It's pride month, and I wanted to talk about everything happening right now in the LGBTQIA+ community. While I love glitter, rainbows, and gay bars, pride month is also about recognizing queer pain and the struggles we're going through as a community and individually. I discuss the rise of anti-trans and homophobic legislation in the United States and countries like Uganda. I also discuss the importance of queer friendships and being in queer spaces that accept and support you. During pride month, I also find myself reflecting on my past, so I share parts of my coming out journey. Tune in!

Internalized homophobia isn't always visible in the LGBTQIA+ community, so I wanted to make it visible in this episode. I share a recent experience that made me want to talk about this topic, and how I've combated internalized homophobia in myself over the years. In addition, I discuss the importance of calling people into the community and creating a safe space for people with internalized homophobia. Overall, the moral of this episode is to love yourself and accept all aspects of what makes you *you*—even if society doesn't accept you.
