our guests.
