I am fortunate to get to speak to hundreds of women entrepreneurs every year, and I hear it time and time again. Women want to have businesses that not only generate prosperity for their lives and homes but also provide the time freedom to live a life built around what’s important to them. They want to do business differently.

If you’ve been tuning in to me at all over the past year, you’ve heard me speak about creating more time prosperity and wealth prosperity in your business. Today, I want to talk about what this means… what are the foundations that you need in your business to bring about more time prosperity and wealth prosperity, and what you need to do to set this up for your business.

But what do these terms really mean, and how can they transform our approach to business and life?

Understanding Time Prosperity

Time prosperity is about creating spaciousness in our schedules, allowing for big-picture thinking, downtime, and self-care. It’s the practice of ensuring that our lives are not constantly rushed, giving our nervous systems the chance to rest and rejuvenate. This slower, more deliberate pace enables us to transition smoothly between work and personal time, preventing burnout and promoting overall well-being.

In practical terms, time prosperity means setting boundaries, simplifying our business, saying no to non-essential tasks, and prioritizing what truly matters. It’s about designing our days with intention, carving out moments for reflection, creativity, and rest. This approach not only enhances our productivity but also enriches our personal lives, providing the balance we need to thrive.

Embracing Wealth Prosperity

Wealth prosperity goes beyond the traditional notion of financial success. While making money is important, wealth prosperity encompasses a broader, more holistic view of abundance. It involves enriching every aspect of our lives, from investing in meaningful experiences and nurturing relationships to prioritizing personal growth and self-discovery.

This type of prosperity allows us to create a life filled with joy, fulfillment, and freedom. It’s about having the resources and opportunities to pursue our passions, support our loved ones, and give back to our communities. Wealth prosperity encourages us to use our financial success as a tool to enhance our overall quality of life and make a positive impact in the world.

The Journey to Building a Prosperous Business

Building a business that supports both time and wealth prosperity is no easy feat. It requires time, patience, and, yes, hard work. I often speak with hundreds of women entrepreneurs each year, and a common theme emerges: success is not handed to us on a silver platter. It’s earned through dedication, resilience, and a willingness to navigate challenges.

The women I encounter in my community are living proof that we can do hard things. They’ve faced obstacles, celebrated victories, and continuously evolved their businesses.

As we navigate this exciting new era in business, I encourage you to reflect on what time and wealth prosperity mean for you. How can you create more space in your life for what truly matters? How can you use your financial resources to enrich your life and the lives of others?

Join me at the 10th Anniversary Extraordinary Women Ignite Conference, where we’ll delve deeper into these concepts and explore practical strategies to build businesses that embody time and wealth prosperity. This event is a unique opportunity to connect with like-minded women, learn from inspiring leaders, and ignite your passion for making a difference.

Let’s embrace the power of time and wealth prosperity, and together, create a future where our businesses not only succeed but also support our well-being and joy.

When I think about the growing up of my company – there are several elements that have contributed to this evolution. I’ve time-tested these in my own business and my client’s businesses. My desire is to give you some guide rails that you can apply to your business. So often it’s minute shifts in the good work we’re already doing that can make all the difference… sometimes it’s even doing less of one thing so that you can make more impactful choices with your time.

Today, I will share with you mindful strategies that give my business a rock-solid foundation.

  • The Declaration of a Strong Vision and Mission

I’m on a mission To raise up the voices, visibility and businesses of one million women entrepreneurs around the world for impact. My vision is a ripple effect of women’s wisdom changing the world, one soul business at a time because I believe that women’s wisdom is the medicine our earth needs.

So what is your mission and your vision? What are your values? I’d love to hear from you on this question because the ripple effect that we’re doing together is powerful. What’s the impact that you want to create? And vision not only stands for the ripple effect on our communities, for the individuals we serve, for the world but also for our own lives.

  • A SMART Business Model

Simplicity

This means simplicity in how you run your business. Choose a set or products that are simple, and do not have too many products. The simplicity of marketing is another side of it, choose the kind of marketing that you want and be good at doing that kind of marketing. When we think about how we market our business, we’re always hearing somebody coming at us with the fastest way to grow your business, you have to do it this way and you have to follow this formula. And I’d say no to all of that. It’s like really finding your lane and doing your lane well.

Market

Get to know your market, get into your customer’s journey, and know exactly what it is that brings them into your life when they come to you, where they’re at, and what’s the stories they’re in at that moment. Speak your client’s love language and help them be able to see where they’re going to go in order to build a connection with your soul client.

Ascending Premium Offer

Build the right business model to set yourself up for success, do the math, and know what your time is worth. Have the type of business model where you know your customer journey, the problems you’re helping them solve, and how you’re helping them overcome that. Help them look to the future, to what they are really desiring. And in order for them to get there, you have this amazing package that helps them get there.

