Please note especially that our final BBQ of the summer is next Sunday 3rd September and this will be another great occasion and opportunity to connect as a church family. You can book in online at www.encountervineyard.org.uk

This Sunday we are continuing our August Series ‘Framing Life.’ This is a series where we are talking about boundaries and framing our lives in a world where we struggle to juggle the many competing demands for our time, energy and resources. Today Karen will be bringing a message called ‘Walking with Jesus.’

We hope that you enjoy worshipping and celebrating with us today and, we pray that today would be a blessing for us all.

We had a great picnic last weekend and somehow managed to avoid the rain and find a little sunshine as well! It was such a joy to see so many gathered together, eating and enjoying one another’s company.

We are now in the month of August; the school holidays have begun and the rhythm of the church is a little quieter through the summer. We are always keen that the teams that serve in so many different ways within the life of Encounter are able to get some rest and refreshment.

Sunday celebrations are much the same. We are in the building and online - apart from next weekend when we will meet as church for a picnic - please see the information below. We so look forward to seeing you there for fun, friendship and connection.

This weekend we are starting our August Series ‘Framing Life’ as we pause collectively at this half-way stage in the year. This is going to be a series all about boundaries and framing our lives in a world where we struggle to juggle the competing demands for our time, energy and resources. Today Mark will be bringing a message called ‘Boundary Stones’ as he kicks the series off.

We hope that you enjoy worshipping and celebrating with us today and, we pray that today would be a blessing for us all.

Welcome to Sunday Online at Encounter Vineyard this weekend and thank you for joining us. We are so looking forward to worshipping together again today.

This Sunday we are drawing our early summer series ‘Rhythms’ to a close. In this series we have been reflecting on how there are rhythms all around us - rhythms in creation and nature, as well as the rhythms that we create in our own lives.

So far, we have explored the rhythms of intentionally studying scripture, listening to God, living with gratitude and thankfulness, growing in prayer and this weekend Mark will be bringing a message on the ancient and early church rhythm of fasting. In this message Mark will be exploring why we fast as believers and how it helps us deepen our relationship with God.

Next week we start a new series called ‘Framing Life.’

We hope that you enjoy worshipping and celebrating with us today and, we pray that today would be a blessing for us all.

We are now well into our summer series ‘Rhythms.’ This is a series where we have been reflecting on how there are rhythms all around us. There are the rhythms in creation and nature, then there are the rhythms that we create.

When it comes to dancing, we may not get to choose whether we have rhythm or not ... but the rhythms that matter the most, we do get to choose! This series is really exploring how the lives that we live are the results of the rhythms that we create.

This weekend Malcolm Hayes, who is celebrating his 4th year anniversary with us here at Encounter Vineyard, is bringing a message called ‘Time for G and T’ He will be encouraging us to develop the rhythm of gratitude and thankfulness in our lives.

We hope that you enjoy worshipping and celebrating with us today and, we pray that today would be a blessing for us all.

We all pass through times when we feel full of purpose, joy and hope and times when we feel overwhelmed, seasons when God's presence is clearly felt and seasons when God seems far away. We can learn more about ourselves by knowing our season and by allowing God to work within and through it.

Lynette, who works with Kintsugi Hope, will help us embrace the fact that God is always present and working through our different seasons.
