Hello Skatehive!
Another day off, another skate session with the iSolar Crew. It was a great session, and the heat did not stop us this time. The weather was quite nice and not so draining. TJ did not pull out the ledge as he is still hurt from last time. We skated the hamdan spot and skated my flatbar.
Today I cracked my skateboard while attempting to frontside lip slide. I was doing it for a long time, and I was telling myself that I did it before why not do it again. I should have stopped and prevented it from cracking. So, for that reason I focused on grind tricks, finally I got the crooked grind on the flat bar again and I did my old grind tricks like fakie 5050. It was unfortunate to crack the board, but I think it was somewhat of a blessing, without it happening I would have not had the guts to do my grind tricks again.
The guys popping up to skate with us begin to rise. They were TJ’s old friends going back to skate and killing it. I really enjoyed a good session with everyone skating their best. It gives me extra motivation to complete tricks.
Hope you enjoy watching and thanks!

Hello Skatehive!
What a day! Summer is on and skateboarding is getting a little harder for me. Hahah. The temperature is slowly rising every week and my body is adapting to the heat. We skated the Hamdan spot and TJ filmed as usual. I got some good lines and not so good lines. Haha. I should have redo that backside flip, but I was so tired. I’ll get it right next time. I can’t be choosy and use up all my energy on one trick. My time is limited, and I could not really keep up with the heat anymore. Hahaha.
Friends had a couple of clips but that’s it. It’s mostly me skating on this video. Tj was injured, he got his arms messed up while transferring the ledge to the place where we kept it. I think he’ll skate but with caution. I had a good session today and I hope I can keep up as the heat rises.
Hope you enjoy watching and thanks!

Hello Skatehive!
Another week, another video! Consistently skating at the Hamdan DIY spot with the iSolar crew. I had such a great time this session. I even have tricks that were not captured by the camera because everyone was skating and having a good time. The ledge that they built is steady as a rock and I think it will continue to be that way before a major repair. My little rail is also skating good and really a good addition to lines. Simple tricks can be fun on that rail. Everyone had a good time, and it was again a great session.
Summer is slowly creeping in, and it is getting hotter and hotter. Because of this, I will be skating on my morning schedule again. I plan to learn new tricks while I do this. It seems to me that it is very difficult to learn new tricks these days, I need to put in effort to learn new things. So, the next few videos will be the usual steady shots and solo shots of myself. ha-ha.
thanks!

Hello Skatehive!
Another Skate edit from the Hamdan spot. We skated the ledge and my rail as usual.
Loads of skaters came through and skated with us. It was even crowded and little space to move at one point. We started early at 2PM and the weather temperature was fine. I filmed friends and I have a couple or more lines. Billy came through and skated well that day, he has a bag of tricks now on the ledge and I am not surprised at all with his progress throughout the years he’s been skating.
I won’t say much now, enjoy the video!
thanks!

Good day Everyone!
Another Great Session was done and it was one of the best ones lately.
As I have said last time, I basically broke their ledge in half. hahah, it was unfortunate but it happens.
Jules and TJ built a new ledge and it was by far superb than the last one.
The strength and hold of this ledge is awesome and it can take a lot of hits.
It was done amazingly and thanks to Jules and TJ we finally have a good ledge to skate on.
A lot of guys came through and it was a great afternoon skate session.
The usual suspects killed it, TJ, Diether, Jules, Czar. Ras came to skate after a long time of not seeing him.
Everybody was hyped to sakte the ledge! For me, it gave back memories of Philippine spots where we basically made the same set up of flatbars and ledges.
I hope you enjoy watching this video, this was a awesome session and i hope you like our tricks!
thanks!

