WELCOME BACK! It's 2023, and Cassie and Lindsey are ready to tackle the mess. The first How to Mom episode of the year is centered around how to organize toys. The post-Christmas toy attack has hit both Cassie and Lindsey's houses, and the new year's goal is to get organized. This week, in addition to sharing some highs and lows from the holidays, some juicy daycare chronicles, and what they've been momfluenced by, Cassie and Lindsey dig into the research of why it's important to organize toys, how to do a toy rotation, and what products you need to be successful!
You're ready to have baby #2 (or #3, or #4), and realize you're running out of space in your home! Or you want a dedicated toy room (or office, or guest room) and realize it's time to get your kids in the same room.
It seems like we all grew up sharing a room with a sibling at some point, but the transition can be totally overwhelming, especially if the kids you're putting in the same room are babies and toddlers, whose sleep is SO unpredictable! This week Cassie + Lindsey share tips from the experts (as well as first hand tips from Lindsey!) on how to make this transition, and what steps you can take to make it easier!
They also dive into your favorite segments, and are officially counting down until Christmas!

Bedtime for babies of any age can easily be a source of stress and anxiety, but studies show a consistent bedtime routine can help a newborn distinguish between night and day, help a baby fall asleep and stay asleep, help a toddler regulate their emotions with a regular routine, and even has emotional benefits for mom (or dad)!
This week Cassie + Lindsey dive into why and obviously how to create a bedtime routine. They share what they did with their firsts, and how they have added a second into the mix, which does change the flow and elongate the process!
In addition, they talk about affordable and practical stocking stuffers, share some baby led weaning meals they've cooked (or ordered) this week, and as always share their relatable lows and their happy highs!

When should you transition to a sippy cup? Do you use water or milk? What's the best cup to use?
Cassie and Lindsey dig into it all this week!
Being away from your kids is hard enough - being away from them and trying to figure out how on earth to get 75 ounces of PURE GOLD breastmilk home is much harder. Whether you're gone for a night, a week, or even longer, the logistics of having the right pump and parts, pump cleaning supplies, ice packs, travel bags, and more is so overwhelming. This week Cassie and Lindsey share their experience in traveling without their babies, and talk not only about the mom guilt of being away, but also the hurdles jumped to get that milk home!
They also dive into some great segments, including a new segment where they share their latest baby led weaning meals!

On this week's episode of How to Mom, Cassie and Lindsey look at the latest research from the CDC, WHO, and other alphabet soup organizations to figure out once and for all how and when to consume alcohol while nursing. Should you abstain completely until your breastfeeding journey ends (answer: no). Should you be pumping and dumping? Diluting? Is it true that if you can find your baby you can feed your baby?
So many questions (and so much judgement) go with drinking alcohol while being a breastfeeding or pumping mom. We're here to share everything we've learned in our research + what we've done while raising and nursing our kids so you can (safely) say bottom's up!
This week, Cassie and Lindsey revisit some of your favorite segments, including Mommy highs and lows of the week, Daycare Chronicles, and Mom-fluenced. They also take a look at the million packing lists available out there for nervous moms-to-be preparing to go to the hospital, and discuss what items they brought the first time, what they brought the second time around as more seasoned moms, and what they wish they had added to the bag. They talk about snacks, gifts for the nurses, and the lactation consultant's worst nightmare - nipple shields.