Having an ascending premium-priced offer means that the first product that they come in to work with you on may not be that premium-priced offer but it’s the it’s the first step to that journey that you take your clients on and then the next offer is that second step so you have the next logical place for them to land to do more work with you because they have already started to build that know love and trust factor with you.

Repeatable

Have tools and assets to bring people into your business that you can re-leverage. For example, I have my Ignite Conference that I have done every single year and this will be my ninth year of doing it. It brings people into my community and brings people into my business. And it’s also a beautiful way that I can just refine, I can get better at what I’m doing. If you have good clarity on what you stand for in your messaging, you can repurpose your content in different ways.

Time Prosperity

When I think about time prosperity, this is not only a white space on our calendar, I strongly believe we have to have plenty of white space on our calendar so that we can do our biggest thinking, we can do our CEO work. But the other side of that is the energetics of time prosperity. And energetics of time prosperity is how you move between meetings, it’s how you are ending your day and taking a pause before you move into the activities of the evening. Pause, slow down. If we’re always rushing, we are not in time prosperity no matter how much white space is on your calendar. It’s the energetics of time prosperity that really changes how we can serve.

  • Ownership of your Leadership of Thought

Find clarity in what it is that you want your voice to stand for. My mission and vision really helped to define this and even more so a deeper connection to my customer’s journey to me. Start to make space to develop our own leadership of thought. That leadership of thought, what it is that we stand for, what messages need to be heard in the world, and the connection to our soul clients waiting to find us. I had to learn that you can’t outsource your leadership of thought. This is something that has to come from within. Are you still following the marketing formulas and spitting out messages that sound just like everyone else? True leadership requires you to go inside and develop your own thoughts. Give yourself some soulful space to hear what messages want to flow from you, and you may be surprised at what shows up.

  • Igniting the Fire

Once you are aligned with your vision, you’ve set up your SMART business strategies in place so that you’ve got a solid business model, and you’ve brought your leadership of thought to life, it’s time to add some fire, my friends. This is the mixture of inner work, self-care, and nurturing of our soul, and combining that with outer visibility. That means showing up and being seen in all of our brightest light. There’s no hiding in our inner fire. This goes way beyond merely having confidence. The true transformation comes when we embody this fire and share our voice. This is the alchemy moment.

And this is what we do at Extraordinary Women Prosper, my friends. You will find clarity in the vision of your business, you will learn SMART Business Models that raise up your time prosperity and wealth prosperity, you will find clarity in your leadership of thought and soul client messaging and you will ignite the fire of you.

I am a big fan of the work of the Women’s Foundation across our nation. I have sat on the trustee board and served the Colorado Women’s Foundation for over a decade. And while I am an honorary trustee now and no longer an active board member, I believe in its mission and vision more than ever. A future where Colorado women and girls of every background and identity prosper.
Some of the proudest professional moments of my life are sparked by my engagement with the Women’s Foundation of Colorado. The work the organization is making from philanthropic giving, meaningful research and essential advocacy work, to creating systematic changes in our state is near and dear to my heart.

As we wrap up this Women’s History Month, I’m excited to introduce you to Christina Gordon, a co-founder and CEO of the Women’s Foundation of Boston. When Christina reached out to me for an interview, I was an instant yes! She had come across research that had indicated that only 1.9% of all charitable giving in the US is directed toward nonprofits that serve women and girls and that investing in women is high-impact investing. The data shows that investing in women has a multiplier effect. Women reinvest 90% of their incomes in their families and their communities, creating positive economic returns across generations and throughout communities.

In This Episode:

  • Christina talks about how they started the Women’s Foundation of Boston
  • The massive underinvestment in women and girls domestically
  • How they impacted thousands of Greater Boston women and girls
  • Their mission on creating and funding economically empowering programming for Greater Boston women and girls

  • Their focus of funding on programming that will really yield high salaries
  • She shares one of the stories from an organization they funded that stands out for her
  • Why investing in women has lifted up entire communities

Seeing a huge opportunity to make a difference in her community, she and her team joined together to start the Women’s Foundation of Boston. She is a trustee of a private foundation, a member of Women Moving Millions and currently sits on the board of Rosie’s Place, a sanctuary for poor and homeless women in Boston.

Women’s wisdom is the medicine our earth needs.

As women, we all have an inner firedancer that burns brightly and is full of life. When we embody the energetic presence of the firedancer, the possibilities are abundant, especially in our business. And I am so honored by the many extraordinary women who are entering my mastermind programs as we kick off this new year – some women new to me, and others I’ve known for years and am honored they have chosen me as their guide in this new year. I’m excited for the voices that will come into the world… in leadership, in thought, in impact. As I look across the businesses represented in the circles, I know that their work is needed in the world and that there are people awaiting to find them… right now. I’m excited about the expansion of their business and what that will mean to their lives, and the lives of those touched by her work… It’s the ripple effect and it’s why I love the work I get to do in this world. There’s still time to join us, so if you want to learn more jump out to coachingwithkami.com and apply.