Good Day Everyone!
Another skate day has been done successfully. This day we skated the Hamdan spot and pulled out the ledge that the iSolar crew built.
The ledge skated well although it needed some improvements. TJ, Renz, Diether and Jules was present and skated well this day.
The weather was nice overall and we had such a blast!
I did a couple of the usual lines and suprised myslef as I can still ollie some cones lying down. hahah.
Getting older does not help in going up in ollies anymore, but I think we did pretty good. hahah.
Diether is in his young age and still peaking so all tricks are no problem for him. The power and the board control is unmatched.
Every session is fun in this spot and the tricks are going and going. I hope this continues even until the blazing summer.
We did not pull out the rail as we focus more on breaking in the new ledge.
Up to the last minute the ledge kept up, but unfortunately, it gave out when I tried the nollie tail and landed wrong.
We will just build another one and post it here. The good thing is we got most of the parts now and the most important angle bar.
Hope you enjoy the clips!!

Good day Everyone!
We skated the Yas south skatepark once again after a year and a half.
The spot is good but it is a bit far from the city. It is a 30 minute ride from where we live. so instead of skating here, we opt to skate in nearby spots.
The ledges here vary from high to low, so I had the warm up in the low ledge before I went with the rather tall ones.
It was a great session. familiarizing again with the spot takes time especially for an old dude like me. hahaha.
I could not just go and destroy anymore. I just skate and take my time with tricks.
Czar skating was great, He managed to pull some old tricks he have not done in a while and made it happen.
I hope you enjoy watching!

Hello Everyone!
Another clip edits for this day! This time I skated with the friends at the Corniche spot. Previously, these spots had marble ledges but now it was removed and un-skateable. We went to this spot to have a change or a break from skating the old park. The spot is nearby the sea, and it is for walking and unwinding.
I could not skate for two weeks as the pain in my right foot due to the old problem I had, which was calcification. This the first two sessions I skated after the pain was manageable. I was not at a hundred percent as every time I land, there is pain. I did a few tricks I am used to but I did not really tried that hard.
The guys at the session who was TJ, Czar, Jules and Diether was skating great. TJ finally landed a clean Frontside boardslide, Czar was cruising and Diether was killing it.
I hope you enjoy watching.

Good day Everyone!
It has been a long while since the last time I posted. Things have been busy for me, and I did not get a chance to write here in Hive.
Anyway, the winter here in UAE is over. The great weather comes to an end, and I made a little compilation of my skating during this time.
I went to skate with friends, and I only skated alone once. I did some usual tricks and learned a few others.
We skated the Hamdan spot often and I always bring my rail. The ledges are too high in Hamdan so I always bring this rail so that I can do some tricks, and because sometimes skating tall ledges drains a lot of my energy.
The usual OG skatepark spot recently opened as it was shut down for almost 6 months due to kids vandalizing the ramps, one more reason we skated Hamdan spot more. But as soon as we heard the OG opened, we went there and skated it.
I have been heavily posting on Instagram the past months, I just did not have the time to edit and post here on hive. Quick reels and shorts are all I did. Just being tired from work and being busy every weekend.
Anyway, I hope you enjoy watching these.
Cheers!

Hello Everyone!
It has been 4 months since I last posted. I just have not been creative these past months and all things that have been going on, I could not find myself writing and posting again.
Instagram kept me connected to @skatehive and I just thought of compiling these little clips and uploading it here. These clips are from January 2023 to June 26, 2023. I skated with billy after a long time and that one clip of him doing a trey was a testament of how much he progressed after two years. That was insane and it was on lock.
Glad to be posting again and hopefully shall be posting weekly. It has been a new schedule and for now I am just running with it. By next week it, will be busy again and I guess I would be posting every sunday. I'll to make that as a schedule and catch up with what's going on in Skatehive.

Good day Skatehive!
Another day-off, another session! I am glad i could still skate. I tried ot skate last week but I had some other things to work on.
The session was great and I tried to skate ramps! Once again I could not skate ramps, but I just tried some basic stuff like ollie variations and a nollie.
Skating ramps is not really my cup of tea. I just figure it out when I skate. I could not even do a axle stall. hahaha.
But skating ramps really feels good especially when landing tricks and rolling.
Anyway, I hope you like my video and see you next time!
Cheers!

Another Day-off another session! This time I tried two tricks I have not done in almost 5 years. hahaha. I had it difficult and needed to remember how I did it before.
It was a nice day and I had a great session, I started with some flatground and basic tricks to warm my legs up. The usuals as I call it, kick flip and heelflip and some boardslides and 50's.
My body felt great and I hope this continues next week session. Hope you like my video!

