Title: Blessed are the Pure in Heart 🙏
Theme: What is your true motivation?
📖 Sermon Scripture: Matthew 5:8, Proverbs 21:2, & 1 Samuel 16:7. Opening Scripture: Psalm 51:10-12. Key verse: Matthew 5:8.
The heart is the center of who we are as a person. It represents our true selves.
So, when Jesus refers to those who are pure in heart he is looking beyond the outward and visible and is looking into our hearts to see our true motivation. 👀
Why do we really worship? Why do we really come to church? Why do we really pray? 🤔

Title: Blessed are the Merciful 🙏
Theme: Showing mercy means to be forgiving
📖 Sermon Scripture: Matthew 5:7, & Genesis 50:15-21. Opening Scripture: Matthew 6:9-15.
Are we saved by forgiving others? Doesn’t the Bible teach that we are “saved by Grace through faith” and NOT by “works”?
So, how do we understand Jesus’ teaching both in Matthew 5:7, and Matthew 6:9-15? 🤔
Obviously, being merciful and forgiving others is crucial to the life of a disciple. Let’s explore this challenging command more deeply! 👀

Title: “Blessed are Those Who Hunger and Thirst”
Theme: Living a righteous life
📖 Sermon Scripture: Matthew 5:6, James 1:22-27, and Micah 6:6-8. Opening Scripture: Galatians 5:16-25. Key verse: Matthew 5:6.
What are you really hungry for in life? Do you hunger for the things of the Spirit, or of the Flesh? 🤔
The opposite of seeking the things of the world is to seek first the kingdom of God and all its righteousness (Matthew 6:33). 🙏
However, is righteousness only about good moral behavior and self-discipline? Or is God also seeking a true righteousness that is more than following laws and is expressed deeply in our relationships with the least of these? 👀

Title: Blessed are the Meek
Theme: Disciples are not demanding and aggressive, but gentle and
sacrificially minded…
Sermon Scripture: Matthew 5:5 and Colossians 3:12-15
Opening Scripture: Galatians 5:22-23
Does having the right to do something mean you should? Does having the power to do something make it right? We all want justice. We all want to get what we feel we deserve. However, is this mindset godly or worldly? The character of the disciple is evidenced by meekness that leads to knowing when to hold back, remain humble, and possibly even lose for the sake of saving or serving another.

Title: Blessed Are Those Who Mourn
Theme: Mourning over our sin
Sermon Scripture: Matthew 5:4 & Joel 1:13-15; 2:12-14
Opening Scripture: Psalm 51:1-12
Have you ever been heartbroken? Have you ever experienced the depths of grief coming from the loss of someone you love? At such moments of weeping and despair we often think of the words of Jesus from Matthew 5:4, “Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.” But is this really what Jesus had in mind? Was he referring to sorrow over our losses, or something deeper? If the Beatitudes are meant to be the spiritual qualities of a disciple, then perhaps we’ve misread Jesus’ teaching here. Let’s wrestle with this passage together!

Theme: The importance of proclaiming God’s Word
Sermon Scripture: Acts 20:7-12
Opening Scripture: Romans 10:14-17
Have you ever fallen asleep during the sermon? It’s okay. We are only human. As Jesus once said to his sleepy disciples, “The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.” In today’s scripture we encounter a seemingly random story about a young disciple who falls asleep during Paul’s long sermon. But, nothing is random in the Bible, right? So what can we learn from this strange anecdotal episode in Acts 20?

Title: “Goldilocks Christians”
Theme: Don’t focus on the non-essentials (preferences -v- essentials)
Sermon Scripture: Ephesians 4:1-16 (Proverbs 26:4-5)
Opening Scripture: 1 Corinthians 1:10-25
Does church always have to meet your needs and demands? Do you walk away from churches that don’t 100% align with your expectations? Do you insist that others must agree with you on every theological/doctrinal issue for their faith to be considered legitimate?
We want everything to be “just right.” Perhaps, however, a good question to ask when things are not as we would want in church or in the lives of others would be, “Is this essential, or just a preference?” Augustine once said, “In essentials, unity; in non-essentials, liberty; in all things, charity.” What do you think about that?

