sometimes we think the pressure is a bad thing, but it’s actually a really good thing. a lot of the times we are so focused on how we feel about the pressure, we don’t take a second to understand where or why it’s there and that we are in a lot more control than you think. this episode is about using that pressure to your advantage. happy wednesday (:

We care too much. We focus on things that really don’t matter. This episode is learning that the struggle we should be focusing on is choosing what you should give a f**k about, because a lot of what is put in our faces constantly is not worth the amount of time we put into it. The reality is we are all going to die one day and we need to not try so hard. Let go and live some more with no need to change anything.
People pleasing is different for many of us and for me, it is still a behavior that I naturally do. It can be difficult feeling like you are selfish that you are choosing you, but you are not! As much as I struggle with this too, I have definitely learned a few things that I wanted to share for anyone who can relate. Filling your own cup is not selfish. You are not only loving yourself, but you are loving others by doing that. When you fill your own cup first, you are able to pour into others more. Enjoy and Happy Wednesday! (:

In this time of young adulthood, we are trying new things, exploring places out of our comfort zones, and just trying to make sense of all of it. Learning a bit more about yourself can help you align with what you really want without the limitations, doubts, and fears getting in the way. In this episode, I will be diving into a way to view different aspects of ourselves through three main things and how these all connect with each other to help reveal more about who you are truly, what you truly desire, and what is truly meant for you. This episode is to show you that everyone goes through this phase and you are not alone in it! This is not an episode of about "trying to figure it out" because we will always be discovering new things, but learning more will help you become more in tune with what is right for you and your path.
Something that I feel like is not talked about is feeling guilt when you are happy. This is something that I struggle with especially since in the past, I was so comfortable being sad and being happy felt almost unnatural. To this day, I still feel this way sometimes, but recognizing that you should not feel guilt for being happy is very important. Being a very empathetic person, I can relate easily to others, but I sometimes take on other people's emotions and forget that I am my own person and do not prioritize my own well being first. Remembering that happiness is just as temporary as sadness is something that I have to remind myself as and also not be afraid of feeling whatever it may feel. However, you should embrace the happiness as much as you embrace the sadness and stop comparing your emotions to others. Of course, love on others and understand others, but do not let it take away from your mental health. Protect your heart, be proud of yourself, and keep on living YOUR life!
I know for some of us, the holiday season can be intimidating. Maybe not feeling the best or maybe anxious about the New Year. Today, I will be sharing a little bit about how I have continued to enjoy this rest period as I am home in California despite the emotions or thoughts I may be having. I know with the holidays it can have such an expectation of feeling good about being home, feeling excited for the new year, or whatever it may be for you. I hope you all are taking time to get the rest you need and also take control of your emotions and thoughts and not how you would imagine it. Instead, I have been reminding myself of who I am without the emotions and thoughts that are just there. I am instead choosing to live and move forward with these emotions and thoughts, but they are in the back seat and I am the one driving in the car. Life ain't that serious and those emotions and thoughts are temporary! Let those emotions and thoughts be there and address and observe them, but do not let them stop you from continuing on your journey through life, even through the holiday season full of expectations.
This past week I have dealt with something I don't want to: being sick. I have been not able to do my normal routine and has caused me to feel a lot differently. A lot of it has been thoughts or emotions that I do not understand why they are there. Overthinking has been my worst enemy lately, but I have learned a few ways to take care of myself better and realize that my thoughts and emotions may look a little different right now and that is because I AM SICK!!! Learning to switch up your routine and resting can be so hard sometimes and an adjustment. My thoughts and what I am forced to do(like be in bed a ton) all day reminds me of when I used to be depressed which has been scary, but there is a lot more to why I have been feeling this way and I have learned more about what sickness can do to not just our bodies, but to our minds as well. In this episode, I will dive into the science between sickness and how it can affect our mental health and what you can do to take care of yourself and also just recognize that sometimes you are just overthinking it!! Don't be too hard on yourself!
Feeling like your emotions are taking over? Like they are moving you farther away from where you want to be? Well, that's far from the truth. As I am dealing with many emotions at once, it can make me feel like my life is falling out of place. However, remembering that this is meant for me and I am not supposed to feel any other way helps me embrace the struggles and helps me find purpose. I think I also am learning to adjust as I grow and learn more about what helps me through the unknown and the uncomfortable. Allowing our emotions and our struggles help guide us through it all is important to use it to your advantage and not see it as a weakness.
I think we can all agree struggling is not fun, but learning how to gain perspective when in the midst of it makes it so much more meaningful to me and not something I am afraid of anymore. Not only that, but embracing the struggles has made me grow immensely as well as learn how to be content through it all. Sharing what I’ve been dealing with is helping me be honest with myself and with you guys because we are all human and this is your reminder you are not alone in that and there’s so much good only if you look for it.
In this episode, I am sharing my life experiences throughout the past few days and how I have learned to face my anxiety and move in life with more acceptance and confidence with the place I am at currently in my life. Life has been so hectic but through the midst, I have learned a few things on how to just be a human throughout the process and experience fully as part of the human experience!
In this episode, I am going to be talking about how expectations can block you from moving forward, disconnect you from yourself and your values, and what you can do to live more with intention and acceptance of how things go, failure, or how you are even feeling. Lastly, learning to become comfortable in the uncomfortable can help you get out of the trap of expectations.
In this episode, I am going to dive into how comparison can make us lose sight of our own paths but how a change in perspective can give you a different way of looking at comparison. Trusting yourself and trusting your path is essential to leading you to the life that you want to live. Listening to your gut can help guide you to places or experiences you wouldn’t choose for yourself maybe. Lastly, I will be talking about the importance of just HAVING FUN and how gratitude and love for all that life is will give you peace and a sense of balance in life. Hope you all enjoy you freaking amazing humans !!
In this episode, I am going to get into ways to prevent burnout from happening, how to make yourself your top priority, and how to implement habits of taking care of yourself to make your life more balanced and more intentional.