Good day @skatehive!
Another skate session in the park. This day was cloudy, unusually cold, and windy. I am coming
from the desert weather and 11 degrees Celsius is freezing cold for me hahaha. The high winds
are also making it much colder, and we cannot get sweat and skate hard. Czar only had a few
tricks filmed so it is me with a lot of tries and a few makes. It also rained all night, and the
ledges were wet, we only skated the low manual pads and the flat bar.
Our skate session is usually only 2 hours in the morning. 7:30AM after I dropped of my son to
school and only up to 9:30AM because I need to pick him up. It is short and time management
is crucial. For the first hour we skate around the park without filming and the last hour is all
filming session. This sucks but I just try to make each hour worth it.
Tricks in this video are just simple. I was not prepared for the coldness of this morning, and I
even must have three layers of clothing just to sweat hahaha. I did a couple of lines and as I
have seen while editing, it is not that good, but it is something better than singles hahaha. We
will try to get more clips next time as the weather warms a bit.
As we were about to finish the session it started to rain, and I thought it was going to pour
hard. Fortunately, it stopped, and we just skated till we ran out of time.
Thanks for watching!
Cheers!

Good Day @Skatehive!!
I had a skate session with my friend Czar last weekend. We had two hours to skate and the first
hour was the session then the last hour was filming tricks. TJ could not come so we had to film
ourselves. I found a good angle and we just stuck with it. I could not get to do the action-
packed angles like TJ, luckily this angle worked, and it was good enough.
I had a couple of lines, but it feels I am not skating great. I find myself repeating the same line
and it is not even better. Hahaha. With that reason, I guess the next session I am going to try
to put together a line I have not filmed yet (with tricks I am capable). There are tons of ideas
going in my head and the only thing to do now is take it into action and film it. For now, here is
a little morning session!
Cheers!

Good day @skatehive!
A new year 2023 session and a final 2022 session. Just me trying to film some skate clips. I skated on Saturday, and I thought I will be skating alone. The plan was to skate with TJ, but TJ was a little late. He was probably doing some important things. At first, I set up the camera
assuming that I would skate alone then TJ arrived one hour and a half into the session. I was filming steady tricks and I got a couple decent ones to upload. I may have said this before on the blog but I have finally found the settings I like with my gopro 11. After transferring the files on my laptop, the colors are already great and only minimal touch up was required. Finally, I
do not have to worry about settings as I am skating.
The tricks were not automatic perfect, but I can say that it was a better session than the last time upload. I also tried my head mount for gopro, it has been sitting on the accessories box of my gopro 4 since I bought it years ago. I am not used to the weight on my head while skating, but it gave a nice POV of the board while riding and doing tricks. TJ filmed me some great
angles, but I could not finish some lines. I was struggling and a bit tired when we started filming lines. I had to calm myself and focus to have the lines complete.
After that week, I set up my new board and wore my somewhat new shoe. I bought this board back in October 2022 and the shoes I think 6 months back. I held on to it and did not use it as my old board was still good and the SB shane was still great. I did some basic tricks and really had a great first impression of the board.
Have fun watching!
Cheers!