Sermon Scripture: John 10:22-30 (Psalm 19:1-4; Hebrews 3:12-15; John 14:26; 2 Timothy 3:14-17)
Opening Scripture: Isaiah 30:19-21
Is that God speaking to you? How do you know? Maybe it is just what you want to hear. Or, maybe you are being deceived. Or, maybe you’ve never felt like you have experienced God speaking to you! Yet, in any case, Jesus reminds us that His sheep know and recognize His voice. Yes, God speaks! …but how?

Theme: Forgiveness, not condemnation, is offered by Jesus
Sermon Scripture: John 8:1-11 (Romans 8:38-39 & John 10:28)
Opening Scripture: Psalm 103:6-14
Okay, so you failed God! You messed up. You sinned. What now? Hateful people, in the name of God, might tell you that you no longer have a place with God. They would see you condemned, cast out, or worse. But is this perspective from God… or the enemy? What can we learn from Jesus’ encounter with a woman caught in sin that will bring peace to our hearts and renew our commitment to righteousness?

Theme: Spiritual toughness in the face of spiritual attack
Sermon Scripture: 1 Kings 19:1-3, 9-18
Opening Scripture: 2 Corinthians 10:4-5
Feel like giving up? Being a faithful disciple is not easy, nor is it without persecutions, spiritual attacks, or uncertain times of trials. With even the smallest amount of difficulties in our lives we are tempted to throw up our hands and surrender. When things become difficult in our faith journey, do we accept defeat and uncertainty, or dig deeper for answers? When we come under spiritual attack, do we run and hide or stand and fight? When we are persecuted and met with resistance, do we hide our light or refuse to let the enemy win?

Theme: Wrestling with our doubts and learning to believe
Sermon Scripture: John 20:24-31 (Mark 9:24)

Do you ever wrestle with your beliefs about Jesus? Do you ever have those moments in the quiet of darkest night when your thoughts begin to drift and you wonder, “Is it all true? Is Jesus ‘really real’?” Is it a sin to question? Is it wrong to wrestle with our faith? In our final Jesus story for this series we consider the question about questioning. Can this be a part of the story we have to tell?

Have you ever been betrayed? Have you ever betrayed someone else?
Today we continue to tell the story to the Nations: Jesus came to set all people free. However, if we are honest, our story is not perfect. Today we shout Hosanna and glorify God, but what about tomorrow? Just as the Jerusalem chants quickly changed from ones of praise to shouts for Christ’s crucifixion, so we too sometimes turn away from Jesus in an instant of opportunity and sin. Is our betrayal any different from those in Jerusalem in the final days in the life of Jesus?

Title: Ancient Stories Retold
Theme: Jesus is the fulfillment of the Law, the Prophets, and the promises of the Old Testament. He is the full revelation of the God of Creation.
Sermon Scripture: Matthew 17:1-8, Matthew 5:17-18
Opening Scripture: Isaiah 53
Where did Christianity come from? How is it different from every other religion in the world that was thought up by and created by some random guy somewhere in a cave?
The Transfiguration of Jesus is a mystery that modern believers rarely study or consider. But, perhaps it can give us some answers to these questions. What does it mean? What is its significance? Why does it matter for our story today?
Today we continue to proclaim the story of Jesus and consider the amazing reality that His story does not begin on the cross, nor even in Bethlehem, but even before time itself… Jesus Is! Now, as our story draws closer to the Cross, we celebrate God’s faithfulness throughout time in a story that never changes and does not have its origins in the mind of man, but in the mind of God. In this true story, God’s steadfast love endures forever!

3. Maintain Relationship for Ongoing Understanding
Sermon Scripture: Acts 15:36-41, 1 Corinthians 9:3-7, & 2 Timothy 4:9-11
Opening Scripture: Colossians 3:12-17
Key Words:
Relationships are not easy. Communication is not easy. There will be mistakes made. There will be misunderstandings. There will be failures and fractures. It takes patiences, time, and investment in the other person to maintain the relationship through the disputes and disagreements so that a deeper understanding of each other can finally be achieved. It also takes forgiveness rooted in love, which is the true currency of investment in relationships.

Theme: Communication skills
Sermon Scripture: James 1:19-21 & Proverbs 18:13
In the art of successful communication with others, our starting point is not what we can clearly say or explain. Rather, our starting point and key is to be silent and listen. Can we humble ourselves enough to prioritize the message of others first? Can we have the patience and love to first seek to understand the other before insisting on being understood by them? Many broken relationships are mended by simply listening, asking questions, and seeking understanding.

