There are hundreds of these but we are picking out the 24 most significant or most well known prophecies to read and ponder; to better understand how the entire earth had been waiting for Jesus for millenia and how the fulfillment of many of those prophecies is still unfolding today. As we consider the timelessness and timeliness of the Messiah may we also find ourselves, our hearts’ desires, and our own fulfillment in Jesus.

Join us for a three session series inviting us to examine how managing our finances can actually bring us closer to God. Generally, we don’t like speaking about God and money in the same sentence, as if God hates money and there is something wrong with us using it. In fact, the Bible mentions money more than any other topic with over 2000 verses dedicated to managing financial resources. 16 of Jesus’ 38 parables were about how to handle money and possessions. Let’s put aside our baggage around this topic and learn from some faithful members of First Lutheran Church how managing their financial resources has become a spiritual practice and a blessing. If you would like to connect with First Lutheran, find out more information at www.flcch.org.
Today we hear from Chad and Missy about the blessings they found when they decided to try following God’s financial principles.

Welcome to our travel series podcast! We are using this time to chat with members of our congregation who have left the building to encounter Christ in the world. Have you ever gone on a trip that completely changed your life? While we all love vacations, even if we are privileged enough to be able to take a trip somewhere, we don’t always go with the intention of making the world a better place or making ourselves into better people. Sometimes we just want to shut down and that’s okay. The travel experiences you will hear about in the next several weeks, however, were undertaken with a different perspective. Each of these experiences began with a desire for personal growth and an understanding that comfort was not the main goal. Often these trips become the most meaningful travel experiences of our lives and we return home with new perspectives. Specifically, these trips began with a desire to learn about Jesus or to love others in his name. We will release these episodes once per week until Ash Wednesday. If they inspire you to travel for spiritual growth, praise God! If you want to join us on a future excursion, just let us know. Set your reminder to listen beginning January 7. Let’s explore this world God made!