Whatsupp Skatehive!
Have a look at our little session where we used the Gopro11. It was a short 2hour session with Czar, and as per usual, he killed the session and I just tried tricks as hard as I can. hahahha
The gopro hypersmooth was nice but i feel like I have not unlocked some video settings to maximize its capability. It was vcery different from the Gopro 6 that i previously have so I am still adjusting to it.
hope you like the video, I try better next time! hahahah!
https://3speak.tv/watch?v=mark0318/ggezsvjd
Good day @skatehive!
This is a little video of me testing out the GOPro11. I used only the default settings as I just got
it the other week and never really touched it until my day-off. So far, the default settings is
good and I am very impressed by the 4k video. The size of the camera is a little larger than the
Gopro6 and 4, the ones I had but not that heavy and still fits my palm. It was a worth it buy,
and from a guy like me who skates and film for a hobby; it is just enough.
I have not tinkered with the settings when I skated last week, but sure enough I found some
tips on YT to improve the settings and make use of the important ones. The 4k video was good
and me filming solo I do a lot of cropping to make my videos look closer, the quality of the
photo stills is also great, here are a few:
One thing I wanted to see on filming skateboarding was the hypersmooth feature.
Unfortunately, this December month is busy, and all the guys could not skate on my schedule.
The battery of this one is good enough to last 2 hours, Filming with 4k at 60FPS maybe the
case. I decided not to go under 4k with this camera, I mean going for 1080p feels like a let
down if the camera is capable of shooting 5k! My iPhone can also shoot 4k but in terms of
memory capacity, and its main function as a mobile phone is the reason I don’t shoot 4k with it
frequently.
I bought a sandisk SD card with 256 memory to use with this one because as soon as I plugged
in my old 64GB form my gopro6, it has a prompt in the camera that says the memory card is
not compatible. it needed a highspeed card to be able to use the 4k, 5k mode and to avoid
corruption in the files. Honestly, I do not know about these things, and I did not care, but
losing files is not a great experience and frustrating so I got the compatible memory card.
Enjoy watching!
I am rusty and I have not tried a new trick on this video. Bear with me on the sketchy flips.
Hahah.

Good day Skatehive!
Another week, another video! this time we had a street session skating the Clocktower spot. We went to the spot using our bikes and met TJ and Jennard there. Jennard is the new kid fresh from the Philippines. He is young and learning fast. And when you are young like him, you will be jumping stairs and ollieing obstacles. Van came through also and energetic as always.
This spot have amazing marble ledges and have a good tree shade. the weather was nice and a balance cool and low wind and sunny. I tried to make lines but it was just not my day. i let the young guns do their thing and I just had a couple of clips.
Overall it was a great session. it is fun to sktate once a week and catch up with friends. Some plans happens and some plans don't. We are all busy and i am glad we still get to skate.
Cheers!

P.S. Two sessions, kicked out again! hahah, street skating in AUH is getting harder because of this!

Good day Skatehive!
Here is a little street and park skateboard session from us here in Abu Dhabi. I skated with Van and TJ this day and it was great skating with them after months. My buddy Czar was not able to come as he was busy. It would have been a better video with him, hahah.
The plan was to skate street all day on the “chambers” spot. It did not happen as after one hour of skating, the security kicked us out and we had no choice but to go to the O.G. park. We had little clips on the street spot, so we went to the park. Only issue is that it was a hot day and the park only have a little shade to rest.
However, we just skate through and got some clips. I was so tired, but it was a great day to be out and skating. I focused on ramps at the park because I suck at them. Hahah. I learned a new trick anyway, just a basic, but it was good to learn something new. It was the halfcab ollie. I was trying to kickturn fakie and as soon as I get the fakie kickturn I tried to pop it. It worked out fine and just need a little practice.
Van’s progression was just amazing. He is doing more tricks now. He needs to learn ledge tricks and rail tricks. I added a couple of tricks of him off the stairs that I have not used, he is just 14 so he has a lot of time to do that. Haha.
Enjoy the video!
Cheers!

Good day Skatehive!
Here is a little skate session from last friday. We visited the YAs island south skatepark and it was amazing.
I really had a great time and the park have great obstacles and ramps suited for begginers and advance skaters.
As seen in the video, we only skated a portion of the park and I think it's enough since we just skated here the first time. and also we did not have a lot of time. three hours is not enough!
I think thismay be the best skatepark here in Abu Dhabi. not just because the ledges are smooth and low to high, but because I really felt like it was designed properly.
The shades are nice too since summer is just around the corner. it looks great on photos!
cheers!

Here's a little session with my friend Czar.
I have not skated with anyone from my hometown since 2019. We had a great time and it is refreshing to skate with a friend.
I learned a new trick this day. Czar saw my Five O and suggested I do a shove it out. He said it looks possible. I tried it and it worked put after a few tries! it was a great session and we shall be skating next week again and get some nice clips.
thanks for watching!