Isn’t it a time for a fresh start? This time of year many are consumed by feelings of failure and regret as they reflect back on the past year. So many of our plans were unaccomplished. So many mistakes were made. As the music of the holiday celebrations fade, so do our spirits. But New Year’s is also a time for new beginnings! This is a time for fresh starts and second chances! Let us refuse the regrets and instead resolve to move forward and the joy that comes from making healthy changes!

Theme: Are we willing to be the Lord’s servant?
Sermon Scripture: Luke 1:26-38
It is an often overlooked point that Mary said “Yes.” She was freely willing to be a servant of the Lord. Though she understood that being a young unmarried virgin and pregnant would surely bring hardships, judgment, and disgrace, she valued living into her calling from the Lord over comfort and idealistic dreams of a perfect life. Are we also willing? As the Day of the Lord draws near, we will increasingly be called upon to make sacrifices and difficult choices for the sake of the coming Kingdom. The road will not be easy. Will we, like Mary, yield to the Spirit saying, “Let it be with me according to your word”?

Sermon Scripture: Mark 1:1-8
Are you baptized in the Spirit or in tradition? Being disciples of Jesus is not about culture, history, heritage, or family expectations. It is about receiving Jesus personally as Savior and Lord. It must be a personal faith in which we receive the presence of the Spirit into our lives. No one else can choose this for us and it is not enough to simply claim a connection with God through family or cultural heritage. Time is ever running out. Have YOU chosen Jesus today? Long ago John pointed to Jesus as the strong Savior, calling for all to repent and be baptized. His call still rings true today!

Theme: How are we actively Preparing for Christ’s Return?
Sermon Scripture: Isaiah 64:1-9
Opening Scripture: I Corinthians 1:3-9
Key Verse: Isaiah 64:8
Notes:
This is a complex prayer from Isaiah. On the one hand, he can’t wait for God’s Kingdom to come down. On the other hand, he laments over the sinfulness of God’s children in spite of the many mighty acts they’ve witnessed. They, like we, should know better. In the end, he acknowledges that God is the Master Potter and we are in His hands. His prayer: Oh, may God mold us and shape us so that we are prepared for the coming Kingdom! As we await the Second Coming of Christ, He is indeed preparing us for that return. Advent is a season to prepare.

This Sunday we pause to consider those who we may see and serve, but may never really know. Yet, God places us in their paths so that we might show kindness and service to these strangers who may be needy and/or marginalized. We need not even travel to distant lands to find “the least of these.” They are all around us every day. So, how seriously do we take Jesus’ instructions in Matthew 25?

Don’t keep a good thing to yourself. Everyday we see social media posts telling us where to find the best places to eat, the biggest deals in the marketplace, and what new great movie we should watch. When people know of a good thing they naturally want to share it! Why, then, do so many disciples not feel just as compelled to share the best deal ever–life with Jesus?! As Paul concludes his book he reveals his deep passion for sharing the Good News of Christ with all who have never heard nor understood. This is a convincing example and a powerful call to share what we have received.

Did I mention God has expectations for the disciple? Freedom in Christ does not mean free to do as one pleases! On the contrary, we are finally free to do as God pleases. In this passage Paul lays out some of the basic markers of disciple life. These fruits of transformation are not a burden, but a joy. They are lifegiving changes to our character and behavior that bring true fulfillment in our lives.

Theme: We can have peace through faith in God
Sermon Scripture: Romans 5:1-21
Opening Scripture: Romans 6:20-23
Life is hectic. Our work, family, and social commitments create enough chaos and feelings of unrest on their own. However, without Christ in our lives we experience an even deeper sense of inner turmoil, though we do not understand its source. We may not know it, but apart from Christ we are in conflict with God. This conflict is the true source of our feelings of fear, anxiety, worry, and, more deeply, that nagging sense that something in our lives is simply just not quite right. By faith, through grace, Jesus ends the conflict and disconnect between us and God and brings real peace into our lives. Grace moves us into that “life to the full” promised by Jesus in John 10:10.

We, who are not righteous, can be made righteous and have peace with Almighty God.

