Here we are at the beginning of another Lenten season and you know what comes with that...Reading through a gospel for 40 days leading to Easter. Listen as Pastor Tim invites us to this year's reading journey!
We are very accustomed to reading all 4 gospels "together" however, that sometimes erases the nuances and particularities contained in each book. Last Sunday, Pastor Tim presented "How To Read John", an introductory bible study that is meant to prepare us for the Lenten reading this year, the Gospel of John. Since everyone couldn't be attendance, it seemed like a worthy endeavor to re-present here on the channel (and bring Anthony along!). Hope you enjoy!
A brief sermon from Pastor Tim. We hope it encourages you as we walk through this season that is joyful, yet can also be filled with worry, stress and fear.
It's our 60th episode...but also our last for a bit. Time constraints and other responsibilities will preclude the recording of our podcast for awhile. Thank you for all the support thus far and all 60 episodes are archived for you to go catch up on!

A person's home has the ability to give us quite a bit of insight into them. Color schemes, decor and sometimes the zip code or neighborhood can clue us in to who they are. So if we are living, or abiding, in Jesus, our lives as believers should make our "address" obvious.

Access. Protection. Just two of the functions that are associated with doors and/or gates, but access to where, what or whom? Protection from what's inside or outside? Jesus called himself "The Gate", but what is the totality of that statement? Tune in to hear Tim and Anthony discuss and breakdown points from Sunday's service.

This past Sunday, Tim preached on the thought "Does God Play?" It's a question that probably offends the majority of because "God is serious business!" What if there was an aspect to God that we never think about?

It's our 50th EPISODE!!!!! You'd think that Tim and I would be better at this by now. Alas, we are not. We still managed to have a great conversation revolving around Sunday's sermon, "How To Stay Grounded When The Ground Around You Is Moving". (Yes, we joked about the wordy title!). The indisputable fact of EVERY life is that instability WILL come in one form of another. The question is "How do we not topple over?"

Burdens. There just doesn't seem to be a way to put a positive spin on the word but, if we do a "linguistic perspective shift", we see that it's simply something that is carried or, an obligation, but it doesn't have to be heavy. Today, Tim and Anthony revisit Sunday's sermon "The Great Invitation" from our summer series "SELAH".

Static. That irritating noise that we experienced when we couldn't get a radio station to tune in fully or, for the younger generations, that irritating noise when you don't have a clear cellphone signal. Either we, we can't hear what we're trying to, need to or want to hear. On today's episode, Skip, Tim and Heather dive into Sunday's sermon "Adjusting the Receiver, Lingering Between Notes".

R&R. Rest and Relaxation. If you have a military background, it's Rest and Recuperation. Either way, we're taught that rest comes AFTER our work. It's what we DO when everything's DONE. Have you ever asked yourself if there is a better way to live. To serve? In, 'Working From Rest", the second sermon for our new series "SELAH", Pastor Tim invites us to explore that option.

Understanding, and adhering to, the difference between a STOP sign and YIELD sign is one of the most important things a driver must do in order to be safe and help ensure the safety of others. Understanding the difference between a PERIOD and a SELAH can make the difference in how we access the truths of the Bible, but also how we access the fleeting moments that we tend not to notice. On today's show, Tim and Heather talk about " Be Still and Know...", the first of our new sermon series "SELAH: Pause. Linger. Refresh. Repeat"