These past few weeks have given me time to reflect on what has worked in my business and my client’s businesses, as well as look at the trends I see coming.

Today, I thought I’d bring some of these insights to you.

  1. The Great BreakupThere are many reasons why more and more women are saying goodbye to their corporate jobs and stepping into the world of being an entrepreneur according to McKinsey’s recent research. Women leaders are just as ambitious as men and it’s increasingly important that they work for companies that prioritize flexibility, employee well-being, diversity, equity, and inclusion.

It will be 15 years this year since I left my VP of Marketing job behind me, and it’s been the most tremendous journey of growth, evolution, and expansion than I have ever gone on in my life. The ripple effect of my work today is tremendously more impactful than it ever was during my corporate days.

I believe this trend of women leaving their corporate jobs to own their own voice and impact will continue. We have discovered new freedoms, new power, and new ways to lead – and that is one of the gifts we give our world as we learn to show up in the world in our new light.

I love that I have discovered a sweet spot in my own business of helping former corporate escapees accelerate their growth back to their former corporate salaries, leveraging our past success and communities, but doing it in an entirely different energy… one connected to soul wisdom and leading in new ways… defining a slower and more grounded way in life, trusting our intuition and letting her guide us… a journey to time prosperity and wealth prosperity!

  1. Streamline and SimplifySavvy successful entrepreneurs will continue to streamline and simplify their businesses in smart ways.

They’ve built smart and scalable business models that solve their soul client’s biggest challenges. They have found clarity in their voice – their brand and marketing messaging, because there is laser-focused clarity in who they serve and what their biggest needs are.

Some questions you might ask yourself as you look into your 2023 include: Are there products you want to release in 2023? Have you mapped your customer journey – why people come into your business, what their most expensive problems are, what their biggest desires are? How do these answers shift as they go deeper into their journey with you? Do you have a high-value offer that helps your client in that journey?

I invite you to look at your brand, your marketing, and your products and ask yourself these questions. It’s a great opportunity to finetune some of these fundamental basics in your business. We always have space to refine our businesses, no matter the stage of your business.

  1. Community and Deeper ConnectionI see the expanding importance of relationships and community. What’s key here is the relationship. Where and how can you build deeper relationships? This isn’t a high-volume game, but rather, selecting a community where you feel alignment and connection. Building your own communities. Getting to know people at a deeper level. Building strategic partnerships.

As you look at your own circles of community, start with your own community – how are you engaging your clients and circles of influence? Are there ways you can bring more magic to that space? How can you create more meaningful connections among the many in your circles?

Then look to the communities in which you are a member. Here I will remind you to simplify, for you can’t build deep connections with a half dozen communities all at once. Remember the key is relationship. Select 1 or 2 and then engage… deeply.

  1. Thought LeadershipYou can’t outsource your leadership of thought. Only you can bring your wisdom to life. It is only you that has your unique set of experiences that makes your wisdom yours.

What does this mean? It means making dedicated space in your business to think. To brainstorm. To mindmap. To write. To bring your ideas to life.

Once you have a framework around your ideas and messages … I call this a content strategy … you can leverage hired resources to share these ideas, but the compilation of voice and vision is yours to design. I’ve seen too many people… myself included… turn over their marketing and messaging before it was really ready to be leadership quality… and what happens is that the message just gets lost in the noise. You sound like everyone else, and you lose your beautiful, soulful connection to some of your most powerful wisdom.

In our world where information flows readily and easily, we are inundated with so many messages. In order to stand out from the noise, the leaders of today and tomorrow will be the ones who have found clarity in meaningful content and stories that connect to their audience. Make the space for you to be in your thought leadership messaging. Build upon it. Speak to it. And repurpose it.

  1. ResiliencyThis ties back to #1 on this list for sure. The women leaving corporate America left because they were burnt out and exhausted from trying to fit into a culture that didn’t work for them.

I know that it’s really easy to fall back into the doing it all patterns that we started as executives, and apply this to our business. And the truth is … we can’t do our best work if we allow that to happen. In fact, when I say that Women’s Wisdom is the medicine our earth needs, I am speaking of how we are changing and leading the work cultures of tomorrow.

What I see happening in the world of women entrepreneurs is that they are catching themselves when they start to fall back into these old patterns, and they are redesigning ways of operating their businesses, making self-care space for themselves – in mindfulness, movement, and spirituality. They are learning to listen to her inner wisdom and intuition and allowing her to be a key influence in her day-to-day decisions. Basically, her intuition is taking a seat at her board table, along with her mentors and strategic partners.

As women, we are shapeshifting how business is done… with soul and with strategy. We are getting better at setting boundaries, saying no, and defining our own pathways – for the sake of ourselves and our families first, and our communities and our world second. This is why women’s wisdom is the medicine our earth needs.