Opening Scripture: Proverbs 1:1-7
“Does that make sense?” Have you ever read a passage of scripture and found yourself totally confused? Context, motivation of the writer, translation, circumstances of the text, and many other factors are all important considerations in understanding and interpreting scripture. It is not enough to simply take a passage at face value and read it in a surface way. Let’s go deeper! Let’s truly investigate the meaning. And, most importantly, let us remain open to the Spirit’s leadership as our true teacher and revealer of Truth.

Sermon Scripture: Matthew 26:17-30
Opening Scripture: Revelation 3:20
Theme: Wake up and pay attention to Jesus
The disciples thought that they were simply enjoying a nice Passover meal with their teacher. But suddenly Jesus turns the meal upside down with an incredible sign. He rattles the solemn purpose of the ancient ritual with a shocking claim about his body and blood. We can imagine that the disciples were caught off guard and perplexed. Jesus often catches us off guard. This is because he did not come to give our lives ease and balance, but to make us uneasy and set us off balance enough to realize where we stand, to wake us up, to shock us back to life.

Sermon Scripture: Malachi 3:1-7 and 1 Peter 1:24-25

Theme: God and His Word never change
It seems like there is not much we can count on anymore in this world. People are fickle. They come and go in our lives. Some will often let us down. Governments that seemed eternal are toppled in a day. Programs meant to bring stability can even bring unrest and uncertainty. We long for something lasting, something permanent, something dependable.
What many of us do not realize is that what we long for exists! What we really hunger for is the timelessness of God’s Word. Amazingly, this timeless text becomes timely in every situation and moment of every day of our lives! It is dependable, never failing, and unchanging.

Title: “You Can’t Get There From Here”
Sermon Scripture: Philippians 4:10-13
Opening Scripture: Habakkuk 3:17–19
Theme: being content and satisfied -vs- always being discontent and longing for something else or the “next big thing”
Do you ever find yourself feeling stuck in an endless pursuit of the next big thing or the next all important step in your life? Perhaps you tell yourself, “Oh when I finally get there…” or, “When I finally reach that goal…”! Then, we believe we will finally be satisfied and fulfilled in life. We are so obsessed with where we are not that we cannot fully enjoy where we are! We are so obsessed with what we don’t have that we never enjoy what we do have! God reminds us to be thankful for what he has provided in every situation. If we are never satisfied “here,” we will never be satisfied “there.” Counting the ways he is blessing us NOW gives us a joyful new appreciation for what we have and who we are! In this Joy we are better able to live the life to the full that Jesus promised.

Opening Scripture: Genesis 1:26-27
Theme: Be yourself, be genuine to who God made you to be, for you are fearfully and wonderfully made.
Learning to be happy as God has made us and being true to ourselves is a struggle sometimes. We see how others live, dress, and behave and perhaps want to imitate them. The Enemy and the World capitalize on this impulse and try to persuade us to live in a way that is contrary to how God created us and longs for us to be. As we attempt to be more like the world, the more captive we become and the more miserable we are. We will never have true joy until we embrace our true identity in Christ. Title: Timothy: No Branch Is Too Small To Burn
Sermon Scripture: 1 Timothy 4:12-16
Opening Scripture: Acts 2:1-21
Theme: We are qualified and equipped by the Spirit
Do you ever feel too insignificant to make a Kingdom difference in this world? Everyone believes they are “too” something to do anything! Timothy, no doubt, often felt too inexperienced and too young when going to elders, leaders, and rabbis in the synagogues to preach the gospel. Perhaps he felt like he didn’t have the knowledge, training, or eloquence to stand before others who seemed to be far more qualified. Yet, Paul encouraged Timothy to not look down on himself because of his inadequacies. Perhaps we need the same encouragement today!
Pentecost Day reminds us that it is the Holy Spirit, symbolized by uncontainable fire, that empowers us and qualifies us. When we allow this holy fire to burn freely within us we will see that nothing is impossible because we are no longer depending on our own strength. We are instead allowing the strength of the Lord to work through us.

Sometimes we need to challenge others to meet their full potential. If we are experiencing the fire of the Holy Spirit in our lives, how can we possibly be content in watching others passively ignore their full potential in Christ? Deborah could not sit back and be silent. Instead, she boldly challenged Barak to become the warrior he was meant to be.
Who can you encourage and challenge today? May we let the Fire of the Holy Spirit spread to ignite the passions in others!