Good day everyone!
This is just a quick skate session. I decided to skate the old park as I have not been there a long time.
The park was so clean and the ledges are sticky. It appears that people have not been here since the opening of the new skateparks in other areas.
I battled some tricks and had a great time now skating at 90% of my full right feet strength. there was still a little pain but when the adrenaline kicks in it just fades out. Issue is, it comes back again after the session, hahaha, I am so old!!
enjoy watching!

Good day Skatehive!
Today I tried to learn the Nolli Fronstide Crooked grind. As I have said in my previous video, due to my left feet hurting because of Uric acid, I tried to learn tricks that does not require much of a s tutorial pop or ollie. I was browsing around in youtube and I saw this tutorial for nollie crooks. It seems possible for me to do because I will not be putting pressure on my right feet and it will just guide the tail of the baord during the trick. I watched several other tutorials and decided to make this trick the one I would learn and do.
I only did it on this small curb at the skatepark and learning this trick is damn hard. It needs to be precise and foot position during the nollie pop and the pinch is crucial. I was struggling at first because I do not have that consistent frontside crooks. I was able to land a few but it is not as long as I wanted to be. It just grinded and I had to stop because my feet was flaring up. I was glad I made one because I had to really stop and I do not want to push myself knowing I am not at 100%. So here it is, I hope you like it and I hope I gave some useful tips for the people who want to try this trick!!
cheers!
@mark0318
P.S. I would say the Right feet is at 75% healed, but then I am feeling something on my left feet, tsktsk.. haha!!!Peace!

Good Day Skatehive!
It has been a while since my last upload. I was having problems with uric acid and I could not really skate because of the pain for almost three weeks!!
This video I tried to push through the pain but I really could not bend my ankle and raise my heel. Basically, I cannot pop my board at all.
So watching youtube and not skating, I stumbled upon slappy tricks. I looked at it and Ihtought that if it does not have an ollie, I could probably do it.
First thing I thought I could do was slappy crooks since I can crooked grind, but as I tried it, I realized it needs power for the pinch and my right feet is just dragging and being painful everytime I tried.
So I thought maybe noseslides I can do it and maybe the pain will be tolerable. So i tried it and it was nice!
Slappy's are fun, I hope I can learn more tricks. Hopefully my feet will heal and I'll try to get more tricks in!
I am talking too much in this video, O hope it is tolerable. hahaha. It is my forst time to video myself learning tricks.
cheers!

Good day Skatehive!
Welcome to my first official skate session this 2022. I was not able to skate last January 01, 2022 because it was raining here in Abu Dhabi.
Everyone was surprised with the sudden rain and nobody was expecting it.
So I had to wait until the next weekend January 8,2022 to have my first skate session. this time I had to skate alone because nobody was available to skate. everyone is busy with their own schedule.
I broke in my shoes and my board, the crispy pop was great and the grip of the new shoes is really something. I rarely skate new stuff so this is a genuine feeling for me. haha. I'll probably be using this set up for ano ther 6months or 8months.

Good day skatehive!
Here is a little edit I was working with last night. I downloaded the Splice app video editor and I tried to edit on it. The results was great and I was wondering If I can buy it or no.
I capture my skate videos on a GOpro and usually edit it on my phone, during the long bus rides from work to the accomodation camp. Instead of sleeping, I edit videos and make use of that time to do something productive on the blog. i came across this splice app while searching the apple store on a new editing app. splice was highly rated and it should be. there was a whole gallery of songs and the transition effects was things I have not seen before on an app! So i downloaded it and tested it. The best way to test it is the slowmotion. the slomo was impressive and the library of songs was just crazy cool.
Anyway, this is only a short edit because my clips are few. I used some videos O have not uploaded and some videos I think I spent a lot of time trying the trick. hahah.
enjoy and thanks for watching!
cheers!

Good day everyone!
This is my first impression and somewhat unboxing of the Shane O’Neill pro model skateboard shoe.
I have watched Shane skate since I he came up and he is one of the greatest to ever do it. His tech skills are legendary! He always wears Janoski pro model but after a long time he finally had his own pro shoes.
This shoe is quite impressive and met expectations. It is a great design by Shane and NikeSB! Please watch my full vid on Youtube and 3speak!
Cheers!
