The Campus Outreach StaffCast is a podcast made by CO staff, for CO staff everywhere. This podcast is produced by Campus Outreach SERVE in partnership and collaboration with the greater Campus Outreach movement.
Our guest this week is Brian Lewis, Pastor of Outreach at Second Presbyterian Church in Memphis, TN. Brian spent over 30 years on staff with Campus Outreach before transitioning to pastoral ministry at the church where he served as Regional Director for Campus Outreach Memphis. Brian's fervor for evangelism and multiplying discipleship is clearly seen as he shares about his conversion, ministry experience, and current efforts to be a laborer in God's harvest field. Brian's discipleship emphasis on being in Christ and his missional drive stem from being compelled by Christ, his personal Lord and Savior. We kept every minute of his interview intact because it was too good to cut!

Our guest this week is Kike Astorga, Regional Director of Campus Outreach Guadalajara, Mexico. Kike is a native of Guadalajara, commonly referred to missiologically as the center of "the circle of silence” in Mexico, where only 1-2% of the population identifies as evangelical Christian. Kike's personal testimony of faith, his drive to tell others about the gospel, and being convinced to labor among his own people in Jalisco, Mexico, are inspiring to hear. Kike also shares about his family and how good the Lord has been to them in the midst of hardship. The team in Guadalajara is experiencing a movement, and God is doing much to exemplify what can happen when a ministry is dedicated to walking faithfully with Christ and developing new believers into laborers.

Our guest this week is Grant Linneman, Tasman Network Director for Campus Outreach. Grant's testimony and experience are filled with the efforts of laborers in his own life. Our guest this week is Samantha Roberts, International Network Women's Development Director with Campus Outreach SERVE. We return to our conversation with Antjuan Marsh, a man who is an “uniter of people,” as our co-host Kent Bailey affectionately stated. Antjuan revisits the difficult times he endured during the COVID-19 pandemic and George Floyd protests in the early 2020s and how God desires to use everything: our experiences, talents, skills, and personalities for a hurting world that needs the gospel. Our guest this week is Antjuan Marsh, a CO alumnus who has been laboring in the field of public education for decades. Through his storytelling, Antjuan shares his testimony about the movement of the gospel that God brought to Troy University in the 1980s. He also shares his approach to being a laborer in public education and how the gospel breaks down the dividing wall of hostility in race relations. Antjuan charges CO staff to prepare young laborers to be salt and light for a lifetime in order to participate in the gospel transforming culture.

We return to our conversation with Nai and Bla from Khon Kaen, Thailand. They both continue to give insight into the movement that is happening in Thailand, in a region where only 2% of the population identifies as Christian, both the fruit and the challenges. Some of the challenges include equipping young men for leadership, seeing real multiplication happen for the first time, and how the local church is the key to addressing these challenges under God's grace.

This week we are joined by Pete and Sheri Ketterman. They have been deeply involved in Campus Outreach since their college days and have dedicated their lives to building laborers. They spent a number of years serving in South Africa before returning to the states. Pete serves as the Africa International Network Director and Sheri works as a teacher while taking every opportunity to share about Jesus. On this episode, they share about how God shaped them through the ministry, their missionary journey to South Africa, and how they are currently serving the Kingdom.

This week we are joined by Olan Stubbs. Olan got connected to Campus Outreach because of a burning desire God placed in him to share the Gospel with his fellow classmates. He and his wife Lynna served at the University of North Alabama for a few years and saw revival break out on the campus. Olan now serves as the South/Southwest Network Director and seeks to facilitate healthy connection and collaboration between the different regions in the Network. On this episode, Olan shares his heart for staff across the movement, his desire for evangelism and discipleship, the books he’s been working on, and some of the challenges being faced in the ministry.