Are you facing giants today that seem undefeatable and overwhelming? In this sermon series, “Fired Up,” we are learning that the Spirit of God empowers us to be more than conquerors over life’s challenges and obstacles. David defeated Goliath only because he was on the side of God and empowered by the Spirit to do so.
Likewise, we must take the fight to the enemy and, as godly spiritual warriors, stand firm to defeat the Enemy. Now is the time for believers to be brave, fierce, and fiery in defending the faith, spreading the gospel, and demonstrating the love of God in a world of hate!

Title: Macro Sabbath
Sermon Scripture: Mark 6:30-35
Theme: Taking longer periods of rest and renewal
You probably won’t find any examples of vacation time in the Bible. However, the spirit of longer periods of rest is certainly there. Macro Sabbath, the practice of giving yourself permission to take seasons of longer rest such as vacations, gap years, short term career changes, or cutting back commitments for a month, gives us a deeper rest. This is the spirit of the Jubilee year, but on a more annual cycle. It also connects with the term “sabbatical,” an extended rest and renewal period every seven years. However, it is not just for pastors and professors! We all need seasons of extended rest and refocus to renew our sense of purpose and vision for our own spiritual journeys.

Sabbath practices of rest, silence, thanksgiving, prayer, and scripture reflection are not just for Sunday! Throughout each day we are encouraged by scripture to take frequent moments to renew our spirits and refresh ourselves for the tasks to come. Otherwise, we are like pressure pots with the lids seal tight… it is only a matter of time before the pressure becomes too much and we blow! However, in loving God daily, in small but frequent ways, we find our love-relationship with Him renewed, which leads to our own renewal as well. 5 minutes here, 5 minutes there, or even a short prayer and a deep breath can make such a difference!

Key Verse: Matthew 27:46
This sermon reminds us that Jesus did not come to Jerusalem to be celebrated and to enjoy himself. If so, he would have stayed on the donkey. Rather, Jesus clearly stated many times that he must go to Jerusalem to die. His body was broken there so that we may be made whole. He was rejected so that we may be accepted. Speaker: Pastor Mason Smith of Multination Church Frankfurt Title: Serving on Dirty Dishes Sermon Scripture: Luke 11:37-44 Opening Scripture: Deuteronomy 15:7-11 Theme: Serving the poor and powerless Key Verse: Luke 11:42 The Pharisees talk quite a lot about righteousness in terms of personal piety. Yet, they neglected what Jesus identified as true righteousness-Justice and the Love of God. Justice is impossible without considering and counteracting injustice. This involves meeting the needs of the poor and powerless and working to end systems of exploitation and limitation. Likewise, loving God is impossible without loving our neighbor. Love for our neighbor requires loving action! Giving service and worship to God without meeting the needs of the lowly is like serving Him on dirty dishes.

Sermon Recap: What Will You Serve the Guests?

Sermon Scripture: Luke 9:10-17

Theme: God multiplies our efforts to serve others

Key Verse: Luke 9:13a (But he said to them, “You give them something to eat.”)

Jesus said, “Feed them.” And, the disciples did obey, giving all that they had to feed the multitude. Impossible! Yet, in the hands of Jesus, their inadequate offering to the people is multiplied and transformed, leaving no one hungry. When we offer what we have to serve others, it is never too little in God’s hands! Sometimes we fail to serve because we think we have too little to give. Yet something as simple as sharing a cup of coffee with someone having a difficult week, or calling someone up who hasn’t been to church lately, or supporting a Team in even a small way, or having someone over to your home for a meal can all lead to MAJOR and powerful movements of God!

Sermon Scripture: Luke 7:36-50

Theme: Showing welcome and love to the lost

Jesus welcomes sinners to His table while we often push them away. Rather, we should be like Jesus in showing love, hospitality, hope, and forgiveness to the lost sinners so that they too may find room at the table to worship at the feet of Jesus.

Sermon Recap
Theme: Encountering Jesus will change us forever. We cannot stay the same!
Scripture: Matthew 2:1-12

Henry Blackaby famously wrote, “You cannot stay the way you are and go with God.” The Magi encountered the Christchild and “returned home by another way.” But this is more than just a reference to the route they took with camels and caravans. They left Bethlehem changed, transformed, and could never be the same as they were when they came.

Has our Advent and Christmas Journey to see the baby Jesus made, an impact on us that will leave us forever changed? I pray so. In fact, my prayer is that each person's lime at Multination Church will indeed be an enduring encounter with Jesus that transforms and reforms each one in such a way that when they leave here, whether to return to his/her own country, or to another land, that they will not go the same as they were when they came here.

As we celebrate Christmas and rejoice in the story of Bethlehem. The light has come into the world! What does that mean for us today? In a world where there still seems to be so much darkness, do we see the light? Do we experience this light daily?

On this final Sunday of Advent we celebrate Jesus as "the reason for the season." We also celebrate the reason for his birth - salvation! In the hands of that little baby, born long ago in a manger, we find the power to destroy sin and death! Now, over 2000 years since Bethlehem, we still proclaim this mystery, "God with Us" and celebrate the salvation his birth would usher in for us, here, now, today!

Sermon Recap: Isaiah 35:1-10

Most of us experience a state of wilderness or loneliness at different stages of our life. We can’t go over them or around them, we have to go through them.

God has assured us that we won’t have to go through them alone. He would be right there with us through it all.

This is our assurance, we just need to wait upon him and he would be right there with us.

Long ago the prophet Isaiah foretold of a shoot coming from the stump of Jesse who would restore the Kingdom of God on earth to an even more glorious and perfect state. This beautiful image also teaches us that in the New Kingdom there will be no more pain, suffering, or danger. In Advent we acknowledge that we longingly await this final return of Christ because it will be wonderful, amazing, and perfect in every way! Truly, we have something to celebrate!

The sermon passage was taken from 2 Kings 5:1-15. This passage describes how Naaman is cured of leprosy through the action of a little Israelite girl.

How are we to be a missionary in today’s world? It does not mean packing up and going away to distant lands, but we can be missionaries right where we are.

Talking of the characteristics of the little girl who was compassionate, credible and wise - in the same way, we can show the love of Christ to others through our lives and our actions.

False Labels: Ephesians 5:1-14

In our physical world today, the content of an item determines the label. This has made us give ourselves false labels based on who we think we are.

As children of God, we already have a label. Our God given label is what should determine our content(who we are). We keep changing daily and re-aligning ourselves to truly fit into the labels God has given us.

You are special and loved by God. No matter how you feel currently, the label you should embrace is ‘God’s special love’ and many more God given labels.

Persecuted church Sunday - Follow the trailblazers

2 Timothy 1:3-7

.

Trailblazers are those first brave souls who trek through an uncharted wilderness to create a path for others to follow later. Who were the Christian trailblazers–the spiritual mothers and fathers–that are now deceased who helped lead you to Christ, nurtured your faith, and continue to inspire you even to this day? In remembering them, we are remembering the light of Christ that shone through them and we are giving glory to God. We also find that in remembering them our own faith is renewed and we are encouraged toward a deeper faith today

Sermon recap 🕯️

.

Matthew 23:25-28

.

On Reformation Sunday we are reminded of the fight of Martin Luther that ignited the Protestant Reformation and its focus on relationship with God rather than empty religion. Jesus would refer to the focus on religion, ritual, and false piety as living within “white washed tombs.” It may be very impressive on the outside, but only dry bones and death on the inside. Overcoming the oppressiveness of religion, religious establishment, ritual, and religious tradition leads us to discover true hope in the gospel of grace given by Jesus the Christ

.

Relationship is what God desires, not religious traditions and rituals

Exodus 14:10-31 | Hope at the Edge of the Sea

Moses at the Red Sea, with Pharaoh's army pressing in, teaches us a powerful lesson about how to respond when it seems like we have nowhere to go and no way out of our situation. God will always make a way forward for His children.

Sermon recap | Hope in the Tomb | John 11:1-44

Jesus raises Lazarus from the dead. In this account we learn about the power of resurrection moments when life seems to be over. If Jesus can raise Lazarus to life from the pit of the grave, surely he can raise us up out of the darkest and most dead moments of life. No matter how hopeless our situation, our God is a God of life! John 10:10 is true in spite of what the spirits of falsehood might tell us (1 John 4)

Sermon recap | Hope in the Fire | Daniel 3

Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego stand as an enduring example of faith in the face of fire. They faced opposition and attack that threatened their very lives. Yet, they remained faithful even without any guarantees that God would preserve their lives. For them, it was better to die faithful than to cave to the pressures of persecution and attack. What can we learn from them that will help us to endure the pressure, attacks, and opposition to our faith that we face today?
